  • In this video you will learn how to engrave an image on a Yeti Rambler with an 80w Co2 Laser. Similar lasers will also be able to do this, but with different settings.
Some tips and tricks in this video:
    1. when a rambler/tumbler does not fit on your rotary, use window seal foam to reduce the opening of the mouth of the rambler.
    2. Once you are done engraving, spray the engraving with Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray - This stuff works wonders.
We still use the magic eraser, but just to wash off the dawn powerwash.
If you want to find the products we used in today's video:

Thank you for your videos! They are very helpful and I keep referring back to them. Quick question (2 questions), what size is the worktable on your 80w and I see you have a dedicated button to turn on the rotary feature and your X and Y both work with your rotary plugged in, is this an additional feature when ordering?

Great video, I just purchased an 80 watt red & black laser engraver (looks like yours), what power setting are you using to engrave on the tumbers? I like the cleaning tip. Thanks

Hi Jon, congratulations on your new purchase! You're going to love it. My engrave settings for tumblers are Speed 175, Min 25, Max 25 and Interval is 0.05MM and i typically only do 1 Pass. Sometimes the darker cups may require 2 passes as sometimes 1 pass is not enough. Also, i ALWAYS use absolute, just in case 1 pass is not enough. Happy Engraving :)

why do you need to mirror? I don't understand why the laser would flip text. mine engraves what I see on the screen.

If I leave as is on my screen, it will be flipped. Perhaps we just have a different set up?

My original cnc software mirrors the images by default, which is annoying. Now that I have been using LightBurn it engraves properly. It has to be just a setting on the original (Chinese) software, but I have not been able to locate the spot to have it engrave properly. LightBurn seems to be more user friendly and has been my go to software lately.

@@eigregor83 I’m quite used to the mirror now. Been doing it ever since I started engraving. It’s like second nature now :) I totally agree! Light burn is very user friendly and it just keeps getting better with each new release.

@@kendallcreations6737 i dont use seal to prevent from the Jaws. I found a great Idea in someone elses Video and made me the same Adapters. It has a 50mm round disk, 1 center disc with the outside diameter of my Material and the 3rd Disc with the inner diameter. the 2nd Disc has thin foam on it attached with doublesided Tape.all 3 discs have a 6mm Hole in the center, and i insert a M6 Screw and secure all 3 discs with a Wingnut going toward the inside of my material (Tumbler, glas, mug etc ).
The end with the 50mm disc is being clamped into the Jaws of the rotary, the Material slides over the 3rd Disc (facing toward the thorn for the bottom) to keep it centered perfectly and rests on the 2nd Disc with the foam.
For the Bottom i made me different sized Discs as well with foam, so neiter the Top nor the Bottom will ever get marked up.
I made all my Discs as needed out of 3mm XT Acrylic that i get free as they are scaps from a Window Building company in my Area. You can also use Wood for them as well.
Hope my Adapters are understandable as i explained them above.
      cheers and happy cutting

@@wolfes1126 We have since upgraded from a seal to a new contraption that we made with our 3D printer. It works great! I will post a new video with that.
