9 weeks at number 1 in 1975, here in the UK. It also reached number 1 in 1991, when our darling Freddie died, and again number 1 with the release of the Bohemian Rhapsody film release. Over 1 billion views of this iconic video. No one can better Freddie and Queen. He is beyond iconic, calling him a genius or legend doesn’t even scratch the surface tbh.
YEAH, BUT, AS, EVERYBODY, YOU FORGET THE 3 OTHER GUYS! FREDDY WAS ONE OF THE BEAUTIFUL VOICE OF ALL TIME, ONE OF THE BETTER PERFORMER ON STAGE, BUT, WITHOUT THE 3 OTHERS, I WOULD HAVE BEEN..... NOTHING!
@@julienmarquet8612 Yeah since he did a number of solos (including opera), your theory just got blown out the window. And no Queen fan has forgotten Brian May, Roger Taylor and the retired John Deacon. May and Taylor are still touring. For chrissake they are huge stars in Britain and fill every stadium they play anywhere in the world.. Better luck next time, kid, complete miss on this one.
Hey guys, that's how you do a reaction video. Thanks for not stopping music and just softly adding comments. Wish others did it like you. Rock on, Queen is the best.
I was fortunate enough to see Queen several times in the 70's. Incredible concerts. I encourage you to check out Killer Queen, which was their first real radio hit.
I pride myself in watching every reaction to this song ,not all get likes or responses and even fewer get my subscription, you got all 3 ! Thanks for being so mature and try to understand this very complex rock / opra anthem . This is a must watch repetitively. You'll learn to appreciate more every time . No auto tune like today ,just pure talent .
on a side note Doctor Brian May lead guitarist is an Astrophysicist. He just recently completed his PhD and wrote a paper of space dust. He was in University when the band Queen became extremely popular and put his academic career on pause.
Hey my friends. I am new to your channel. I found your channel because you did a QUEEN song. I am a huge QUEEN fan since I was 8 years old when I first heard the song KILLER QUEEN. That was back in 1974. Fell in love with them. I am going to give you a song that the lead singer FREDDIE MERCURY killed with his vocals. It's live at the Wembley concert July 12th 1986. It's called WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER. You will absolutely love it. Welcome to the journey of QUEEN'S greatness, You will learn that they have NO bad songs. I am going to enjoy watching the two of you find out how great QUEEN is. Thank you for doing QUEEN videos. Your friend, QUEEN BEE 🐝🐝🐝🐝
Live Aid will not only blow your mind, it will show you why Freddie and the lads were revered around the world. You will know the songs, you will say "I didn't know that was Queen", and you will realise why it is considered by the majority as the greatest 20 minutes of rock EVER!
You have GOT to see the whole Queen Live Aid set, 1985 at Wembley Stadium. It’s epic! Trust me, Queen fans will definitely stick with you through the whole 22 minutes, so don’t split it up!
I listen to this song nearly every day and have since it dropped somewhere around 1975. I never get tired of it, the writing and arranging is still mind boggling to me. You should react to Queen: White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith for a really amazing listen to Freddie's vocal control and also to an instrumental portion of the song that is absolute perfection by Freddie and Brian that goes on for a minute and forty-five seconds. The entire band is perfection on that song which is why it is my favorite live performance by any band ever. Thank you for reacting to this iconic song. Bohemian Rhapsody will live on and on.
When Queen went into their 4th album "A night at the opera" in 1975, they were still in debt and not making much money or selling a lot of records... but Freddie Mercury was energized w/ grand ideas. He started w/ the piano piece for 'Bohemian rhapsody' but then added more parts to the song... In the studio, he laid down the parts and directed the rest of Queen to put their parts down, then proceeded w/ layers upon layers of vocal tracks and kept adding more parts... the tapes started to wear out while recording, so they had to copy their work on new tape. In the end, 'Bohemian rhapsody' had about 180 overdubs, clocked in at near 6 minutes, and the entire album 'A night at the opera' was one of the most expensive records to date... Queen pushed the for the single on radio, and it finally hit #1 and the album exploded in popularity worldwide. By 1976, Queen was headlining arenas on tour and all 4 Queen albums were in the charts.
@@jpw6893 A lot of bands had similar situations... Black Sabbath, Deep Purple... they were selling records in the early 70's, but making no money cos of unfair contracts. Thankfully, Queen got new managers and sorted out their money issues by 1977...
He is the epitome of humble. A BEAUTIFUL man to behold...On the outside, he is loved for his looks and fame...On the inside, his heart and compassion compare to no other. His beauty cannot be mimicked or stolen. He doesn't even know the legend that he is- that's what makes him extraordinary
Always good to see young people react to queen you have so many amazing songs to look forward to so many different music genres queen could do anything sending new year greetings from England x x
I love watching people experience this song for the first time almost as much as I love the song itself :) My recommendation for Queen is "We Are the Champions".
Your next reaction to Queen should be "Love Of My Life" from Wembley Stadium, 1986! A totally different side of the band showcasing Freddie's amazing control of his audience! Cheers,
There are so many great Queen Songs and, Freddie songs! Check out "Show Must Go On" which, Freddie did in one take when he was very ill. "In My Defense", "Spread Your Wings", "Time", the recently released song. And, so many more!! R.I.P. Freddie, we still love you!!
QUEEN is G.O.A.T, I grew up listening to all genre of music, I have to say QUEEN is one of my all-time favorites. Bismillah is shortened from Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim, from Arabic, means in the name of God, the merciful and compassionate.
Check out Def Leppard, Pour Some Sugar on Me, AC/DC, live at the River Plate. Watch their video of Thunderstruck first, though. And of course, you can't go wrong with any Queen song. Except for Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen is best live. They were a stadium band, the bigger the crowd the better.
Do this Live from Montreal 81. You won't be disappointed. Queen are even better... live! Best live band in history according to myself and many others!!
Y'all did good till the end, It is awesome when Freddie whisper-sings 'any way the wind blows' and then the soft gong. Don't know why reactors don't wait till it's done! Still liked your reaction and subscribed! P. S. Freddie owned the stage!
You should react to Queen Live aid full concert 1986, and I promise you, you'll be amazed! 😀 And react to "Who wants to live forever" and "Killer Queen" by Queen 😀 And welcome to another level in iconic and legendary music history 😀
If there was ever a poll to name the greatest pop/rock songs ever written, this immortal hit would DEFINITELY be in the top 5… Top 3 at best ☝️😄👍. There’s a very unique version of this hit performed by a group called 4th Impact, a group of 4 sisters from The Phillipines who absolutely slay & slam dunk it 🔥🔥🔥.Well worth a look if you’re interested 👍😄. Coming along with you on the ride with Queen. Great Channel and great reactions. Don't Stop Me Now, (official video) would be a great choice for your next reaction.
I think you should do; Another one bites the dust, One Vision and the last one love of my life the live one in Montreal. Freddie Mercury wrote that song for the woman he was going to marry name Mary before he came out to her. She never left his side and when he passed away she told his body somewhere that only she knows where’s he is

Great reaction you have to check out Pentatonix cover of this song you will be amazed. They are a Acapella group that do all the sounds with their voices
They are riding a great band's coattails to get a hit. They have very good voices but no feeling for the song. Smiling while tragic lyrics are sung. Ugh!
Great reaction, thanks! Queen had several iconic must see videos, this being one of them but it is their live performances that really set them apart from the rest. Try Under Pressure live at Wembley 1986 or for hard rock, try Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow 1974. Queen does nearly every genre...they can do it all!
Freddie was working on 3 songs when he had the genius inspiration to combine them into this one magnificent song. You cut it off a few seconds too early and missed the giant cymbal crash at the end!
Always pays to read up on these older bands, their histories and genesis's are fascinating..... you've got lots of things to discover besides Queen.... there's Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, YES, Pink Floyd, Genesis, ELP ... to name a few.
First time I heard this I was 12, I had never heard anything like it, my friend bought the record and I couldn't believe how off-the-wall it was compared to what was out there at the time. We had many great artists but only Bowie was as inventive.
