Me too. There's a reason that man was knighted! He's a good man. He's a musician, and understands artistry. He hears lyrics and interprets lyrics and understands a song has deeper meaning than the lyrics in it. I love that Elton did that and continues to do that for eminem. It really matters.
the reason em chose elton as his sponsor was because elton had been through it all too with addiction and in my experience, you can't relate to someone who hasn't had an addiction telling you what to do, to not do this drug yet have no idea about *it* and what *it* is like, nevermind have ever felt the drug. It'd be like skydiving for the first time ever but without an instructor who has done it 100's of times and knows if something were to go wrong, knows what to do to try correct it because of their experience. It's another reason why people end up relapsing too. An uneducated mind trying to help someone through a minefield without a minesweeper will lead to the person blowing up.

The parents would blame it on Em and try to sue him instead of being better parents. He means that if those parents would just be better parents and not let their kids do what they wanted to do, and discipline and be in their lives more directly, then everything would be okay. It's not the artists fault that people can't raise their children right. The music isn't made for children. It isnt their fault to police their own craft just because some Jane from Beverly Street can't control their kids and discipline them correctly. Be a better parent, and maybe the child will listen and respect your teachings.
I also think as a parent you could teach your child to understand that art is used to express emotion, thoughts, dreams, nightmares, ideas as well as reveal the era's current events and moods. Pay attention to what he does and not what he says. He makes music. He isn't going to jail for actually committing the violence he professes.

It's not the artists fault that people can't raise their children right. The music isn't made for children.
