It's both easiest to preserve and hardest, in a way. Especially when people don't follow the 3-2-1 backup rule. It's easy to click on a file and save it, but if you don't have reliable backups, one thing goes wrong with your machine and everything could be lost. Sure, preserving physical objects is also hard because you have to limit all external factors like temperature, humidity or even sunlight if you don't want something specific to destroy with age. But unless there's a flood or a fire in the building it's kept in, a physical object won't just disappear, but a computer file could in many circumstances be erased completely in a matter of microseconds.

Herobrine is, debatably, one of the most successful and effective creepypastas in the history of the internet. Somewhere, in your mind, when you play, he’s there. When you enter a dark cave, a desert temple, an abandoned village. You’ll always have that intrusive thought: he’s right behind me isn’t he? Edit: I know it’s cringe, the point was to make a “he’s right behind me isn’t he?” joke at the end. Please get off my back lmao.
I have a herobrine mod that he will watch you from a far and teleport to you hit you once and make you blind and the mod creator has a paid version of it that has a boss fight in your dreams it’s a real spooky one cause he can follow you between dimensions like the twilight forest neather etc
I'm not gonna put some "there's something so unnerving..." nonesense for that thumbnail. No matter how old I'll get, that picture will STILL scare tf out of me.
I remember having a massive crush on Herobrine back in middle school and would often draw him and my self insert Mary Sue OC together. I’m really happy that the legend is still going strong a decade later. I hope the stream gets found eventually cause holy crap I never knew this existed :0
I'm also looking for a Herobrine related video series called "Hunt For Herobrine" it had 18 episodes with the last one being a recap and a promise of a second season
Congrats, Jorge - you literally upload a video on the topic and the stream is found the same goddamn day. Legendary Lost Media W. Now you gotta update the video title to Found, lmao
As a small note the most likely reason why they were still able to open the world file is because Minecraft does archive its previous versions and you can play on them.
I absolutely love these Lost Media mysteries and documentaries. They are so fascinating and interesting, and that's crazy to me because I'm one to have very little interest in these kind of things, but lost media seems to be right up my alley. I really hope one day I will be able to make videos like yours.
People forget in early minecraft, brightness was not adjustable, now days most people play on max brightness. Back then the lighting was much more moody and dark places were DARK, minecraft was honestly a very creepy game at times back in the day.
I actually remember when Herobrine was the talk of the internet. It was actually one of my first Creepypastas before I even knew what a Creepypasta was! I also remember a few UA-cam videos where the people playing the game had that mod with the totem to summon Herobrine. It was hilarious!
The lost stream is cool but it’s also another rabbit hole that lead to me finding out about white eyes. Both are pretty cool bits of early Internet horror.
Dude, you have some banger episodes that are so classic. I’ve watched them like four times each like the UFO one and the Oakley guy one so many good ones.
I swear I remember seeing a clip from the Copeland stream and some other stream, where someone breaks a stone block in a tunnel they're making and sees herobrine, and they run
never would I have expected Jorge to go over a Minecraft subject, keep up the good work, you could even talk about a disturbing Roblox subject after. (also @2:01 that insane face reveal, even if it wasn't supposed to be a video as a face reveal, is just pure perfection)
they need to add herobrine into vanilla minecraft already lmao but only as like a passive, neutral entity who can't be approached and just watches from afar. I feel like he should take tree leaves and make monuments like in the og creepypasta, but I'd like herobrine to just be soke type of watcher, not a hostile thing
jorge has some sort of power where if he makes a video on something it gets found less than a day later. All that being said, please make a video on slamfest!!!! I need to see it!!!!
a few hours ago I finished watching a video titled 'The ACTUAL History of Early Minecraft' that mentions such stream and I'm so extremely lucky to have you upload this video today. I was so curious to know more information.
Well, this is a really big coincidence. Right after the day this video was uploaded, the Original Brocraft Herobrine stream was found! What a timing tho
I never saw the Copeland stream, but I did see the clip on a compilation of Herobrine "sightings" on UA-cam. Two of my best friends and I were big into Minecraft at that time, and I remember watching at least one compilation that included the Copeland clip. When I sent it to them, we joked that there were other clips that were more "realistic" as Herobrine was flat in the Copeland clip and 3D in the other ones
July is really the month for solving some Minecraft mysteries in 2024, first the Copeland herobrine stream was found and then the “very strange house in Minecraft that I did not build” video has also been solved
Never forgetting that time my friend trolled our friend group by sneakily adding a herobrine plug-in to the server. The randomly spawning monuments, our houses suddenly burning, and the distant sightings kept us absolutely paranoid throughout that year of middle school!
Literally just a few days ago I thought that nobody would be able to find this because it was a small mystery that nobody cared about. Thank you jorge for bringing this to light

Edit: I know it’s cringe, the point was to make a “he’s right behind me isn’t he?” joke at the end. Please get off my back lmao.
no i dont
i dont lmao
I do
cringe
I have a herobrine mod that he will watch you from a far and teleport to you hit you once and make you blind and the mod creator has a paid version of it that has a boss fight in your dreams it’s a real spooky one cause he can follow you between dimensions like the twilight forest neather etc
I'm not gonna put some "there's something so unnerving..." nonesense for that thumbnail.
No matter how old I'll get, that picture will STILL scare tf out of me.
OMG I CANT BELEIVE GEORGE IS TALKING ABOUT HEROIN BRICE NO WAY
him rot mice
“Heroin Brice” 💀💀💀
Yo things haven't been the same since my boy Heroin Brice passed. Died doing what he loved. Heroin.
OMG SAMEE I LOVE HEROIN SM
Yeah, it's very fitting.
Someone named herobrine messaging the guy on reddit telling him to stop is so funny to me i cant stop laughing

anything herobrine related gives me so much nostalgia, I miss being young gullible kid watching countless herobrine sighting videos circa 2013
Except for the jumpscare at the end, this was another great video. I just can't stand jumpscares.
Thx for the warning
Thanks for the warning, sorry you had to go through this before any of us could warn you about it
@@metalerox3 At least it's just a visual jumpscare, which can still be plenty unsettling without having a loud scream accompanying it.
The craziest part to me about the Herobrine story is that since it came from a 4chan post, we will never know who came up with it.
I made that post on 4chan
I made that post on 4chan
I made that post on 4chan
Crazy that thanks to this video someone figured they had it. Maybe we shouldn't blame it on jorge.
Im loving the rapid fire Jorge content lately
I remember having a massive crush on Herobrine back in middle school and would often draw him and my self insert Mary Sue OC together. I’m really happy that the legend is still going strong a decade later. I hope the stream gets found eventually cause holy crap I never knew this existed :0
I'm also looking for a Herobrine related video series called "Hunt For Herobrine" it had 18 episodes with the last one being a recap and a promise of a second season
funny cause the stream was found a day after this video was made
I always love when people talk about herobrine because nobody wants to mention that canonically he's notch's dead brother
Congrats, Jorge - you literally upload a video on the topic and the stream is found the same goddamn day. Legendary Lost Media W. Now you gotta update the video title to Found, lmao
It’s always is sad to see a historical important piece of media goes missing.
Nope, not anymore.
good thing we found it ^_^
You might wanna sit down for this buddy...
As a small note the most likely reason why they were still able to open the world file is because Minecraft does archive its previous versions and you can play on them.
The biggest shock was finding that one of the original hoaxers had a wife. Completely destroyed my view of the minecraft fandom.
the opening shot, with the monitor & launchkey, matches my setup almost perfectly... the surreal feeling is strong with this one
It was found a few hours ago I think this video brought more light to the search :)
Less than a day since this has been uploaded and it’s already been found lol
I absolutely love these Lost Media mysteries and documentaries. They are so fascinating and interesting, and that's crazy to me because I'm one to have very little interest in these kind of things, but lost media seems to be right up my alley. I really hope one day I will be able to make videos like yours.
3:28 the way he pronounced Flaky lmao
Also I didn’t know Minecraft existed in the Happy Tree Friends universe lmao
People forget in early minecraft, brightness was not adjustable, now days most people play on max brightness. Back then the lighting was much more moody and dark places were DARK, minecraft was honestly a very creepy game at times back in the day.
man i remember watching the Enderboss videos on the topic. its unfortunate theres been very little progress made since
welp, this aged well.
I actually remember when Herobrine was the talk of the internet. It was actually one of my first Creepypastas before I even knew what a Creepypasta was!
I also remember a few UA-cam videos where the people playing the game had that mod with the totem to summon Herobrine. It was hilarious!
3:24 i’m pretty sure it’s pronounced “flake-ee” i’d recognize that porcupine anywhere
Amazing how your videos always seem to help find media quickly. Happy the stream was found though i wonder if someone can fine the mod
The lost stream is cool but it’s also another rabbit hole that lead to me finding out about white eyes. Both are pretty cool bits of early Internet horror.
Though I wanna see the original white eyes earliest depiction looks like?
0:13 hey man clean your monitor
No
@@Aquaman-o9m who tf are you?
No 😂
Dude, you have some banger episodes that are so classic. I’ve watched them like four times each like the UFO one and the Oakley guy one so many good ones.
the fact it was found in the same day this video was uploaded
I swear I remember seeing a clip from the Copeland stream and some other stream, where someone breaks a stone block in a tunnel they're making and sees herobrine, and they run
Perfect, I was just about to play minecraft! Thank you!
Update: This was just found thanks to this video!
Jorge, you need to like, buy some lottery tickets right now
Literally 😭 what are the chances
never would I have expected Jorge to go over a Minecraft subject, keep up the good work, you could even talk about a disturbing Roblox subject after.
(also @2:01 that insane face reveal, even if it wasn't supposed to be a video as a face reveal, is just pure perfection)
I saw the original footage somewhere in a herobrine compilation video ❤
I remember the stream where he screamed and ran down a stair and then going on a hole and ending that stream
Do you know where to find the compilation??
@@vincinel114 best I can recommend is to type herobrine compilation on UA-cam copy the link and go to the wayback machine to 2011
@@vincinel114 Not needed anymore, it was found!
The stream being found 15 hours after this video was published must be the most awkward timing to a lost media video ever
0:01 Clean your monitor bro.

remember pretending herobrine was in my world to scare friends, good times
The day Minecraft gets its last update, Herobrine should lowkey be made canon lol
"More influential than legos were to our parents and grandparents"
Oh I guess, i'm an old person now.
they need to add herobrine into vanilla minecraft already lmao
but only as like a passive, neutral entity who can't be approached and just watches from afar. I feel like he should take tree leaves and make monuments like in the og creepypasta, but I'd like herobrine to just be soke type of watcher, not a hostile thing
Players would inevitably try to fight him. I know I would.
@@brendan5260I think the implication of "can't be approached" is that he would run away and despawn
Like Odin in Valheim
i know you meant adding him into the base game but there's already a mod for that called "From the Fog"
Then what's the point?
Never played MineCraft, never heard of Herobrine (wrong generation, probably) but still found this interesting.
the minecraft stream has been found then same day this was uploded
Did you just call me old for growing up before minecraft?
jorge has some sort of power where if he makes a video on something it gets found less than a day later.
It wasn’t a coincidence, someone watched this video and realized it was lost. This video is why it got found
Herobrine content in 2024 is amazing, now I wanna play Minecraft
UPDATE: Stream was downloaded back then by brutallillfjomp and just posted on his channel
AKA it has been found!
I never saw the Copeland stream, but I did see the clip on a compilation of Herobrine "sightings" on UA-cam. Two of my best friends and I were big into Minecraft at that time, and I remember watching at least one compilation that included the Copeland clip. When I sent it to them, we joked that there were other clips that were more "realistic" as Herobrine was flat in the Copeland clip and 3D in the other ones
jorge, youve been in the youtube game for nearly a decade now, youre legally obligated to make a minecraft lets play at some point.
July is really the month for solving some Minecraft mysteries in 2024, first the Copeland herobrine stream was found and then the “very strange house in Minecraft that I did not build” video has also been solved
Ive been wanting this to be found for a decade now
Never forgetting that time my friend trolled our friend group by sneakily adding a herobrine plug-in to the server. The randomly spawning monuments, our houses suddenly burning, and the distant sightings kept us absolutely paranoid throughout that year of middle school!
Actually I remember watching that old herobrine stream a LONG long time ago
Literally just a few days ago I thought that nobody would be able to find this because it was a small mystery that nobody cared about. Thank you jorge for bringing this to light
blameitonjorge coming straight for me at 3am with that thumbnail huh
