I haven’t seen a doctor for ten years but I did get fobbed off with two separate nurses. I thought then how convenient it was to give nurses the power to diagnose and prescribe and how much cheaper it would be to employ them. Having said that one of the nurses cleared up a problem that was ignored for years by the doctor but the other nurse was hopeless. Her answer to the extreme hair loss I was suffering was to go to the hairdresser every six weeks to have the ends trimmed. That gave me no confidence in trying to discuss any future health issue. Recently it took me three days to obtain a telephone appointment with a doctor and I was so ill …so worrying how things have got so bad.
In Scotland, we use Physicians Associates. They are NOT Doctors. Their training is more basic nursing health care. A Nurse Practitioner is a more highly qualified nurse and will consult a GP if she/he feels this is necessary. The NHS has accurate information online or at your practice.
I could only get an appointment with a nurse practitioner and she told me my left ear was badly congested and referred me to ENT clinic. They tested my ears and told me there was nothing wrong with my ears!! When I asked the Consultant why the nurse would say what she did he replied, " incompetence and inexperience". That tells me everything 😮
An elderly friend of mine had a terrible end, a doctor would not come out to the care home in case of covid (this is in summer 2022) the nurse practitioner said that my friend just needed an enema, she died from Sepsis. On another subject, it's ridiculous that we seem unable to remove this government now and not years from now, each day we see our culture being destroyed.
I was once called in to my surgery for a ‘health check up’. I have mobility issues but don’t have a car so I had to pay for a taxi both ways. When I arrived, I was shown into a windowless ‘cupboard’ where I met an oldish man who hadn’t a clue. He couldn’t find the blood pressure cuff & wasted half an hour looking for it. He was pleasant enough but…he was nothing to do with the practice, had no qualifications & I never did find out why they’d (surgery) had sent me to him.
I read a post recently of a Britisher living in Russia, and he said he had a bill for the whole year for his energy usage which was the equivalent of £168 and that he said included his rubbish collection.
Our GP surgery has brought in 'Total Triage'. You have to fill in an E'consult form which gets triaged by who know who. You might be sent to a nurse, pharmacist, physio, social prescriber, mental health practitioner, nurse associate, or if you are very lucky, a GP! I wonder what they have in place for medical misdiagnosis. Plus, who is reading your E-consult and making that decision.
This happened to me, I could not get an appointment with a Dr at my surgery so was pleased to find I had succeeded to get one with a young female Dr. I saw her for over a year, and wondered why she seemed unable to answer some of my enquiries as to my health problem. It turned out she was unqualified and not a doctor at all and I only found this out by chance. Dishonest of the surgery to deliberately mislead patients . Potentially dangerous too.

I wasnt happy with an appointment i had with a doctor, i felt like i weren't taken seriously and i felt she were wrong about my diagnosis. I came out not very happy and spoke to a receptionist because i wanted a second opinion from another doctor. Turns out it was a bloody paramedic i saw for my appointment 😮 i mean what the hell is going on? No disrespect to paramedics but it was a doctor i wanted to see. My surgery is also palming off certain things to pharmacies to deal with, well my pharmacy is in my local supermarket and i said im not getting my 10 year old daughters fungal foot infection out in Tesco for the world to see so let me see a bloody doctor 😂, got my way in the end lol. What on earth is going on with this country June??
Again June. "Brilliant chat". Informing us of news thats not being told to us by the media. Gosh!!! Youve opened my eyes to so many important issues. Thank you for all you do Xx ❤ ❤ ❤
I was given an appointment with a PA.. it was triaged over the web . I was dubious but I saw a lovely lady who I questioned . She explained that people get funnelled the simple things to her leaving the doctor to more serious or complicated cases .. this meant IMO that this lady seemed to know more about these less complicated.. issues. Persistent sore throat loss of voice ,spots. Coughs . Sores .. And she popped out to get a prescription signed.. on this occasion I was happy. I didn't have to wait weeks. And weeks to see the GP... It's not always bad ...
Our GP receptionist lied when I asked if I was seeing a fully qualified GP. In the appt. the name badge said foundation dr. Also we/UK Govt. Pay the surgeries to train these under qualified drs. So not only are we getting inexperienced & under-trained healthcare, but we are paying extra for it too!
My husband saw a nurse for his Rheumatoid Arthritis review a few weeks ago. I was expecting my husband to see a doctor, I asked if she could prescribe something he needed only to be told she couldn't. She had to look something up in her little book of notes when I asked for blood test forms and she had someone with her who was "training" to do the same thing in another surgery
Thanks June , I always come away from your posts well informed . I am passing on your information in little bite size snippets to others - It works wonders . Keep up the brilliant work . I have been telling people they need to be voting in the local council elections for Reform . We need them in as many places as possible .The number of people who say to me, that they are voting for Reform the next time (2029) is growing. I am pleasantly surprised by some, as I wasn’t aware that they were taking much notice of politics. I do think more and more people are fed up with this country and are waking up to the fact that something needs to be done democratically, before it’s too late . Thank you again June .
I’ve not seen an actual dr for years. My family had to call them out to me at home recently as I was unable to get out of bed I was being so sick. A really lovely guy came. Said he was a paramedic.
The last time I was at the Doctor’s surgery, because I got a letter from my GP to say I was due a blood pressure check, and to phone for an appointment for my yearly BP check. I phoned, made an appointment for the check, reported to the surgery for that check, and was asked by the nurse why I was there, how did I get an appointment, and what my my blood pressure reading was! My reply to that was, I was lettered by the surgery to make that appointment, which I duly did, and was here for her to check my blood pressure, and for her to tell me what it was!!!!
I received a call from the nurse at my doctors for a review of my COPD, for which I have a yearly breathing test. I asked them how that would work on the phone.
Advanced medical Practioner thats what they call ours ,had the misfortune to be seeing one of these ,i asked too see a doctor which is what i thought i was seeing ,ended up seeing a doctor three weeks later ,so three weeks of wasted time ,am now hopefully on the mend ,what a waste of taxpayers money ,
That answers something that had puzzled me a few months ago. I went to our local surgery with my wife to try and get her a simple procedure done that had already been discussed with a hospital consultant, it is something that can be done in a few minutes by a district nurse. We thought the young man we were talking to was a junior doctor. He wore a blue tunic, and I noticed two others in the surgery similarly dressed. I was puzzled as he didn't talk like a doctor would and was quite difficult to deal with. I left the surgery thinking I don't want to see him again.
If I take my car to the mechanic, I don't expect him to let his invoice secretary have a bash at repairing it just because he's short-staffed. It's exactly the same with doctors. Our surgery palmed me off with a paramedic appointment, whilst letting me think it was a doctor. It was only when I saw his name badge with his job title on it that I realised. I will never accept another one.
I knew this when the NHS sold surgeries to Operose health 4 year's ago (American company) the then CEO who was in charge got a top job in No 10 I think her name was Samantha Jones I will go and check!
I know a guy who had a emergency appointment at his gps , saw a guy who was one of these paramedic physicians he went there very unwell breathing issues chest pain was sent away stating his blood pressure tablets needed changing , no tests no ECG that night he nearly lost his life was brought back to life by the ambulance guys had major surgery that night it’s frightening that not even the basics was done for someone presenting typical heart issues
Have been a victim of the associate myself at my own practice. Sat for an hour waiting and then when I I finally got to see someone it wasn’t until about 4 or 5 minutes into the conversation I realised I was being triaged by someone who knew nothing of my history or condition.

I saw a senior nurse when i had a chest infection an she gave me anti biotics.
On another occasion I was given the wrong meds 🙈
They are using Nurse practitioners more and more too up here in Scotland!
In Scotland, we use Physicians Associates. They are NOT Doctors. Their training is more basic nursing health care. A Nurse Practitioner is a more highly qualified nurse and will consult a GP if she/he feels this is necessary.
The NHS has accurate information online or at your practice.
they probably know more than the doctors
I could only get an appointment with a nurse practitioner and she told me my left ear was badly congested and referred me to ENT clinic. They tested my ears and told me there was nothing wrong with my ears!! When I asked the Consultant why the nurse would say what she did he replied, " incompetence and inexperience". That tells me everything 😮
Thats good news regarding Reform
An elderly friend of mine had a terrible end, a doctor would not come out to the care home in case of covid (this is in summer 2022) the nurse practitioner said that my friend just needed an enema, she died from Sepsis. On another subject, it's ridiculous that we seem unable to remove this government now and not years from now, each day we see our culture being destroyed.
My Grandfather died for Britain .
Yes us Brits will stand for the 3 card trick in been ripped off, we must have a stamp on our heads ( MUGS )
love ya June, never stop, your my kind of woman , queen of common sense xx
Buy British people 🎉
.....more things the legacy media haven't don't talk about. We are always top of the league tables of sh*t things.
I have been told this by a friend who's daughter is a fully qualified doctor .
These associates only have 3 years training .
YES WE ARE ALL VOTING REFORM IN MAY
I was once called in to my surgery for a ‘health check up’.
New names all the time in our doctors surgery, they disappear then new names appear. ????????
They won't be replaced with "John Smith" or "Deborah Jones" either. More like Olugami Getamami Popufalab.
😂@@jumblestiltskin1365😂😂

Thats like a teaching assistant doing the job of a teacher. Worse are people with a little knowledge in charge of our health.
We can blame Labour because they've never challenged to Tories about anything they just nodded it through
.. What about the people who keep voting these lot in???
Labour have been tories in waiting!
@@mileaterMore like the other way round.
I read a post recently of a Britisher living in Russia, and he said he had a bill for the whole year for his energy usage which was the equivalent of £168 and that he said included his rubbish collection.
My sister and I were in Exeter today at the Reform Party conference, needless to say it was brilliant June 🇬🇧
My doctors practice in Didsbury had all that’s being talked about on your post in operation ❗️
Your optimism makes my day. Thanks for all that you do June 🙏
Receptionists. The gate keepers.
When my son’s been ill he has quite often seen a paramedic at the doctors.
I share June's posts especially like this one! People should be informed about who they might be seeing at the surgery.
Where do you share ? 😊
Exactly. We the people have the power ❤

Thats exactly what has happened in our Drs surgery. Dentists are not available either. Norfolk area
Thank You for highlighting this June. And yes Council Elections are vital, especially when so many of them are Labour.
Its true i did work in NHS i got told this 6 months ago if new what else happened in our NHS u be shock
Knew not 'new.'
Yes i already know about PAs. If I'm not seeing my own doctor I ask if he/she is a real doctor or a PA 🥴🤦
Again June. "Brilliant chat". Informing us of news thats not being told to us by the media. Gosh!!! Youve opened my eyes to so many important issues. Thank you for all you do
Xx ❤ ❤ ❤
Yes I saw that graph! Bloody disgusting! We’ve got no hope!
No man is an Island unless they live in Britain.
Ridiculous! You would be as well consulting Google than a nurse.
@hcm444 It was a review of his meds and how he was getting on with them and I can't get blood test forms from Google 😢
Its planned and going to plan.
Watching from beautiful Brazil !!
The people targeting the football fans were committing HATE CRIMES....
Great news and a few more will follow x
My bones liver and kidneys cane back abnormal. Guess what a few weeks later everything is ok,without any medication.... Do i believe them NO.
I knew this when the NHS sold surgeries to Operose health 4 year's ago (American company) the then CEO who was in charge got a top job in No 10 I think her name was Samantha Jones I will go and check!
This is so wrong wow. We need reform asap
Lives. He would marching to downing dtreet in protest against Starmer in disgust
So happy and glad that you keep us all informed. Thank you. I appreciate what you are doing. It can’t be easy.
Love to you June, God's love and protection, Joseph Tittel and Craig Hamilton Parker are great supports for meditation to help to relax,.
Have been a victim of the associate myself at my own practice. Sat for an hour waiting and then when I I finally got to see someone it wasn’t until about 4 or 5 minutes into the conversation I realised I was being triaged by someone who knew nothing of my history or condition.
