0:11 - Woah! It must have taken you so long to create that motion graphic. How long does it take you to edit a video like this? It was so well produced 💯
Hey! I’m not her, but I do edit videos as well. The scrolling on the right was probably a screen recording of her scrolling and then cropped and moved to the side, the text moving can be done by writing the same text twice and copy pasting back and forth to create a stop motion, and the pink could just be a solid color generator with the opacity turned down! I love her production too, just thought I’d answer your question since I have a background in editing lol.
Hiya! Thanks so much for this question AND answer hahaha, I hadn't checked the comments yet but my mom told me about this comment and I had to come answer cause I love nerding about this stuff haha I did initially take a screen recording of me scrolling through the calendar, but I found it better to actually just take a freeze frame (so it could have just been a screenshot) and then use keyframes to make it move smoothly from top to bottom. I cropped it and placed it on top of an internet browser frame graphic that I found online a while ago to give it those rounded edges. This was the hardest part: to insert the videos into the events, I cropped it to match the shape of the calendar event. Then I changed the blending mode to something other than "normal"... it might have been "multiply"? Basically I wanted the name of the event to still be visible and for the video clip to retain some of the color of the calendar event. Then I used keyframes and changed the position every 2-3 frames to make it follow the movement of the calendar. Exactly right on the pink - a color generator with opacity turned down, and the text was three separate PNGs that I did with my graphics tablet and cycled between.

I'm coming up on a school year that is infamously stressful and workload heavy, applying the concepts for your videos is basically the main reason I feel confident enough even attempt this challenge (as a recovering total slacker) thanks Beatrice!
This was so helpful for me! I like the idea of calendar blocking because I think it would be very helpful for me, as a very messy and forgetful person. I've tried to follow other people's advice of having a million different calendars for every single thing (one for eating, one for resting, one for working out, one for school, one for leisure, one for plans, etc, etc.) and I always end up giving up because I felt like it was too much work and lost all of my time planning this little activities and got overwhelmed seeing so many events and colours on the calendar.
This is great! I love using iCal for personal stuff but now I'm definitely going to just have EVERYTHING in my iCal including my business and work stuff, learning, time blocking etc. Thanks for all the tips! 😄
Really useful video, I like what you do with the mentor session calendar. I always find your videos, especially the planning ones very cheerful and calming. Thank you
This is really helpful. I tried digital planning in a PDF template on my iPad and it helped keep me organize plus it was cute/fun to decorate BUT if it's not in my iCalendar it's really not happening lol. So managing two calendars just doesn't make sense. Plus a lot of gyms, schools, salons, etc. are starting to integrate with iCal so def useful. Thank you for all the great tips!!
Hello The Bliss Bean, I love your time management and productivity videos. I also use iCal exactly like you. It feels great to divide my weekly work into groups every Sunday evening, to divide it into days and hours, and to see on the calendar that I have made a great use of every moment. But during the week, things may not go as expected. I have a motivation problem and I fall behind the schedule I prepared. This makes me feel high stress and I feel like a failure. When you prepare these programs, what is the rate of realization in general? How do you organize your program or what do you do after the problems you experience behind the program entirely because of you?
just one comment regarding your "Birthdays Calendar": If you maintain the birthday within your contact it automatically appears as an Event in your Calendar (incl. the turning age in case you have maintained the year of birth also).
Thanks this was helpful I have never been a Calendar person my whole life but as I am getting super busy between owning a business, job, graduate degree, puppy.... I forget things so easily which never used to happen but here we are. My biggest problem is the to-do list part. How do you manage a to-do list? I find it annoying that to-do's don't show up on my calendar and without subscribing to yearly paid apps I can't figure out a work around
ical is like calendar on an Apple? I have a windows PC and an icloud account, but there's no calendar on it. So, none of this can apply to me? I mean I can see notes, drive, pages, contacts but no calendar. So, guess I should go look for a youtube video on how to get access to ical on windows.
You need to sync your Google calander and iCal to use them together. I've done this and I can use my android phone or macbook and see the same calendar, but it doesn't allow the different colour coding (unless I just haven't figured that out yet)
I went and had a look as I wanted to spruce up my calendar and see if I could use it for time blocking, not just keeping track of appointments. Found out that if I create different calendars in Google and colour code them, they will all sync with ical (it doesn't work the other way around, so make sure to make any new calendars in google first, on web browser, not in the app). So now I have a different calendar for each thing I want to schedule and can access them all across my android phone and macbook :D

Monday start weeks. Truly cultured. I switched over when I was using a Hobonichi and now starting a week with Sunday just feels weird.
Hahaha I can't imagine Sunday
iCal is such a nice software! I really enjoy all of these different kinds of calendar apps!
I'm coming up on a school year that is infamously stressful and workload heavy, applying the concepts for your videos is basically the main reason I feel confident enough even attempt this challenge (as a recovering total slacker) thanks Beatrice!
🤗🤗
6:15 You can add birthdays in the contacts app so it will create an all day event by saying how old the person is (if you add the year)
Thank uuuuuu 🥺
I'm looking for this

To add to your glass jar analogy, be sure to pour water in that jar. It will completely fill up the jar and it is a good reminder to drink water. :D
I love your channel! Keep up the good work!

Me encantó!! ❤

thank you so much for your dedication and effort, we can see it 💗
love ❤️
I used to think you were crazy. In a good way. Now I do this every Sunday religiously 🤦🏾♀️🤣😂.
I love the subscription of calendars, but remember you are on the mercy of the professor inputting that information in the dates, etc.
It's just for classes, not assignments, it's what we all follow, students and professors haha there's no more accurate source of information
Why do I only learn this now when I only have a month of school left !!
omg i really want to try ical but i cant find it in App Store :s is the normal Apple’s calendar?
Yeah, I think iCal is just Apple’s native calendar.
yes!
does anyne know why i only have coloured dots on apple calender & not the blocks?
I didn't know I could sync my BB calendar with my iCal!

can people with androids use ical?
I guess no

First of its kind: iCal
