Note that Fast GI Approximation is a purely UI change. Threshold is a rename of Max Roughness, and turning Fast GI Approximation off is exactly the same as setting Max Roughness (now Threshold) to 1.0. This change was mainly made so it's more clear how it works.

Eevee has come a long way... My request to blender devs regarding eevee next as of.. 1. We need Nishita sky texture in eevee.. 2. Make Eevee fast again...
I hope so. Everything done in Blender would be AMAZING since you have more control over the keymap as well, enabling someone to create a better looking SFM in Blender.
Iam using blender 4.3 alpha and i cant find light linking or shading tab in visibility menu for Eevee , its only available in cycles right not , should i get 4.2?
Hello can you make a video about how to use Light Group passes with other AOV for CG rebuild in comp? All the videos about light group doesn't show how to combine with AOV at all.

And that's exactly my problem: Eevee Legacy was a real-time rendering engine. It was great for real time visualisations. Eevee Next is now much slower (until the image stabilises) and it's no longer good enough for real time visualisations. What's the point of bringing Eevee closer and closer to cycles but getting rid of its main strength, its speed. When they reach the look of cycles (and slow it down comparable to cycles) then cycles becomes obsolete. I do love that they invest so much development into Eevee but I hate that they lost sight of Eevee's main strength.

Wow. That's surprising. I use a laptop that has far lower spec compared to urs, but runs faster on Eevee than in Cycle. Maybe you have certain settings on that is causing the lag.
muito bom, desde o remodelamento total da interface na versão 2.8 agora é ver o que tem debaixo do capô, comecei no 3Ds Max e migrei para o Cinema 4D, por economia larguei tudo e fui para o Blender e cada nova versão mais e mais vejo que tomei o caminho certo, ótimo vídeo, parabéns, haaa e ótima animação
I hope they fixed the naming of things for Blender v4.3.1 because these naming conventions are pretty bad if they're that confusing as they are in 4.3.0 b. Great code maintainers for Blender, but terrible at UI/UX side of stuff.

Not really, blender performance sucks with more complex scenes while UE handles them easily.

It work better if you blow up things while you sim then bring it back down.

@@fusion1203 scale things up while you do the cloth sim. bake it and scale back down. its just a technique to help with collisions
