This message is for both of you!
Quitting isn’t really an option. You can always evolve your content and the persona you’ve built online. You have the freedom to adapt it however you want, while still protecting your privacy. UA-cam has become a big part of your life, and walking away might leave you with regret. It’s in your control to decide what people see. When you truly love what you’re doing, it doesn’t feel like work-it becomes part of you. It’s what you wake up for, what you go to sleep thinking about. It’s the passion that keeps you energized and motivated to keep moving forward, giving meaning to your life. This is the dream you’ve worked hard to build.
UA-cam isn’t a destination; it’s a journey. And the journey should be enjoyed. If you’re not enjoying this process, it’s worth questioning if it’s the right path, because if you don’t love it, you may end up quitting sooner or later.
Building an online presence is more than just creating content-it’s a journey of self-expression, personal growth, and sometimes even crafting an entire identity around what you love.
When you pour so much of yourself into a dream, like growing a UA-cam channel, it becomes woven into your life. It’s not just about making videos; it’s about sharing a part of yourself and connecting with others. Over time, this passion fuels your daily energy and motivates you to improve and evolve, not just as a creator, but as a person.
In tough times, quitting can be tempting. But walking away from something so deeply integrated into your life can leave a void. The idea of “evolving” rather than quitting is powerful because it embraces change as a natural part of growth. You don’t have to remain the same; you can keep adjusting your style, content, or persona to match who you’re becoming. This approach gives you freedom without abandoning your dream.
At the heart of it, when you truly love what you do, the hard work and challenges don’t hold you back-they drive you forward. It becomes the reason you wake up excited and go to bed full of ideas. For many creators, staying dedicated to their passion is far more rewarding than taking an “easy” way out. Even when it’s challenging, you remain in control and keep progressing in a way that aligns with who you are and who you want to become.

This makes total sense, I had been mulling over starting a channel but many of the concerns you brought up had occurred to me (social exhaustion, blurred boundaries between work and life.) I settled on writing blogs for myself and starting there; I may join a community one day or I may just keep it for myself. All I know is once I disconnected from the idea of being a content creator, there was this huge shift where I started enjoying life and spontaneity again. It’s very cool to hear these thoughts coming from someone who has done the thing I was trying to do! Thank you for your authenticity and for sharing your thoughts with us 🤗 wishing you more BLISS in this new chapter of life ☺️

That's right online is not real but people think that it's real and that's how they screw their lives up because they become narcissistic and they start using terminology to justify the problems in their own lives that they don't want to deal with so I wish you a very happy normal life and you are a really nice lady by the way this is the first time I've ever seen you

the way I giggled throughout this because it's soo freaking REAL, especially the wake up, set up the camera, pretend you're sleep. the blending of personal vs work life and your identity, the internet being unforgiveable towards growth & change and the thought that people know you more than they actually do.

I love your honesty and courage here. Social media, for all its positive aspects too, is a beast that is constantly hungry and when life/content becomes too enmeshed many creators get overwhelmed or burnout. Good for you for staying true and stepping away from what isn't good for you anymore. Big loves & may all your future endeavours bring you all the joy. xxx

Aww Bean! It's kinda sad to see you go, I had my own struggles with content creation during the pandemic and at that time you were a huge source of inspiration, I always loved your editing style and learned a lot from it and your organization skills, I could also relate to you a lot from the fact that we were both BTS Army, that being said, (and this is more about me than you) your content was also a source of anxiety because I always perceived you as the standard for content creation, someone to aspire to be like, and it felt like I would never reach it (again this is not a dig on you but my own insecurities skjdlksj) so even though it's sad to not get any content from you in the future, I'm also really happy that you came to the point of being comfortable with leaving, that you found a new path that you're happy with, I wish you nothing but the best and thank you for all the bliss!

Bye Beatrice! I’ll miss your videos for sure, but I’d also wound down on watching them, for a very cool reason: just like u said about your routine not changing cuz it works, you genuinely changed my life and my goals and habits for the better. That change was very real and lasting so I didn’t need to keep on binging productivity content anymore, I could just live and be productive and achieve things by myself. You really really helped me get to this place and I’m so grateful!
(Also all your points made perfect sense I feel them too even as a non-influencer individual)

I discovered your videos when I was researching whether or not I should get an Apple Watch (spoiler, I did and I have worn it most days for the past 3 years) and I loved your editing, the topics you chose, and even the familiarity of your bell pepper eggs every morning lol. But this has to be my favorite video of 2024. Thank you for your true sincerity. I can completely relate to what you shared about how your personal life became the foundation of your content as a creator. It also deepens your personal life, helping you discover what you truly need and want.

    Dear Beatrice,
I cannot think of any other place or way to convey my feelings. You have been that elder sister to me even though we are almost exactly of the same age. I look up to you and will always do. I followed people on Substack but never actually read them, but now that you have mentioned the healthy part of reading long form articles I will make it a habit of reading others' works. I have always always loved to watch and re-watch your videos be it your weekly reviews or the video about Tweek; i can promise you i watched those over 20 times because i always loved to hear your words of confirmation and authentic thoughts. Seeing the thumbnail broke my heart in ways i might never be able to say but at the end of the video i cried with you. I am so so happy that you are exactly who you always were, staying true to what you believe no matter the context. This step also reflects that nature of you. Just remember whatever you put out there has changed lives for the better. Thank you for each and every video. Know that all your efforts have helped thousands maybe millions.
    Regards, Meghna

Hi Beatrice, thank you for your honesty. As a person who just started a UA-cam channel (well like a year ago) I was so curious on what you will say. I so appreciate the transparency and openness.
You created a beautiful community that will always be here for you. If you’re not going to post videos from now on, that’s totally ok because that is what you need for this stage in your life no matter how long it might be. If you ever decide to come back, we will still be here for you.
One of the things that is absolutely beautiful about creating videos is that you invited us to be your close friends. Yes, you have no idea who I am but you have impacted my life in so many beautiful ways, and not only mine. Take your time to build the life that you want for yourself while we will still be here being proud of you! 🫶🏼♥️

Thank you for this video. I have struggled a lot with my online presence : I deleted my instagram many times and used to post a lot on my private account but felt so uncomfortable by the feeling of being watched, counting the likes, etc. Because I love documenting my life and keeping my memories I found a fun way of doing that and it’s scrapbooking. It doesn’t have to be aesthetic, cute, it can look bad and I’ll just call it “experimental” because I don’t have to show it to anyone. After my bachelor in graphic design, I felt so “empty” and wasn’t able to create, journal, diy like I would before (felt like I gave it all to school). So it makes me happy to find outlets that are for me and myself only, no pressure, just funzies. I look forward to reading you. Take care :)

I never comment so this feels strange but you have changed my life in so many ways! I resonate with so much of what you said here in my own experience as a social media person and business owner. I have been following you since highschool, and you've given such unique and wise takes on so many different subjects. I got time tracking from you, weekly resets, time blocking, journalling, Notion, and so much relatability that I have carried with me in my early 20s! Although I could tell your channel has been shifting and you were grappling with UA-cam personally, I seriously know you will be so dearly missed. Thank you for all your hard work and passion! I wasn’t sure how I’d feel after seeing the title of this video, but I clicked and watched it to the end. I usually avoid videos like this for two reasons: they can be clickbait, and I don’t want to end up feeling sad.
I thought I might cry while watching, but instead, I felt really happy for her. Finding something you’re passionate about and pursuing it feels liberating. It’s like resigning from a job that you both love and hate-what a wonderful feeling!
I’ve been thinking about starting a UA-cam channel myself, but now I’m a bit unsure. 😅
Please don’t delete this channel! I still want to watch your videos from time to time.

I must admit that your videos during pandemic made me decide starting to organize my life and I really feel that’s helping me so much in my growth. But I admire your decision of set boundaries and priorities. As long as that makes you happy, that’s ok. I will be súper grateful with you forever!

I'm so happy for you! I want to tell you that you opened my mind rn. I've been wanting to have my own blog dedicated to God, christians, and people who are insterested in knowing about God, but for me too, to document what the Lord teaches me in life (and 'cause I can't afford to have a website) I decided to have like a digital diary on instagram for it BUT it has been SOOOO difficult for me to start. I've been watching videos on yt about those topics and others as well (like film making and stuff like that) 'cause I thought that's what I was supposed to do in this generation. But tbh, I'm terrible at expressing myself verbally and I don't have too much resources + I just love writing. TY so much for talking about this topic with such honesty. Now, I'll just pursue my love for writing, that talent the Lord gave me, to glorify Him and help others as well! 'Cause is not about me, is about God and that's the core of what I care about. God bless you, sweetheart! I'll definetly keep reading you.

I have that same problem with friends; like if i mention something to 1 person, i usually no longer feel the need to share it with anyone else. It makes it hard to maintain friendships even because i dont even think of it as something to say! I think if i was a youtuber it would negatively affect me in that way too

I've always been a little against productivity channels because it made me feel worse about not being like them, but when I discovered your content it felt so easy to understand and put into practice because of the way that you explained everything that I've stuck to it and have watched it ever since. I'm SO grateful for what you've put out there and it has helped a lot. I hope you are happy doing whatever you're doing and most importantly, enjoying it.

I read a book about multiple passions as part of your book club! And that was cool - I’d never read a book like that even though I fully fitted into the category of people the book was referring to. I just generally really enjoy how articulate and thoughtful you are. Definitely subscribing to your Substack!!! Go Beatrice!!! Onwards and upwards!

Damn you'll be missed, we're similar age and going through life at a similar stage. Ive been following you since before you joining uni( when you took two gap years, so did i( for various reasons)), i remember when you got accepted and i got my letter as well so very similar stages in life. Its always seemed like we're going through the same thing. I wish we could have connected and talked or whatever cuz it felt so weird seeing someone going through the same things as me. Either way i love your channel and i hope you're happy with whatever you do.
