    14:05 For anyone who’s following on a newer version of nomad, I clicked Lock & Radius under sculpt and clicked Sub on the left hand side, then did the same drag from the middle of the hourglass to get the same effect

    I have been struggling with Nomad since downloading it a week ago. I last modeled with 3D Studio Max in 2005! Your video just made all the issues I’m having make so much sense! Can’t wait to watch the rest of your series and see if this very old dog can learn new tricks! 😂

    Excellent video thanks! I really with the was an align tool or auto align center or similar in Nomad. Also a quick “alt/shift” button like adobe illustrator or similar for the smooth or a chosen brush/tool etc.

    Awesome tutorial! Btw "lathe" is pronounced lay-th, I assume it's called that because it creates objects similar to what a wood lathe can make

    For the Lathe tool, clicking on the dot wont add new lines for me... i always have to click IN the line...

    Nomad Sculpt ver 1.76 Hexanomad , I dont have the "Stroke type" to make the hour glass to deflate properly , thank you for the reponse great learning video

    Hi!! With the new Nomad Sculpt ver 1.76, I dont have the "Stroke type" in the "Inflate" tools to click the "Grab- dynamic radius". May I know where can I find it? Thank you so much!!

    Hi, just installed nomad, but my version when I choose multiresolution just gives me 2 choices, the lowest I can got is 6146, any fix?

      Hi! @Emanes32 in the comment found a way to kinda fix it? "sliding into lowest resolution and then tapping Reverse introduces lower resolution sphere, so the slider will have more settings"
      I don't have the same exact settings she uses but i could get in lower resolution with that!

    i have a question! does making the auto save at 5 minutes or lower affect any performance on nomad sculpt? another question, when you exit the app for lets say 4~ minutes and you come back to it, does the app reload and, thus, not saving your progress? (a solution to this would be saving your sculpt before leaving the app but i am a super forgetful person)

      I use Apowermirror to mirror the iPad to my PC and then OBS to record the screen.

    This looks perfect for starting to make 3D models for 3D printing but I just want to know if it crashes often? Because using my iPad not many programs have crashed, but this feels like it would take up a lot of space so I just wanted to know

      Nomad is super stable. I use a first gen iPad Pro (so it's like from 2017ish). If you ever do an operation that might crash it you will usually get warnings.

    Hello Erika. Im having a problem on a tube. I have the tube done and validadted but somehow, the file got corrupted and i need to redo the radius of the tube but i cant figure out how to do it... nothing i select works. Can you or anyone else help me please? Thank you Erika and everyone

    20:59 it’s not mirroring on the middle for me. It’s always inside itself. Anyone know why it could be happening?

      You can select the Mirror group in the Scene menu and drag it where you need it.

    Flatten appears to raise the entire surface almost like it's pulling it up. How is it being done where it actually flattens the surface?

      On the side buttons (under the intensity/size sliders) tap on Sub that will reverse the operation pushing down. All tools can be reversed with the same button

      I think it could be! But you may find TinkerCad more useful for that. It is completely free too!

      Cookie cutters sounds like a very sharp, rigid object that something like Blender might be better suited for - however I am sure it’s possible in this software as well. I may just say that because I have used Blender much more and could see it being done in there quite easily.

      Hey Bassam, thanks a lot! Animation cannot be done in an iPad yet, your best bet is to learn Blender. It's a very complex software but it can do anything!
      PS my great grand father was from Iraq!

    Dear Erika.
    Arent You forgetting to make the Splines round at the ends?
    Ps. I have made my first humble model of candle and wax made from 5 objects. I needed to make high topology for nice brushing the wax.
    Unfortunately I need to render each object separatedly, because it crashes when I do 3000x3000 transparent render in PBR with golden full metal material. I tried 2000x2000 too...the same...crashes. i do have alot of space and very fast Android phone, so its not the phone.
    Do You know any way to stop Nomad from crashing?

      The performance of Nomad has to do with the devices RAM. I'd suggest to decimate your model to optimize the poly count while maintaining the shapes. You can do this on the Topology menu under the Decimation tab. Try reducing by 25% increments and test the render

      @@kyliedesire7425 it could be helpful but you might lose details in the process. Decimate will make sure your shapes are preserved reducing polycount were it is not needed and keeping it where details are. Voxel will give you a uniform resolution

      You can design your models and then 3d print them, that’s how I’m gonna use this app

      They can also be used for video games, 3D animations, 3D architectural renders, product renders, etc. etc.
