The exaggerated voices are definitely what kept me watching this video
I love how quickly the accusations or sorry, SUGGESTIONS, turned into screaming matches of mainly Jack and Gavin 😆
I was thinking that the whole time how it just increased in flamboyancy of the accents and began that much louder haha.

The fact that the ball bonked her on the nose was great.
I would've loved so much for a meme hitmarker right when it hit her
That was some sovietwomble-level editing right there

Geoff Ramsey: Perhaps a golf game gone wrong pushed him over the edge. Crumbs might not be the only thing in that beard.
Gavin Free: Hooligan. That nose of his presents him with a natural weapon. Perhaps got careless with the spear on his face.
Jack Patillo: A very voracious eater. The victim possibly denied him his taco.
Lindsay Jones: Not the brightest bulb in the bunch (to say the least). May have done it out of...lack of thought.
Jeremy Dooley: Reports say he dabbles in dark magic. His diminutive size also means the victim would not have seen him.
Michael Jones: Veteran warrior. Tearing someone in half is not something new for him.

Why don't they rename the items using an anvil to make things easier for stuff like dice rolls and what the item represent
That would require competency.
Because they wouldn’t stack and the roller wouldn’t work
david taylor they do stack you can name a stack of items so the dropper would work
They dont get a high enough paycheck to do that man 😂 (I'm joking)
That sounds extremely tedious and I doubt they want to put in the effort to name multiple items.
If it weren't for me already knowing how to play Clue this explanation would have had me lost. There's like 8 adults in the room and none of them can control themselves to listen to a few minutes of instructions.

this video made me very happy. it feels so wholesome! the fact that the AH guys tried to understand the game and learn the rules, let alone from matt, is so awesome. and its so refreshing from the usual "learn by doing" or "fuck the rules" and "lets talk over each other because who cares about the game" mentality that AH use to have.
Well when you play a board game you kinda have to know the rules but yeah I get what you're saying mate

Also: I was watching some older Minecraft Let's Plays again, and realized that Gavin mentions how cool it would be to build a mansion and play Clue in Minecraft. It was in Ep. 234 - The World is Lava Part 2. It's cool to see how far ideas stretch and last before completion.
Jeremy: I believe it was Ryan in the Ballroom with a Sword!
Ryan: I can prove you wrong! (shows sword)
Me: Ryan having the sword in no way proves he didn't use it for murder.
At 27:25 when Jack was teleported to Jeremy to disprove his suggestion, and then he got caught in the spider web, did he yell “Gavin?!”? Like Gavin did nothing and he got yelled at 😂
Busts his ass making an incredible, elaborate mansion while skillfully putting together an intricate game and doesn't take two seconds to write down which items represent the rooms and murder weapons in parentheses in the notebook. Matt Bragg, everyone.
And as he's going over what everything is, "You can just remember it." Like, you realize what group of people you're talking to Matt, right? Haha.
I'm just starting the video, but I'm predicting that someone (probably Geoff) is going to make an accusation and look inside the chest, and accidentally say out loud what it is before the game ends.
AdventCloudStrife that is /surprisingly/ specific
I'm gonna say the same thing, but Lindsay, as she did it constantly in Legends of the Hidden Tower
Nope doesnt happen. The ending is good
That being said "Someone" does end up screwing up at the end chest...will not reveal who.
Betting Lindsay yells out "That is incorrect Geoff! It was Jeremy!"
The voices made my day, years later and I still come back just to hear them 😂
Ryan "Learn by doing!" Haywood getting mad at people talking over the directions to ask questions XD
In Destiny he had a gun to shoot with. Fun stuff.
Here he is stuck standing around in a building with nothing to do.
Whoever started screaming at 37:35. I almost crapped my pants with laughter listen to that over and over again.
This is great how they play it up XD
18:06 I love how dramatic and silly everyone got as soon as Ryan started making a suggestion :P
23:40 also killed me
38:33 Gavin figures out how to be god for 2.5 seconds
For 48 minutes I will try to understand how clue works
Each person has 3-4 clues that tell them who/what/where were NOT involved with the murder.
When a person enters a room they can suggest a person, weapon, and a room (the room must be the one they're in). In the turn order, everyone says if they can dispute the claim. For example, if Geoff accuses Jeremy in the Ballroom with a Noose.
If the person whose turn it is after Geoff (let's say Jack for our example) has any one of those clues they show them to Geoff. Even if he has more than one matching clue, he only shows one.
The game continues on like this until someone makes an accusation. An accusation is the same as a suggestion except they can be made anywhere and you can say any room. But unlike a suggestion, nobody disproves you with clues. Matt will tell the accuser if they're right or wrong. If they're right they win. If they lose they're out.
And that's how Clue works.
Edit - Side note, if nobody can dispute your suggestion you do not win. It has to be an accusation to win.
Me too. I’ve never played it myself.
Never have i ever played clue
@@MrDeldris thank you
48 minutes and 50 seconds
I had no idea what was happening the entire episode but I enjoyed their enthusiasm
In an attempt to help others I see in the comments who are confused because they don't understand Clue, here is how the game works:
At the beginning of the game, the solution is created by choosing three items (each at random): a player’s color (dye, or color in a cauldron for some modpacks), a Weapon, and a location. These are put in the solution chest, and remain hidden until the end of the game. The rest of the clues (all remaining colors, weapons, and locations) are distributed randomly amongst the players, so that each player starts the game with several clues. These clues, thus, tell that player what ISN’T in the Solution.
So the way to find out what clues other players are holding is through “suggestions”. A player will go to a room, then suggest a solution: a player, a weapon, and the room they’re currently in. Each other player is then asked in turn if they can disprove any aspect of the suggestion. The first player that can disprove one will then privately reveal the clue that was suggested (the dye, weapon, or location) to the original player. This new clue is then written down by the original player to add to what they know the solution DOESN’T contain.
Ideally, each player would also be taking notes of every suggestion and who shows up to disprove each, as this could tell them what clues are being shown to others, as well, but with limited writing function in the game and limited attention span by the players, that likely won’t figure into the game.
Anyway, I don’t remember exactly how the accusation mechanics works (for when a player thinks they have the solution), but if the player is wrong, then they are removed from the game.
Please Like this comment so that confused people can easily see it!
when a player thinks he has the solution on his turn he will say he wants to make a accusation and say out loud; the person, weapon and room. He will then go to the chest to see if he's right. If he is he wins, if not he doesn't say whats in the chest and leaves the game so that the others can try to figure it out but not before telling them the clues he had in his hand.

"I got hit hard in the face with a moonball"
Looked like a medium boop to me.
I’m honestly sad this video will get less views than a normal Minecraft would because that moon ball throw at the beginning was amazing. It’s like a pregnant seeking ball of fun and pain
Ryan- she’s pregnant!!! ( you think With Lindsay being pregnant there would be a cease fire but nope )
@@92Carnage it could knock something down and hurt her or the baby
there was a cease fire for like a week or 2
As a pregnant woman I can assure you, a bouncy ball wouldn't be of harm unless it went flying at her tummy full force, or knocked something heavy down on top of her.
Gavin learning to kick Lindsey is the best part of this video.
Um no?
*Jeremy accuses Ryan of murder with a sword*
*Ryan proves his innocence by showing jeremy he has a sword.........?*
Wouldn't that make him a suspect?
Experience Master No, all of the items that they have are NOT involved in the murder, therefore the sword is not a part of the murder. The point of the game is to make suggestions and have people prove you wrong so you know who, what, and where aren't involved in the murder. Essentially the whole game is spent narrowing it down to the one person, weapon, and room that are involved in the murder
I think he probably knows that. It's a remark on the nonsense nature of the way the game works
Well technically speaking, Ryan doesn't have a sword per se, but rather a clue that dictates a sword wasn't involved. Here a sword is a visual clue. If that makes sense. I get the joke originally made, this is referring more to the remark about the nonsense nature comment.
@ 38:11 Geoff giggling as he walked away was the funniest thing he's done in recent memory...

I feel like there needs to be a prelude video for these types of Minecraft board game related let's plays. Like, have a video where they tour the game and mess about first, and then when they got most of it out of their system actually play the game (and maybe mess with everything again along the way).
The messing about is half the fun!

For anyone wondering, it was Cludo first, but America changed it to clue because they thought it'd sell better.
Why Cluedo? The original version was developed in WW2 and was called "Murder!", but was changed to "Cluedo" when it got a publisher. The name is a mix of "clue" and the Latin word "ludo" (I play), which was a common term in Britain for boardgames.

Gasp! Matt is playing with the old rules. So fun fact, to speed up the game, they added a second dice so you can get to rooms faster. Letting you guess sooner, and letting you solve the game sooner! Though, the board I have only uses one dice. (They also changed all the characters to bratty teens with smartphones.)
I've also never heard of the rule that makes you unable to stay in a room and throw suggestions multiple turns in a row.
Cyyberslam8 that has always been a rule, however if a person is brought into a room through a suggestion, they can on their next turn make a suggestion themselves. They don’t have to leave a room in that case.
That particular rule can be found in the rulebook lol.
Dude they've made half a dozen different versions with different ways to speed up or glamorize the game. They've also changed a few characters around more than once. I'm surprised Matt included Dr. Orchid instead of the classic Mrs. White

Poor jack didn’t realize him having the hoe means it WASNT that xD
BriskBoi using an item you have is a good way to check for another specific item. For example, if i have the hoe and a certain colour (red for example), then i can use those two to test for a certain room. If you guess three random things you don’t have, there’s nothing stopping a person from showing you the same item that they hold, multiple times in a row (providing you keep guessing the same combination)
its crazy how I get to see everybodies items and I still have no idea what the right answer is
that's the great thing about watching these 5 years later is that you forget what happens
