There’s an unspoken bond when someone truly appreciates a musical work as deeply as others do. Many people “like” certain songs superficially, but when a fellow music lover with an artful ear obviously appreciates every subtle nuance as much as the whole piece, the reaction is just as overwhelming to all of us. Your reaction, Bman, is humbling, moving, poignant, and infectious. What an uplifting video to watch anytime I’m feeling down. Thanks.
I can remember my brother coming home from the Record Exchange and turning his stereo all the way up to play his new record while I was trying to watch TV. I was so angry that I was going to try to forcibly turn it down, but as I was walking towards the stereo, I started realizing that the song playing was the most beautiful thing I ever heard. I Sat down and experienced the rest of the song, when it was over, I sat there in a daze. Somehow my father had come in the room unnoticed, he also intended on turning it down, but when I came to my senses he was sitting right next to me looking just as perplexed as I was by what we had just heard.. That song was BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY!l
There are several "reaction to bohemian rhapsody" vids. In all I saw, the people are amazed how good it sounds. That only confirmes how great a piece of music this is.
Your reaction is as rare and wonderful as the music. Let me explain how great your video is, how far back second place is, and why it is such a surprise: 1. You didn’t stop the video. Other reactors stop for parts and miss the whole, moving, breathing creation that Queen gave us. Thank you! 2. Yours was the fourth or fifth Bohemian Rhapsody reaction video I saw. I bet it was the same for most of your other viewers. If your initials are E.B., you are a dapper college student in Lagos, Nigeria. So the UA-cam computer thought we might be too foreign (and many of us too old) to like, comment or subscribe. Your competitors are in Europe and the US, where the social media connections are thick and strong. The old, white foreigners hope that the music of our youth can still stir young souls. And we see encouraging signs for a few videos. But then we see - 3. YOUR FACE! All that emotion from Mercury’s voice and May’s guitar was written all over your face, your posture, your breathing! I’ve never seen anyone as moved by it as you were. You were barely holding on because you were processing volumes more than anyone else. You were hearing a whole new genre played at the highest level. It other reaction videos the UA-camr is a surprised and pleasantly confused listener. You were a fully immersed participant, riding the monster wave exactly as Freddie Mercury wanted. And speaking of Mr. Mercury, did you know that - 4. Freddie Mercury is from Africa. He was born Farokh Bulsara in Zanzibar, just off the coast of Tanzania. Yes, that is the other side of a huge continent from you, but that just makes our story more far-flung and unlikely. And of course rock music is a great grandchild of your shores. Nobody knows why the English are so good at it. 5. So we happily drape the gold medal around your neck because no other human has run such a complete marathon in five minutes fifty-five seconds. The second place reactor is still miles from the stadium. I don't think he is going to finish. If I were a little closer than California I would buy you a beer and ask about your studies, how you listen to music in languages you don't speak (Arabic, Mandarin, Thai, Portuguese) and how everything is communication. I'd ask about the structure of your videos, about race and the imaginary thief. And when the pints were gone I'd shake your hand and say that I saw Queen in 1978, but I'm not going to tell you about it because you know Queen better than I do in the only way that matters. On behalf of thousands, it was a pleasure to meet you. All the best - Peter
Most reactors stop their videos because leaving a song to play all the way through puts the video at risk of suspension. If you break the song up, the algorithm isn't as likely to pick it up as a copyright violation.
Thank you for putting it so well. I saw them in 1981 . I agree , this young man got it better than we did, though I always tear up when I hear this song. R,I,P, Freddie , and a shout out to Remi for portraying him so well.
Peter Barnes what a fine why to express the way I felt watching this young man. I too was of the Queen era, in high school Queen was every where and we loved it.
I don’t know what this is but you spent way too much time on this comment. First of all, this guy is a liar an pretends to listen to it for the first time, along with all the other reaction videos you saw. Second of all, his reaction isn’t so special, it isn’t a piece of art as if he were Picasso. This video was boring to me, too
Where have I been?!!....EXACTLY!!! Welcome to Music young man! Freddie Mercury, the guy who never had to mike drop because he OWNED the mike, the stand and the audience! QUEEN FOREVER. RIP Freddie ❤
Thank you for NOT interrupting the song ( like so many other reaction videos ) ......the look on your face was truly awesome as you watched this with the emotion and comprehending the song as it moved through different phase
Just before the operatic section, as Brian was finishing his solo, he the expression on his face was one of amazement, as he said "yo". I think he thought it was over. I was thinking "wait dude, that's just act 1. Now it gets really good".... Lol
The very best thing about these reactions to _Bohemian Rhapsody_ is seeing people freak out at that sudden LEFT TURN into the operatic section. I never get tired of it! :D
I can't remember my reaction although I remember seeing it well. It was on every week as they used to play the number one song on the charts at the end of every show. It was late November of 1975 on Top Of The Pops and I was only 10.
His was the reaction of a man who’s just had his reality expanded forever. The bar is now raised to an unattainable height and he will never hear music the same again. Wow!
My first question was he's got a British(?) accent yet he's never heard of Queen? I think this is only about the third or fourth time he's even watched a t.v.
A Masterpiece!!, this song will never be duplicated, the music arrangements are unbelievable. I was in high school when this song embraced us and today in 2019 it continues to be a classic.
I was also in high school when this song was released, I loved it then& still loving it & all of Queen's music today! R.I.P. Freddie Mercury, Gpd Bless You & thank you for sharing your gift with the world.
The only group I’ve seen do a great version was Panic at the Disco when they did it live you can view the video on UA-cam. He is one of the only singers who can get close to matching Freddie’s vocals
My friend This is still my #1 reaction for 2019 Genuine, sincere, respectful, I think everyone felt like they lost their Queen with you (again). Thanks man!
A true reaction dude was froze aren't you suppose to pause the video like 50 times lol....his ears wouldn't let him!!!! You could see the emotions as the song went on how he rode the Queen train of holy moly!!!! Loved it
Same here, I'm 58 yrs. old and it still makes me cry, don't know why but it does. Since the first time I heard this song (back in the mid 1970's) on the radio I became addicted to the song and to Queen.
@@fierrote Me too. Except I'm 68!! And only "discovered" Queen a few yrs ago. This man's reaction was mine as well when I first laid eyes on Freddie Mercury. I love seeing people discover Queen for the first time - they love Freddie's voice - then they discover that Roger and Brian also could have been lead singers in any other group - magical to see someone find them and enjoy them so much!
Bman the fact that you were speechless over what you just heard and saw is the biggest compliment to Freddie Mercury and queen. Their music was on an entirely different level then everything else and it still is. I just found your Channel today and this is the first video I watched of your reaction and I'm already subscribing. Don't stop what you're doing and keep loving music Don't Stop
@BMAN That IS music !!! That is why oldies like me (I have been a great fan of Queen since 1974) say that today's music cannot in any way compare with what was being made in the 1970's and 80's. But you are lucky - you have now discovered Queen ! Have fun listening to more !❤
BMan, your expressions are so precious. Love and continued hearing more Queen. Reading the lyrics is very revealing. Originally the radios in UK said this song was too long, Freddie went to the stations and charmed the DJ’s into playing BH. The BH video was made solely by the band with some lights and a small stage. Being well into my 60’s I get try joy from watching the younger generations watch and listen. Practically every song they wrote is a hit. What a beautiful journey you stepped into. Good luck and God bless.
Definitely a must watch . Wish I had the chance to see them perform while Freddie was still alive. I’m from philly burbs and wish I had been at live aid watching that on the big screen and singing with everyone They’re actually on tour in my town tonight with Adam Lambert and I love him too,but sadly tix were way too much. Obviously not the same but I’m sure still a great show. .im 43 but it’s actually my daughter who has been the bigger Queen/Freddie fanatic and admit she got me listening again. What great music but live aid just gives me goosebumps, both in the movie and the actual concert footage . Definitely love seeing younger people appreciate truly good music

Late to the party but I had to pass on a heart-felt thanks to you for uploading this video: The look on your face and reaction made me so happy - as a 50-something Brit I'm so familiar with Queen it's hard to appreciate how utterly amazing this song is. best way to listen to Bohemian Rhapsody is lying on the floor with headphones on and your eyes closed, preferably played on vinyl. then when the song ends just continue laying there for 5 mins thinking about what you just heard, and repeat.
@@cbass6774 You are either using a very dirty or worn out record, a very worn out stylus, or the turntable is really bad or not properly positioned. Or all combined. A clean record on a decent turntable is not torture, unless the music itself is torture.
....but if it were vinyl "god save the queen" would start playing so you couldn't just lay there to think. That's assuming one can't get a hold of the single which at this point would likely be very difficult.
Agreed! I know most only pause due to copyright issues etc, but UGH it’s like finding a diamond in the rough when you get lucky enough to find an awesome reactor who doesn’t do all that! (Also I love your “where have I been?!” 😂😂💖).
Freddie Mercury would have enjoyed watching your reaction! Now you need to see the movie Bohemian Rhapsody once, twice, one hundred times. . . you'll love it!
I loved the movie when I first saw it, but now I'm not so enamoured of it. The portrayal of Freddie as a self-indulgent guy who showed up late for work and slagged off is completely wrong - he was widely known for his perfectionism and professionalism. I don't care much about the timeline issues, as that always has to be messed with to fit the constraints of film, but I don't know if I can forgive the way the film disrespects him that way.
@im batman Dude! I watched all of their concert (not posibly all) here in youtube. I also read articles about them and, YES!! I'M ONE OF THEIR FAN ALREADY😊
Your reaction says it all!!! Check out their short 20 minute performance at Live Aid 1985. Still regarded as one of Queen’s best live performances of all times
This is probably the best reaction video that I've seen so far. It's perhaps because my reaction to hearing and viewing this video was similar, especially after doing my research about Freddie Mercury and Queen. I find myself wishing that i had existed back when Queen was at it's prime. I am the biggest Freddie Mercury fan, like it's unreal how much i admire him for everything that he was. I am blown away by his talent. Geez i get goosebumps any time i express this. I get extremely sad when i think about how this man died, and wish his life wasn't cut so short. There is great music being made today but nothing is able to move me as much as this. It's just incredible. I also am a big Michael Jackson fan as well. Anyways, i really enjoyed your video. Hope you get a ton more views :)
Wow. I'm so jealous!!!! Imagine having that opportunity to hear that song for the first time in 2019. Man, his mind looked well blown, and no wonder...

I must quote someone from another reaction video...Steven Hatfield said, I hate it when people compare Freddie Mercury to God. I mean, he's great and all, but he's no Freddie Mercury! He said it was an old saying, I've never heard it and I'm 66 but I thought it was perfect.
IT DOESNT COME CLOSR, BECAUSE NO ONE CAN REPLACE FREDDIE, BUT CHECK OUT NEWTON FAULKNER'S ACOUSTIC COVER OF BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, HE DOES THE SONG PROUD. CAPS SO YOU CAN SEE BETTER :)

That was my reaction when I first heard it I was about 14 or 15 I was blown away one of the best songs ever composed
You stolen my shoes
Your reaction is as rare and wonderful as the music. Let me explain how great your video is, how far back second place is, and why it is such a surprise:
But then we see -
3. Mercury, did you know that -
All the best -
Peter
Most reactors stop their videos because leaving a song to play all the way through puts the video at risk of suspension. If you break the song up, the algorithm isn't as likely to pick it up as a copyright violation.
@@Serai3 I had no idea. Thanks for the info!
Best comment
Or he never dropped a mic, because he didn't really need one (such a strong voice) ;) !
Hail freddie
you said it all, Sarah K!!!!
Finest comment ever👏👏
Thank you for NOT interrupting the song ( like so many other reaction videos ) ......the look on your face was truly awesome as you watched this with the emotion and comprehending the song as it moved through different phase
I think seeing your expression in the operatic section was beautiful with wonder. Welcome to the world of QUEEN
Just before the operatic section, as Brian was finishing his solo, he the expression on his face was one of amazement, as he said "yo". I think he thought it was over. I was thinking "wait dude, that's just act 1. Now it gets really good".... Lol
Freddie and the boys would be so happy with this reaction. He actually listened and loved. Welcome to the wonderful world of Queen!!
Best reaction I have ever seen.
:)))))))))
The very best thing about these reactions to _Bohemian Rhapsody_ is seeing people freak out at that sudden LEFT TURN into the operatic section. I never get tired of it! :D
"Where have i been?" Mozart said the same thing when he first heard it as well
You've been born, at that time. You are born again now, my friend.
Your reaction is most people's reaction hearing it for the first time.
OMG What did I just listen to?????
It's transcendent.
Or second reaction, as for a lot of people, like myself, we were too busy laughing at it the first time we heard it at the start of wayne's world :P
I can't remember my reaction although I remember seeing it well. It was on every week as they used to play the number one song on the charts at the end of every show. It was late November of 1975 on Top Of The Pops and I was only 10.
it happened to me 30 years ago.
His was the reaction of a man who’s just had his reality expanded forever. The bar is now raised to an unattainable height and he will never hear music the same again. Wow!
"WHERE HAVE I BEEN?!!" you are young, so you are excused. It's a fantastic song and Freddy Mercury was brilliant.
Kelly Cranford it’s Freddie!
He's young? I'm 14 and I listen to songs older than my parents
@@YourName-lr7pl haha same
My first question was he's got a British(?) accent yet he's never heard of Queen? I think this is only about the third or fourth time he's even watched a t.v.
Kelly Cranford I’m not young and I never heard this song until this year.
As a child of the 70's, I would like to say welcome! You are here now.
Queen produced anthems.
"this.... is.... music...." Couldn't have been worded better.
Watch the LIVE AID concert with QUEEN DOING THIS LIVE blow your mind
My friend
This is still my #1 reaction for 2019
Genuine, sincere, respectful, I think everyone felt like they lost their Queen with you (again). Thanks man!
A true reaction dude was froze aren't you suppose to pause the video like 50 times lol....his ears wouldn't let him!!!! You could see the emotions as the song went on how he rode the Queen train of holy moly!!!! Loved it
I've been watching this Queen video for 44 years and i still cry... perfect.
I saw him do his magic in Queen's Montreal Concert. I could not believe what I was experiencing. It was an epiphany like no other! FREDDIE BLEW ME AWAY!!!!!! I was mesmerized. I was hooked. I AM hooked, obsessed, devoted! I will love, adore, & revere Queen till my dying breath! 😲🕺😎
Yep me too, best band in the world.
@@FREDDIEistheBEST1 , it's because the band was like no other. Very talented musicians to bad the bass player never got over Freddy Mercury death and he became reclusive to the point of ignoring the other members of the band. Queen is touring again, with another vocalist.
I wish I had experienced the joy of music right. I am here stuck to a screen without being able to enjoy a single concert from them because I was born later in a different country.

I still cannot understand how any person on this planet above the age of 20, has not yet heard this song...???
Thanks for a REAL reaction and just not just pausing and commenting for attention.
except it's not REAL, it's just a fake asshole cashing in
Dont people pause a lot to avoid copyright?
Also notice how every reply he makes is a copy paste to his gofundme ... which he already put in the comment section. Lol
because it's a scam! Haha
lol..not really tho
@BMAN
That IS music !!!

Probably the best rock song ever written.
this song is the best SONG ever written.
Not probably, but IS the best I'm my opinion
Not so much rock and roll. It's symphonic, operatic, excellent musicianship, carefully and most beautifully crafted, and performed as art.
Nancy Montgomery correct
Probably? I think not ... I think the best song ever written .... EVER!!!

Same thing I thought when I first heard them. Where have I been?!?!
There was the Beatles, then there was Queen!
Late to the party but I had to pass on a heart-felt thanks to you for uploading this video:
The look on your face and reaction made me so happy - as a 50-something Brit I'm so familiar with Queen it's hard to appreciate how utterly amazing this song is. Thank you again for bringing that sense of amazed wonder back to me. I sincerely hope you continue to dig out these gems for yourself, there's plenty more!

best way to listen to Bohemian Rhapsody is lying on the floor with headphones on and your eyes closed, preferably played on vinyl. then when the song ends just continue laying there for 5 mins thinking about what you just heard, and repeat.
Walley Wallington i was in my bed with my earbuds on the first time i listened to it
Listening to vinyl with headphones is torture
@@cbass6774 You are either using a very dirty or worn out record, a very worn out stylus, or the turntable is really bad or not properly positioned. Or all combined. A clean record on a decent turntable is not torture, unless the music itself is torture.
....but if it were vinyl "god save the queen" would start playing so you couldn't just lay there to think. That's assuming one can't get a hold of the single which at this point would likely be very difficult.
And after that lisen Arcade fire Everyrthing now and Edward Sharpe Dear believer

YES!!!
He first should be more in the real story of queen. But the actors were great and the music in the movie as well of course
@Elm TreeABC it's still a great movie I watched it 100 times
