  • In this JCS inspired true crime documentary, we tell a story about a man named Ralph who denied all involvement in the murder of a single mother, however - he accidentally slips up on during a phone call and says some things that are quite incriminating...
    This case dives deep into the details of the crime, the interrogations and legal aftermath. This is the case of Paige Birgfeld.

      Honestly it's probably partly because dudes like this have better lawyers than drug peddlers. It's also easier to prove intent with drugs. I mean I'm mad too, believe me. I don't even like pot but it's stupid that people who just sell it get like life in prison but then actual murderers barely have time to finish a John Grisham novel while they're locked up.

      I love high risk sports- a classic Adrenaline junkie. But when I had my son 4 years ago I gave all that up because I wasn’t going to let him grow up without a daddy because of anything so selfish as me wanting to risk life and limb for sport.
      People will cry “victim blaming”, but it really has to be pointed out that she CHOSE to engage in risky behaviors while raising children who needed her. I’m not saying she deserved to die, but I am saying that the majority of the blame falls on her for making choices that put her in harm’s way.

      I sobbed at that too. My heart nearly stopped. Heartbreaking for the whole family’s anguish, devastation, and desperation. It was crystal clear that the were a very close family and loved Paige so much. It is unfortunate that circumstances made her vulnerable to deciding to be an escort. She was an admirable woman for all she conquered and endured.
      Maybe seeing this will be the reason other young ladies will decide against or get out of it. So sad!
      What a world we live in. The takeover of Western Nations’ God First Society, culture, governments, media, churches, music have caused all this wickedness to abound.

    • @TraciDoering-hw8hu

      I disagree only in part, The majority of the blame is on the murderer.But, I otherwise agree with your statement that Paige is responsible for the risk she put her and her family in. It is good to speak this fact and reality. Society has degraded so much that the norm is very few are accountable or speak accountability. What you said is not victim blaming. You were standing for Paige’s responsibility and accountability..
      Ironically, there are a lot of groups and people crying victim, where they are not. While at the same time society is full of excuses with little accountability. Accountability is central to morals, wisdom, safety, and success. The reverse is true without it.
      Bravo for daring to speak up. Society has been conditioned and brainwashed what is acceptable to speak on regarding morals , accountability, and other.. This remaking of morals and reprogramming of what’s right has degraded society. It transfers to.all areas of life and decision-making, individually and by the masses
      Paige had a family who loved and would have supported her to rebuild her life. Saving the house and more money obviously factored in her decision. She made the choice to put herself and family at risk. We are accountable for our choices even more when we have children. . @@tylerskiss

    • @J.R.in_WV
      @J.R.in_WV 27 днів тому

      @@flashfoward88would have to look at the case details but it sounds like the shooting was his first criminal charge and the kidnapping was a plea deal or he was charged under a statute less severe than what was available because the prosecutor wasn’t confidence in the evidence they had to go forward with more severe charges….it sounds like most of their evidence in that case was her eyewitness testimony against him and a few circumstantial things to support her story. The fact he was gainfully employed and had a home and ties to the community probably helped him out a lot too, with the murder not having happened yet he looks more like a mentally ill husband having control issues with his wife than someone likely to go around plotting elaborate murder plots against call girls. If he’d had a rap-sheet a mile long and never held a real job in his life he’d have likely went up the river for decades, but sometimes a real devious mind slips through the cracks in the justice system and something tragic happens as a result….its terrible but Judges have to base their sentences on something and the idea that someone who can hold a real job, have friends and associates in the community, keep and maintain their own home and just basically provide for themselves in general is someone who is less likely to re-offend than someone who’s never paid taxes, makes a living off committing crimes, has been convicted of crimes over and over, and has been a continual danger to and exploiter of the community for life….well that isn’t really a terribly flawed concept. In most cases it would be true and sadly you can’t convict someone on what they might do in the future even if there was some way of foreseeing that.

    Not taking up for Lester but a person should not be convicted based on past behavior and no evidence tying him to the current charges. It's possible, based on the prosecution's evidence, that he really didn't commit this crime. However, how he wasn't already in prison for life for the things he did do and there was plenty of evidence of is a sign of just how screwed up our justice system can be. Committed horrible cimes: Got a short sentence and nothing else. Might have committed a crime: Life in prison. Point is, if he gotten properly convicted for all those other crimes, he wouldn't have been walking free to murder this other woman.

      Take a break from true crime content for a while.
      When you watch a lot of these, it tends to make you believe that these kinds of cases are commonalities when they are actually quite rare.

    A couple things. You can't convict someone of first degree murder with no evidence. That's ridiculous. Even more ridiculous is that a guy that shot someone, kidnapped and threatened to kill someone, and broke into someone's house isn't already in jail for DECADES. There are people serving life terms for non violent offenses, yet in America you can attempt pre-meditated murder and serve a few months. It's insane.

    • @landru27
      @landru27 2 місяці тому +4

      thankfully, they didn't convict this guy with no evidence; there was plenty of indirect evidence -- enough to build up the reasonable inference that he is the one who killed Paige; "circumstantial evidence" does not mean what it means on TV; it's a perfectly valid form of evidence, if a body of circumstantial evidence removes all reasonable doubt that an accusation is correct; but don't take my word for it -- ask the 12 jury members who all agreed that yes, the evidence presented, while indirect, removed all such reasonable doubt
