It's so cold now, we have just out our heating on, we can't really afford it either but might as well have it for a few hours in the morning as we still have to pay nearly a pound standing charge whether we use it or not.
@@Rachel.hydepark Yep, almost a pound a day for the "Levy" on energy companies for not self policing as they were required to do. Bulb went bust and good ol Sunak bailed everyone out (£6.5Billion) and made the energy companies cough up to cover the loss to the country out of their enormous profits.... only kidding us mugs are made to bail out the energy companies that continue to make increased profits year on year. Why is nobody looking at those numbers that's a pound a day for every household in the UK (30million of them) and we have had it how many years? Its £10 Billion quid a year by my rough maths so £30 Billion since 2021 that's five times what it cost for the bailout. At some point we must have paid this back and our Levy charge should be removed. Is anybody asking when? Oh no that's right its not the companies stealing from everyone's pockets that we should worry about it's (insert minority scapegoat of the day here) fault.
Only those MPs who are responisble for this fiasco .... *So ALL the Tories, ALL Labour (except the newbies) and probably half the LibDems* NOT that normal people can see much difference between any of them - They're *all woke elites*
I think that is why they want to review PIP payments next year and also rumours of reviewing the state pension. Would be interesting to know how much child benefit is been paid out to children who live abroad.

About 10 years ago I was out of work for an extended period. Because my partner was working and we didn't have any kids at the time we got no help from the state whatsoever and had to live in penury (and ever increasing debt). I ended up becoming s**cidal and it destroyed both our lives. And my partner decided to abort our baby because she did not think she could cope if I fully tipped over the edge and self-deleted. Fortunately I was saved by an offer of work that came in just at the right time. I cannot tell you how bitter I am to see these kinds of handouts.
What happened to you is sooo wrong...glad you were able to turn it around. When I was ill and unable to work I got naff all as a single person..£245 per month to live on inc mortgage, utilities etc...then they I was fit to work, going against my cardio and respiratory consultants assessment...didn't and still don't have the energy to fight it so went back to work part time...still get nothing as I earn more then the system paid me...I don't pay tax and will do my upmost to not pay it ever again
Sooo glad you both made it through such a dark time. 🙏🙏🏾 If you can, please save as much as you can when rainy days come again; as it does for everyone from time to time.
Immigration has massively increased rent prices in my area. When I drop my kids at school, barely any of the parents are English. Legal migration is destroying the country as much as those migrants living in hotels.
A house that we have been considering to rent went from 1350 to 1500 overnight. This must stop. Asides from the economic strain, the rise in crime is climbing. Never known so many ' isolated incidents ' or sirens in the neighbourhood.

Rupert Lowe is a legend among men. His work as an MP is unrivalled. He donates his salary every month to local causes. He had public toilets reopened for market traders and their customers. Had an abandoned car moved on the way into his borough. He took no break when parliament was in recess a few weeks after the election - like most did when pictures emerged of Angela Rayner having it large in Ibiza. No job has been too big or small for him to tackle. However, if you look at other MPs and councillors they do nothing but slate him, fail to engage with him or ignore all of his requests for communication - and no wonder, he is making them look bad. One MP said (or words to that effect): he isn't a real MP like the rest of us... and I would have to agree with that statement. I only wish my local MP was half as good as him.
Also Rupert Lowe has an online constituency poll for the assisted dying vote in Westminster. He says his vote will mirror the poll result. We actually have an MP who works for us!!!
@@pip3124Utter rubbish, you earn money from your employer or through your company then a chunk of that is transferred to the Government via HMRC. That money was mine in the first place I earned it. Indeed so. More power to Mr. Lowe and how many of these "asylum seekers" are likely to be genuine when all who decide to make their way here know what a soft touch we are?
Just tried to help my 90 year old mother apply for heating allowance and realised how poor British pensioners are. She's worked most of her life running a domestic electrical shop and doing the books for the contracting side, retiring well after she could of. Paid tax and National Insurance. She gets £962 per month old age pension. After all her outgoings, rent rates, BBC TV tax, (at 90 ffs), water, electric, telephone, heating oil, food etc. She has 107 left at the end of the month. She has to buy clothes and any other necessities from this. Nothing left for treats. Never drank or smoked. She worked out that she spends £25 per week on food ffs. I think she probably spends more leaving even less at the end of the month. And then I see those ILLEGAL ECONOMIC PARASITES get everything for free😢😢😢
@andythurlow1614 i highly recommend you go to the age uk website benefits calculator, they can help work out what benefits your mother is entitled to but are make so complicated that they dont know about them. Your mother should be receiving housing benefit for full rent, council tax benefit and pension credit on top of her pension by my quick calculation. make sure she is getting all help she has earned.

Exactly. That’s how crap it is. Up to £900 EVERY MONTH verses a one off £300. Pathetic how we look after foreign nationals more than our own who’ve paid into the system for decades.
Study after study shows they contribute more in taxes than they receive so they are net ADDERS to the coffers. It's like complaining a guest ate a cake in your house and ignoring they brought the cake and some donuts
The stats are misleading; refugees and those given humanitarian protection are exempt from the Habitual Residence Test, i.e. very few in those in the figures are refugees or other people granted asylum. "You are exempt from the Habitual Residence Test for means-tested benefits if: You are a refugee or have humanitarian protection. You lived in Ukraine until the end of 2021 and left in connection with the Russian invasion in February 2022, and you have leave to remain in the UK or you are British or Irish." Furthermore, while the UC habitual residence test is applied to most claimants, it’s only rigorously checked for people with pre-settled status i.e. it's mostly settled EU Citizen given indefinite leave to remain via the EU Settlement Scheme, following Brexit.
@@Diamonddavej Also context matters - you can be working but on UC if your income is low. You can be on UC if you're disabled and getting disability. You can be on UC because your work contract ended and you're legitimately between jobs. There are lot of ppl on benefits who frankly shouldn't be - but illegal immigrants DO NOT get UC.
It's been going on for years and our politicians don't care because it doesn't affect them, apart from maybe a couple of votes at elections. There is no incentive for them to actually do anything about it.
@@me38443 Exactly. I can't believe it when people really think there's a difference between the Conservative and Labour parties. Not only do they have the same policies in practice (even if their manifesto says otherwise - we've seen the Tories for the last ten years be Labour Lite) but them losing seats in the election doesn't do ANYTHING to the top brass of the Tory party. They're still making shit tons of money, which is all they really care about. This is democracy gone wrong, 101. An effectively one party system where you're given the illusion of choice, whilst the elite and political class stamp the boot ever harder on your face. There is no incentive to change. They're accelerating the decline because they get more money from their donors. Even though all of this is entirely obvious to anyone with half a functioning brain, people STILL take the "stiff upper lip" approach. It's disgraceful, from the politicians, and the public for putting up with this shit for so long.
@ScotChef Indeed. Just got to remember both sides of the aisle are to blame for it. Labour started it, the Tories made it worse, and now Labour are back to accelerate it getting worse.
If you worked your entire life in a generation where houses cost a pittance and have risen in value 100x or more, had better pensions and retired earlier than any other generation, and also had cheapest fuel, food and living costs ... and still can't afford to heat ur house, good grief you failed miserably. Imagine working in our generation where no one can save a penny, no one can buy a house and no one can afford anything. I don't pity the pensioners, I think they had the best of everything and you probably find half of them freezing to death in their 1million pound house because their so tight they don't want to turn the heating on. Sod them, ungrateful generation that did nothing but moan.
As a British citizen, I'm glad you have covered this. You are doing God's work by shining a light in the darkness, speaking truth in the face of lies and deception.
This whole anti-immigration hysteria is one of the greatest delusions. Britons completely ignore close to slavery deal which most working immigrants have and huge value generated by them. They completely forget about huge earnings, which universities have from teaching foreign students, and which everyone enjoy through all sorts of redistribution. Britons are happy when immigrants feed their single moms, that have like 2K a month for doing nothing. But as soon as few immigrants manage to get some scraps off the table, Britons immediately turn this whole story into "light and darkness" matter. Entitled, ungrateful, delusional nation.
Even for British people who are disabled/sick and unable to work? Or do you mean just for those coming into the country and aren't actually contributing to its welfare and economy?
Handing out social benefits to everyone who washes up on our shores is a brilliant way to turn the majoriry against a welfare state. If people value these services, they should be protecting them and making sure they aren't abused like this.
My wife and I claim universal credit currently (we are working on an alternative) and the situation is complicated. We home school and have children from previous marriage (not mine) and so are in a catch 22 with earnings and benefits. Neither of us take UC for granted and have worked our whole lives, so have contributed, until recently and seriously appreciate where it will enable us to get in the future and so we are both greatly peeved by how these people take full advantage of our system.
They also need to process asylum claims quickly, not spend billions housing them for years until they make a decision. Even if initially they have to spend a few million hiring hundreds more staff to process the claims, we would soon start saving money on accommodation alone, then add in food, NHS etc... People are already turning against people like me who are disabled because we are always the easiest target. Yet I see people who have never worked and they don't seem to be being chased around or made to work. Now they are talking about cutting disability benefits, they've done the pensioners and now for the disabled, as again we are the easy targets. Why should British people and those who have a right to be here be first to have their money cut? It's not like we are living lavish lifestyles, and our living expenses are quite a bit higher. When I heard years ago when they put a cap on benefits what people had been getting, I was shocked, even though I'm disabled so apparently a drain I have never received anywhere near the amount of the caps because they lowered them further. I said that to somebody at the DWP and they said jokingly (I think) that I made a mistake by not having kids, because I would be getting a lot more money if I had.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ THAT STATISTIC IS A LOT HIGHER!!! I used to work for a team that deals with learning disability getting them PIP and housing support. I worked alongside a team that dealt with immigrants the amount of times that they are getting not just universal credit but full full PIP and housing yet 80% of people with learning disability in this country do not have support and cannot get housing. What about ours? They deserve the life that we paid for for our children

I have never heard of the 3 year rule, be careful with what you believe I was lied to last time. I remember having shared residency with my two boys, became unemployed through ill health, (quite well paid job before) tried for over a yr to get benefits. Got a charity involved to help me to no avail. I applied for housing and was shown a list by the local council, the list showed that mothers and asylum seekers were priority, I would be considered a single male, and my two children should go back to living with their mother full time (in violation of the court residency order) and I should go lodge with friends. I won't say how much, but I utterly despise the civil service in this country,
So many asylum seekers are single males, I get prioritising mothers with children, but it sounds like fathers with children whose children live with them part time, should be a higher priority than single male. And why do asylum seekers who are single males get priority above you, a father who has his kids part time?
@maximuspennyweather I didn't and don't have time to go into all the details, typical nasty, vindictive psychology to assume and fabricate the extreme negative... Is this a pattern in life? I've got to disagree on "Stop all immigration". I think it should be controlled more tightly and the numbers should be MUCH smaller. The £10M (or £19M from the comment) are two separate things. (See my asylum comment below) An immigrant (mostly economic) should have no access to public funds (beyond NHS, and that's probably a separate debate, I'll make this point, if someone is working and paying taxes shouldn't they get the same access to health care?). The other tightening up aspects are minimum wage eh £30k, £40k etc under which you simply can't. Also if it's for a job opening then the business sponsoring should be paying ABOVE market rates for the role, not using sponsorship to go below market rates for a role The elephant in the room is when people come and claim asylum. Instead of being held until their claim is decided they are given the red carpet treatment
@@DontScareTheFish There should be a temporary complete halt, on all inward immigration, till this is all sorted, then a controlled (with actual controls, not just MPs words) policy should be implemented.

The statistics presented by Black Belt Barrister are misrepresented, significantly, Refugees and those given Humanitarian Protection, and Ukrainians, are exempt from Universal Credit Habitual Residence Test: "You are exempt from the Habitual Residence Test for means-tested benefits if: You are a refugee or have humanitarian protection. You lived in Ukraine until the end of 2021 and left in connection with the Russian invasion in February 2022, and you have leave to remain in the UK or you are British or Irish." The majority of the figures cited are some of the 3.5 million EU citizens in the UK who had to get their status sorted after Brexit; they were allowed to stay as part of the EU Settlement Scheme see: Apply to the EU Settlement Scheme (settled and pre-settled status). This is why there was a big rise in people who did the Universal Credit Habitual Residence Test after Brexit.

She is having tremendous difficulty getting any financial help for her degenerative disability and still has to struggle to work every day to pay her bills. Sorry to be a tad crude, but it boils my piss when people arrive here and get benefits straight away, having never paid into the system.
It's an awful situation that your sister is in. But it's just not true that migrants have access to benefits immediately, and those whose asylum status is pending have no recourse to public funds. That doesn't help your sister, but neither does apportioning blame where it doesn't belong. What might help is a campaign on a political level to raise the level of benefits for those who need them, paid for by the kind of progressive taxation that the Tories were unwilling to even consider, with labour now following suit. It might interest you to know that adult disability payment is a devolved benefit in Scotland, which is administered in a very fair and humane way with an emphasis placed upon trust and not suspicion. So perhaps campaigning for a change in how PIP in England is handled and how claimants of it are treated throughout the application process might also help. Good luck ❤

Is that a disability review? DWP used to handle those in-house, but the job was outsourced and the company who won quickly realised the government was financially stupid. I’m sure many incompetent-seeming 3rd parties (did you know, DWP has to take the blame for them?) are extracting the urine and quite a sum.

I'm white British male and 65. From what I can tell I am not entitled to anything. The NHS just laughs at me and has done for 30 years. When after many years they finally operated on the lump on my spine they had me infected for 3 months because of what they did. I was black balled by the BBC that made it more or less impossible to get another job and I had to work self employed. Everything is skewed toward people who have never paid tax and yet now I no longer earn enough to pay tax and having not done a tax return for 2 years my wonderful government just wants to fine me for money I don't have. I hate this country.

Fun facts - It was the Tories that brought in universal credit that allows the system to be abused at such a scale and it was the Tories that brought in the laws all your rioters were recently prosecuted under because right-wingers thought 'summat should be done about them BLM/antifa lot' in 2016. I'm 65, retired in 2012, took severance and a small pension. Paid off my debt, mortgage and lived off approx £650 a month pension with my wife and what was left of my lump sum, all after raising 4 kids. I intended to get a part time job but due to personal circumstances it wasn't possible. Became a widower in 2015 due to cancer and have lived a pretty frugal life since. In 2024 my pension is now £750 a month, I have next to no savings and my health doesn't allow me to work... even if I wanted to. I claim no benefits, the only thing I claimed was heating allowance which the current government has taken away. I have applied online and get told I'm not due anything. Maybe I should just say I didn't pay tax and NI all my working life and I'd get some help?

I lost my job due to impact of Covid and had to go self-employed as a poorly paid labourer. Sadly, a few months later, my boss had to close the business because of Covid rules. Before this, I had been employed since I was 16, paying taxes and national insurance for 14 years, and I don’t think I was a burden on society. I called the right helplines and was told I hadn’t been self-employed long enough and my situation wasn’t serious enough for anything more than the pittance of Job seekers allowance. Meanwhile, I see people around me getting 80% of their wages to stay home for two years, and I know others who have never contributed to the system, but are still getting benefits. There are also self-employed people and companies finding ways to fiddle the books to get grants and support. YET MY SITUATION WAS NOT SERIOUS ENOUGH. Luckily, I found a stable job towards the end of Covid. I feel terrible for those who suffered and were let down by the government, which seems to prefer helping those who don’t need it or don’t deserve benefits.
Starmer took the govt to court several years ago and it became law that asylum seekers receive benefits etc. so we now can't refuse to give them benefits and housing.

It's staggering how LOW the payments are for some, As single, living alone, unemployed UK National male, who has worked for 30 years in the UK, paying National Insurance & income tax, I was getting £89 per week (£385.66 per month) in 2023. You are expected to have a mobile phone (at your own cost) to log into the online method of claiming & proving you are looking for work (a min of 36 hours a week) via text verification. You are expected to have internet (if you do not you are told to go to your local library, my Village library is open 2 days a week & you are expected to log daily). Add to this costs for travel for job interviews (who rarely even let you know if you were unsuccessful) , food, the highest energy bills in the world, water and the basic outgoings exceeded the "benefit". Others who often have not contributed seem to get much more.
Thank you for bringing this up, Daniel, as the general British public have NO CLUE WHATSOEVER what those of us who are LEGAL immigrants to this country have had to go through, and how we continue to feel as all immigrants these days are despised by certain sectors of the community. When the home office finally agreed that the marriage was genuine (they also had a baby by then) she was told she should relinquish her Australian citizenship. She refused not only for herself but also for her children’s sake.
My son in law had to prove all these things and was told no recourse to benefits for 5 years, yet you can come on a boat illegally and get to stay. This is why there is no money, and there are costs of housing , medical stuff, etc. How long before they give anything back to the country

Thanks BBB this was very interesting. I think this is the crux of the illegal immigration issue. Hopefully your wife will agree that we are not a racist country and the big issues we have are not the ethnicity of someone but rather we don't have the infrastructure to support our indigenous population without adding to it.
It's the same here in Ireland people come in claiming everything but with zero contributions back to the government. No wonder the system is struggling to support everyone.
I have gone through each visa by hiring an immigration lawyer. Even with having a lawyer, every visa is quite expensive and requires hard work. Most people coming here are economic migrants, not refugees! This makes my blood boil.

The way benefits work is most of that universal credit money goes to private landlords or your social housing and energy fuel payments -i It's not an accident they are doing this its specifically intended, any excuse to key money and funnel it to the top and when everyone complains about there standing of living, Oh er the economy is bad your not working hard enough, er oh immigration. yeah you need to go ask them.
I was forced out of work and onto Universal Credit by the DWP, it took them 2 years and an impending HMCTS Appeal date to finally offer to sort it out, and even then it was only a false offer made in an attempt to blackmail me into cancelling the appeal. Every negative thing I've ever heard from "whistleblowers" about the DWP is denied by the DWP but later turns out to be true.
I was homeless for a period when I was 16/17 and the council/DSS were not interested. No help for me, why for these people?

What about ours? They deserve the life that we paid for for our children

@@HillbillyYEEHAA even when you get it they make you reapply every few years. So then I go to the tribunal which can take up to a year for your hearing and I win everytime. They know my condition is degenerative but everytime the same circus. I have never heard of the 3 year rule, be careful with what you believe I was lied to last time. I had phoned and asked if I needed to send all the medical evidence I had previously supplied and was told no. During the appeal process I was informed that was not true. I put in my tribunal that I felt I had been lied to and they put in a lot of legal jargon about how I was dealt with lawfully etc... You will also be surprised with how they twist words, I told them I had been going for short walks in a local playground, in the tribunal they changed that to I walked around a park which infers something a lot bigger. So I had to tell the tribunal about that.

I've got to disagree on "Stop all immigration". I think it should be controlled more tightly and the numbers should be MUCH smaller.
The £10M (or £19M from the comment) are two separate things. (See my asylum comment below)
An immigrant (mostly economic) should have no access to public funds (beyond NHS, and that's probably a separate debate, I'll make this point, if someone is working and paying taxes shouldn't they get the same access to health care?). in my opinion all statistics and figures should be published if it uses tax payers money, i want to live in a country where we have full transparency
The statistics presented by Black Belt Barrister are misrepresented, significantly, Refugees and those given Humanitarian Protection, and Ukrainians, are exempt from Universal Credit Habitual Residence Test:
"You are exempt from the Habitual Residence Test for means-tested benefits if: You are a refugee or have humanitarian protection. You lived in Ukraine until the end of 2021 and left in connection with the Russian invasion in February 2022, and you have leave to remain in the UK or you are British or Irish."
The majority of the figures cited are some of the 3.5 million EU citizens in the UK who had to get their status sorted after Brexit; they were allowed to stay as part of the EU Settlement Scheme see: Apply to the EU Settlement Scheme (settled and pre-settled status). This is why there was a big rise in people who did the Universal Credit Habitual Residence Test after Brexit.
Remember the saying, “There are lies, damned lies and statistics”!
Or as Stalin put it, “The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of a million is purely a statistic”!
Guess you want their names as well so they can be targeted and removed from society.
Full transparency at this point would possibly trigger a revolution.

what they're doing to the country is deliberate, their only incompetence is in carrying out their mission
My sister, who is 61, and would have been drawing a state pension a few years back, was diagnosed with MS in 2021.

I saw a comment from another about how bitter they feel from knowing about these handouts.
I too, am very angry.
They don’t care a stuff.
ECHR should foot the bill for this, not British Taxpayers.
What? How can the European Convention on Human rights foot the bill?
Until there isn't a single homeless person on our streets, or a single struggling pensioner, not a single penny should go to foreign nationals or foreign countries. Not a penny.
Well said.
Of course, the money received by foreign nationals in the UK or foreign countries is the cause of there being homelessness and poverty. Didn't your mother teach you that two wrongs don't make a right.
So claimed "full time mums" with kids in full time education need addressing too. Wombs should not be tickets to a lifetime of welfare funded shameless idlness.
Really? And where do you gullible clowns THINK Britain's wealth came from in the first instance? Our gold mines?, No, we didn't have any gold mines. Our silver mines?, No, we didn't have any silver mines. Our diamond mines?, No, we didn't have any diamond mines. BUT, lot's of other countries did, SO, we just STOLE theirs. We stole the wealth of about 169 countries and now KARMA is paying us a visit and Surprise Surprise, the British don't like it, so boo hoo hoo, suck it up, what goes around, comes around!
@DEMONIKMINION Yeah I agree it is a joke.
This is why are taxes are going up, why are we being treated like third class citizens in our own country. Its got so bad all the locals are boycotting helping out at the local schools christmas fair. Everybody knows most are on some form of benefit and somehow are getting all the local social housing. Nobody is intergrating together and each nationality are staying in there seperate groups at drop off and pick up. So sad to see this happen.
"Our taxes", not "are taxes", I agree though, just being helpful.
Also, "their" separate groups, not "there" separate groups. I'm being helpful too.
shame you cant invite them all in to a festive event to get to know them all then integration might go smoother and break down the separation line a bit with any luck. Perhaps start by just befriending one or two and go from there.

Yet our veterans are in the streets and pensioner will suffer again this winter. I'm totally disgusted at the government.

They sanctioned me for disability for a month for missing a phone call...when I was in hospital!
But had you tried to get ahold of the dwp
@@ravens-crypt yeah I sent them a messege on the journal on their site. They said they have emailed the higher ups to make a decision but thats no help to me and it's been a stress having no income for a month
They took a chunk of my Dads pension off him when he was in hospital. Said he did not need it if he was in hospital
@@thetruth9210 yes, unfortunately they are their rules, but your Dad will still have had to have paid bills connected with his home/ living when he was in hospital. Black and white thinking.
@@Raven4508 my Dad was OK anyway but others would not be. My Dad was a cliche. Fought in the war, had his house bombed by the Germans, worked all his life and never claimed anything from the government. Was never ill so didn't use the NHS and when he finally needed something at 79 ie decent health care he was treated like sxxt by the NHS and the government robbed a chunk of his pension
This is over 20 years ago and its not got better.
Also I just realised around this time even then we were bringing in thousand's of asylum seekers giving them houses and money to spend back then.
Absolutely insane.
This is an absolute slap in the face to all the genuinely disabled people who are hounded relentlessly by the DWP. The fact that they could potentially be handing out checks to foreign nationals is a complete disgrace.
I think it was as far back as ‘93. Starmer has been doing his best to undermine this country for a few decades already - and the establishment love Sir Kier for it!
Thank you for this information and thanks to the whistleblower.
Thank you for bringing this up, Daniel, as the general British public have NO CLUE WHATSOEVER what those of us who are LEGAL immigrants to this country have had to go through, and how we continue to feel as all immigrants these days are despised by certain sectors of the community.
As a single person, who travelled alone to the UK over 2 decades ago ~ from a Commonwealth country and on an Ancestral Visa ~ to make a better life for myself, I've been to hell and back, for many reasons ~ which I wont go into on a public forum but would share privately ~ and still battle in various ways to this day.
I can totally identify with the kind of experiences you and your wife went through in order for her to get ILR!! The cost ~ mentally, physically and financially ~ has been very heavy to bear, and to this day I am unable to obtain citizenship because of the many £££ thousands this final step would cost, something i absolutely cannot afford 😢
Go home then...
Some friends of mine had the same rigmarole as you. She is Australian and was interviewed many times and as you say sheafs of paper were required to be produced.
14 years of Tory stupidity lead to this, especially their brexit.

Unbelievable.. no wonder we are so angry about what is happening to our country…!!
Thank you so much for your work, we really enjoy your straight forward talking,

Thanks BBB this was very interesting. I think this is the crux of the illegal immigration issue. Hopefully your wife will agree that we are not a racist country and the big issues we have are not the ethnicity of someone but rather we don't have the infrastructure to support our indigenous population without adding to it.
Me too, my wife is Chinese and we went through exactly as said!
No id no entry.
Unfair on our population who need skilled workers.
this is the death of the welfare state and i dont think the NHS will live to see 100. makes me very sad.
Welfare need to end anyway. Problem is you also need to get rid of 95%of the government and cut taxes down to a fraction, which is the hard part (government never likes to cede power).

The British public should know what taxpayers money is being spent on.
Maybe if we had access to the Gov central bank account we would see exactly where the money is going and they have the odasity to demand claimaints bank details to snoop around their accounts.
And there's more! I live in a Mansion flat in the heart of Kensington, owned and built by Kensington Council in 1877 and considered a very a desirable address. The flat next to mine became vacant, first it was decorated throughout and a new kitchen was installed, then quality carpets fitted, blinds and curtains, light fittings and furnishings, lastly kitchen white goods delivered and installed followed by young Muhammad. I don't have any animosity towards Muhammad, after all I don't know his history or whether it's even genuine, but he must now believe in Father Christmas!
I'm an unemployed mother my teenage child has ASD and ADHD, we live in a 1 bed private rent, its moldy and very cold it has single glazed windows that that are almost 100 years old, we often get leaks in the celing when it rains, the landlord wants to put the rent up to the maximum LHA for the area, I've been told by the job centre I can't do anything about it until it goes up, he gave me a 4 months warning as he is meant to by law but whats the point in that when the DWP will not tell me if they will or will not pay that amount until its due. years ago I tried to get on the housing list and was told to get stuffed, low priority.

I am 55 and have had serious mental health my whole life. I have always forced myself to work part time even though I could of probably got benefits. I didn't want to be a drain on the state. However, I am now changing my mind. The government gives my taxes away to every Tom, Dick and Mohammed so I am seriously considering joining them. Why should I struggle on whilst others get everything?

Correction, DWP has announced from 2025 retirement age is 67. !
They will never tell the public the truth. They know full well it would be disastrous for them if it got out how much money is being looted by people who have contributed nothing to the country, and in many cases have no intentions of doing so. No illegal migrant should receive any financial payments. Except for the airfare back home.
This is completely unacceptable.
We need drastic change in this country.
Revolution.
I was forced out of work and onto Universal Credit by the DWP, it took them 2 years and an impending HMCTS Appeal date to finally offer to sort it out, and even then it was only a false offer made in an attempt to blackmail me into cancelling the appeal. Luckily I saw through the facade, took it to Appeal and had HMCTS force them to follow through. Every negative thing I've ever heard from "whistleblowers" about the DWP is denied by the DWP but later turns out to be true. The reason nothing ever gets done is because they target the poorest members of society, those who don't have the time, energy, or financial resources to fight back.
