"We were really angry and decided to write a song about it"
The beginning of every great punk band.
@Kyle really lol? Do tell I haven't heard anything about that.
@Kyle WOW, just read about them and they seem to already have an in, in the business.
@Kyle Now I have so many questions! 😂
Was he responsible for the viral video? Or is it just that kids are sick of current music?
Is he just good at trends and knows it's time for a paradigm shift in music? Did they write it? Is the story true?
So. Many. Questions.
Punk? They are siding with corporations and the government lmao you boomers are so silly
@Kyle yep. Sounds like the music industry. Never looses it's sleeze factor.
the sound engineer should be fired and they should hire the sound engineer from the library
Exactly!!! Also the microphone sounds low
@@Mistydawn1 yah that mix was terrible.. like did they not even do a sound check?! maybe Kimmel can hire me to do sound. i do have nearly 25 years of experience.

It's interesting that the sound mix in their library concert is better than in kimmel. This makes me appreciate the sound library's sound engineer 🙏
I am pretty sure that was done by dad Carlos de la Garza.
that was my first thought!
@@bwayne40004 Welp, that explains it!
Yeah when your dad produced your record and engineered the library show you can definitely tell the difference. They sound good on the performance but these late night venues always sound like crap.
@@MrMonikerjay I think so too. Also, a bit of adrenaline for being on national TV might have affects the girls also. But I was worried they'd goof up or something under pressure but it was very good. They are 10, 13, 14 and 16. Remarkable poise.
The Library gives equal access to everyone and a way to display their talents. Worked as a Youth Services Librarian for 37 years!!!!!
La library live yeah!
That I S why libraries are so important
As an atheist, libraries are my cathedrals/churches.
I remember going to shows at a local library in Ventura, it was always all ages and always wild. Even punk legends MDC played to a room of maybe 20 people, sadly they stopped allowing shows due to dumbasses disrespecting the space.

Their drummer is genuinely the most adorable person of all time
YES, and all of them! Love seeing the drummer singing as well.
You're a Dwork!
A drummer who “sings”. Always in awe
Too geek out more on singing drummers try "The Warning" in some way's Mexican older cousins. Perhaps the Narcisista"if you want the only song they do in Spanish. Or for English "YOur Words Mean Nothing"
You can never go wrong with Brutus if you want more bands with drummers who sing!
Anastasia is the drummer and vocalist of Pinky Pinky, definitely my favorite band and really fun to listen to and watch perform! I highly recommend you check them out

@Kyle lol, You're just jealous because these girls have more balls than you ever will. even your name says you are gutless
@Kyle So, Carlos De La Garza is the reason you have no talent?
@Kyle LOL, are you his ex-wife?
@Kyle oh we have a music expert here, let me guess, you know what real punk is, but your afraid to share your music?
Um, Punk was pretty dead in the 80s. Try the 70s.
I guess I never thought about it but there's a very clear marriage between what goes into being a kid and what goes into being a punk rocker. Loud, driven by emotion, not concerned about what other people think. Makes for some of the most authentic old school punk ive heard in a while. Coolest girls in the world!
Punk, real punk, is about being really pissed off. That is why it will never die.

@@nickcarroll5034 how is this woke garbage, these girls are simply singing about their personal experiences? Most punk music claims to be woke, or very heavily left leaning. Maybe you are mistaking the genre for metal?

Industry plants, I knew it. (I'm joking)
meaning they had the means and connections to get their garage band on national tv
So, like many kids, they have grown up around what their parents do and are trying their hands at the family business. Or perhaps because their parents are in the industry they support their daughters' interests, instead of dissuading them due to thinking it's not a 'good career path' . Why are either one of those things an issue?
@@missmjk2010 maybe it doesn't need to be an issue, but it does give considerable perspective to know they're not just a random band out of nowhere. The Beastie Boys have cited Bad Religion as one of their main inspirations as a band, and Daniel Wu (who did the Facebook intro for LLL) has been a 'Friend of Giant Robot' since before he started his HK film career.
Speaking as a former Giant Robot fan, the band name (look up the film, it's great), their sound (first-class), and all this publicity make total sense now. Good on them for doing all of this, but I personally wish they might've turned it into a little more of a teaching session, i.e., talking to their classmate instead of just writing a song slamming him without any further context.
These girls remind me of my little punk rock girl band in the '90s. If they need a back up bassist, I'm available lol

“A part of a healthy conscience is being able to confront consciencelessness. When you teach your daughter, explicitly or by passive rejection, that she must ignore her outrage, that she must be kind and accepting to the point of not defending herself or other people, that she must not rock the boat for any reason, you are NOT strengthening her prosocial sense, you are damaging it--and the first person she will stop protecting is herself.”

This is just a fancy way of saying it's okay to be a bad person. In my experience most women have the emotional intelligence of a child. You can't tell a child it's okay to be emotional because they don't know how to control themselves and will act out. Imagine if every women decided to act like a this and had their ID's have complete control. Society would cease to function. This isn't an excess to treat women badly since everyone deserves respect. It's a simple matter of reality, you shouldn't ignore the truth just because you don't like it.

@@Bocbo LOL, "wah boys," LOLOLOLOLOL, incel for life confirmed.
@@Bocbo That genre was around before you were born. It's always been around in different forms.
@@Bocbo It’s not a ripoff, if you’re simply writing and performing a song within a certain genre. That’s why they are called genres. It doesn’t matter how old that genre is...that’s irrelevant. Classical music has been around for centuries - way longer than punk rock. Similarly, people still compose Classical music till this day. You consider that a rip-off? It is a rip-off if you copy a song that was already written.
Music often has unique traits that identify it within certain genres or characteristics that cross multiple genres (coming from my music theory knowledge). It’s very seldom and rare when a totally new genre is created that didn’t exist before. Plus, I wouldn’t have that expectation from a young band consisting of young teens, and the youngest being only 10.

It doesn't matter if they're really "punk" or not. They don't claim to be. That's just the media. They're just young musicians having fun expressing themselves. They are influenced & inspired by punk music from hearing it from family members & from going to all-ages punk rock benefit shows. I don't think they care at all about being punk or if anyone thinks that they are. It just happens to be one of many kinds of music they listen to. So what if 2 of them has a dad that's a music producer. Good for them that they have a cool dad to teach them about music & help them. They really don't deserve all the criticism & negative comments from the haters & the so called "real punks". Music should not be about genre rules & fitting in to other people's definitions. All music genres should be free for anyone to use to express themselves regardless of how they grow up or if their family members are in the music business.

Getting some serious 80s hardcore vibes from this band. XD à la Suicidal Tendencies. Amazing to see that type of music still kicking.
It never went away. Young people have always played, hard, fast and loud. It was happening in 1945, in 1953, in 1963, in the 70's, 80's, etc. In the 40's & 50's there were no commercial outlets for the music so it was played in garages, houses, after school band rooms, anywhere the musicians could find a place to play.
