    Having been in the CG Industry for the past 10 years it's very exciting to see really good tools become more accessible. Thanks for not only a clear tutorial but for explaining some basic modeling terminology as well. Great work bringing people into the community!

    That was a really great tutorial video, Erika. You explain everything you're doing very thoroughly, which some other tutors forget, because they're so experienced that they tend neglect the smaller details. I really have learned a lot from you here. I would really like to see you do more Nomad Sculpt projects if you have the time. Many thanks.

    I actually use Nomad to make figures for my 3D printers, the output can be made clean enough that you can bring it straight to the slicer, though I'd recommend reducing polycount so the slicing process doesn't hang.
    This is a lovely tutorial BTW

    This is a good tutorial. One thing worth mentioning is that cube in the upper right corner can be used to move around your model and a double tap on a face, like front for instance, brings you back to the default front view. All other faces work the same way.

    My god. You put so much useful info in that tutorial and you are bringing it in such a natural way. It's like the info is somehow "zipped" with ultra high compression you show different kinds of workflow and techniques that serve well in many kinds of situations. You really know your stuff and you know how to bring it. That's good teaching, you're really good. I've seen my share of tutorials, good and bad, yours are definately top notch! And thanks a lot for sharing.

    My mind was blown at how intuitive and easy to remember the voxel remesh to subtract geometry works. Hiding the layer with the geometry you want to cut from the other geometry selected is genius. I will never forget how to do that. Amazing! I also just want to say that I searched for a long time for a beginners intro to Nomad sculpt and this is by far the best. Thank you so much!

    Oh, this is such a beautiful and easy to understand beginner tutorial. And straight to the point. I tried watching few others before, but most of them started off by presenting the entirety of NoMad Sculpt, which is always a bad approach in my opinion. Once you're at the typology, you've already forgotten all the other stuff they're briefly shown. Your tutorial only shows the most important stuff you should know about at the beginning and then immediately starts presenting other functions and options by creating something. Keep that format up! Again, thank you so much!

    You are a very good teacher. There are so many talented artists out there who think they are also good teachers, but teaching is a entirely different beast that not everyone is good at. I’ve wasted countless hours & money on gumroads, so much crap out there. But this video was really good and pedagogical, clear, to the point and you had a very good plan on what you wanted to teach, which tools you wanted to show that gives the listener a very good basic grasp of nomad to get going. Bravo!

    So I just got a new tablet (galaxy A8, 20 inch) and was looking for blender, saw the nomad app as a recommended, Downloaded it and was at first kinda impressed, I poked at a few things, messed shit up, then continued to play with it. I experimented with the settings and things present in the app and began to get more impressed with the app. As i started watching tutorials like this one, as well others my mind was blown away with how simple it is yet allows you to do so much with the program. It is one of the only apps I have bought and am glad about. I hope to start making custom table top rpg characters for people and be able to sell commissions to people so they can have a perfect, or nearly perfect representation for their character( to often specially with lesser known games, finding a reference pic can be difficult)

    At 14:47 you circled the layer menu at the Top but I had to select the project menu at the top for making shape line rotate to 90. Also I figured out my previous question it was a matter of zooming in on the clay and Re-clicking on the clay closer to the ends of it. Thanks for cool tut.

    Subscribed! -- By far the best video I've found so far to introduce me to Nomad Sculpt. Like others have said, you're very good at explaining all the steps and not going too fast. The only place I got lost was 13:20. When I created the duplicate of the book shape, the gizmo would only let me scale, stretch and squash it, but unless I'm mistaken you seem to be extending the faces to better keep the shape. I couldn't find that option on the gizmo for the duplicated item (unlike for a new primitive) but hope to find that missing piece in another tutorial. Great job!

    • @ErikaCasab
      @ErikaCasab 2 роки тому +1

      Thanks Mike! The only the Gizmo of a primitive give you the option to extend the faces on one side only. On the duplicate shape I can only squash or stretch with scale. I hope this helps clarify. Cheers!

    This is an amazing tutorial video! I love how informative and simple to understand it is :D all I have to do now is put in some practice cuz this is some "tools with tricky terminology and where to find it" situation for me (before actually create something) xD

    Love your videos, so well paced and so many little things Ive struggled to find myself haha. The rotation steps for split and project etc in particular was something I've wanted to do for so long but couldn't find.
