    I know the video is a bit old, but the info is still good... I do just want to add that if you've removed the teeth to put the other set in (one set faces in, one set faces out) they might have been put in out of order. Inside the track of the teeth on the side (of most models) is a model SKU and a number (1,2,3). They go in order counter clockwise. =)

      I am new to laser engraving but I've been using scroll chucks in my machine shop for many years, so I can confirm. Always a good idea to mark the jaws and chuck if they aren't clearly marked. I use a battery powered diamond tip engraver tool (like a very low power Dremel, but sized closer to a Sharpie) for this sort of thing. Very handy to have on hand for many such tasks. That way the marks can't get erased.

    Just wondering. How come you're not running at full power and double the speed? Wouldn't that give the roughly the same result? Best regards

    • @kendallcreations6737
      @kendallcreations6737 Рік тому

      It’s recommended you never run a laser at 100% because it will greatly reduce the life of the laser tube. I personally try to cap mine at 80% power But even if we are talking double power but still less than 100%, different power and speed give different results. Sometimes it’s a clean cut, and sometimes it’s less char. I always cut a testing grid on each material to find the optimal settings for ongoing cuts.
