I have received several comments questioning the connection between the Michael Leday case and the Christopher Clements case so I feel I must have moved through this part too quickly. To clarify - The surviving victim of the new years day attack was Valarie Calonge, Valarie Calonge is the mother of Maribel Gonzalez who is the second kidnapping and murder victim. Hopefully this helps clarify things!

A malignant narcissist will never see any fault within themselves; they feel as if they are beyond reproach, and if you dare to reproach them, they will deflect your words off of them and back to you to improve their self-esteem. Even if they somehow realized that they are the problem, their omnipresent ego prevents them from accepting the burden of suffering the momentary discomfort of self-examination.
They're ironically too focused on destroying evil, an evil that mind you usually doesn't exist within someone else. They do this typically in the name of righteousness. Instead of attempting to destroy evil, they should be addressing the sickness within themselves; as they live each day of their lives in falsehoods, they live with those beliefs and enforce them, the people of the lie.

_"you have to be careful how you say stuff on a platform."_
Unless you're rich and powerful, in which case there's rarely any accountability. There are rare exceptions, such as Donald Trump's recent case where he's been ordered to pay $83 million to E. Jean Carroll after already being ordered to pay $5 million for s*xually assaulting her. But Nancy Grace, as far as I know, has never been held accountable for any of the disasters she's left in the wake of her careless, baseless accusations of innocent people. A girl even commltted su*cide after Grace dragged her name through the mud and destroyed her life. I don't often wish bad things on people, but I wish Nancy Grace would end up on the receiving end of a false accusation so she knows what it feels like, the woman truly is a horrible human-being.
@xombiekilla hit the nail on the head. Yeesh! We'll see if UA-cam deletes this one, too. What am I saying that's so objectionable? 🤨

@@cynthiacunningham7220 Trust me: when you lose a child (and I speak from experience, losing a son 10 years ago), your behavior just becomes...manic. The pain in your chest is real...physical pain caused by all the mental anguish. You say and do crazy things because your whole body is in such a state of panic. (It angers me that people STILL attack the father for this, 99.9% of people having NO idea what it's like to lose a child...and people still questioning him even though the case is 100% SOLVED.)
What did the father do? He did nervous giggles. That was it. In the end, they 100% proved that a complete stranger kidnapped her and murdered her. But in the years between she went missing and when her body was found after the killer gave up the location, Nancy Grace took these conversation snippets and COMPLETELY said on T.V. that the father was the killer. She outright said it. She even (I've seen the footage) yelled at people on T.V. who were questioning her theory that the father murdered his own daughter. THE ANGUISH that this apparently caused the family was unfathomable. Not only did they have NO IDEA (at the time) what had happened to their daughter but Nancy Grace had literally millions of people thinking this poor father had done the unthinkable to his little girl.
And get this: after the real killer was caught, Nancy Grace NEVER apologized to the father, never reached out to him...NOTHING. She ignored this news and pretended nothing had happened.
As I mentioned in an earlier comment, one young woman whose daughter died some years ago had to then put up with Nancy Grace falsely claiming on T.V. that the young woman had killed her own little girl. The woman was eventually cleared, but it was too late...the young woman committed suicide SPECIFICALLY because she could not take the public hate Grace brought on her...people really thinking she had murdered her own daughter when the young mother was actually completely innocent.
It would be like YOU losing your spouse this week and me next week appearing online and going completely viral (millions of views) stating falsely that you killed your spouse and everybody believing it to be true. Imagine how much worse your pain would become if I did this to you. It's unfathomable. It's evil.
The father was innocent. It was nervous laughing during an impossible time...during the most stressful phone call on Earth. But Nancy Grace, having NO MORE INFORMATION THAN THE REST OF US, convinced millions that he was the most evil sort of person. It's not only unthinkable that someone could do something just for ratings BUT ALSO that a major news station could give her airtime to say such hurtful, false accusations.

@@inheritmyshoes9559 No. Having a certain level of disregard for the truth is enough to rise to defamation. It depends on which country's laws you're talking about, but in the USA you do not need to know you're lying to be found liable for defamation. The two biggest defenses are that you are telling the truth, or that you are stating your opinion and it can't be verified as either true or false as an objective fact. Neither defense applies here.
Falsely accusing someone of a crime is a textbook example of potential defamation. For example, you could accuse me of a crime right now. That would be with total disregard for the truth, despite you not knowing for certain that I'm not a criminal. In that theoretical scenario I'm extremely unlikely to sue, or be successful, because I'd have to prove you caused me real harm. That forms the basis of a civil suit and potential damages.
Typically, though, falsely accusing someone of something horrible has the pretty obvious potential consequence of causing real harm.

She does this because she knows she can get away with it, she only goes so far because she knows there’s limits, she knows the law, she knows the media, she knows what she’s doing. It’s why she’s never stopped.

I have a special kind of loathing for Nancy Grace, she is one of the most shallow, awful human beings out there. Once that woman decides she knows what happened, she gets tunnel vision and no amount of facts or evidence will ever change her mind. The woman couldn't give one single shit if she destroys innocent people's lives.
It's chilling to know that she was once a prosecutor, and that there are others just like her who currently work as prosecutors in this country. A prosecutor's job is to seek the truth so that justice can be served, but they're often more concerned with results, whether true or not, and in Nancy's case, ratings.

But when they found the killer who did this horrible crime I didn't see or hear anywhere about apologies that should have been made to the parents especially the father by that reporter who helped those watching her on tv stating the blame for this crime goes to the father and she quoted" I know what I know". People like this are a verbal danger to many. It leads the police the wrong way, it helps the actual killer to almost get away with the crime and most of all the father now lost his daughter but is being blamed on the air for that crime. Another woman, who got drunk and fell asleep on her baby son, causing his death, was labelled "vodka Mom" by Grace. This woman responded by setting herself on fire. I'm born and raised Tucson (in Pima County) and remember seeing Isabel's posters all over town, so it's insanely surreal to see one of the few true crime channels I'm subscribed to make a video about the case. Everyone in the county knew her name. I was ten years old when this happened and can remember a specific instance where I was walking into a Coldstone with my family and saw her poster on the window. I also remember a couple of years going by and still seeing her posters up and everyone would get sad because they all had a feeling she was gone. A lot of people thought it was her dad or people involved with her dad which I'm sure is thanks to Nancy (she should absolutely be sued for slander). When Isabel was found in 2017, I was relieved because I thought it meant her killer would be found soon. Obviously that's not exactly what happened so I never knew who did it until now. I actually thought it was still unsolved so thank you for the closure. Hopefully he is found guilty in 2024. Rest in peace Isabel and Maribel.

I love this channel because it’s not just the raw interrogation video the whole time, and it’s actual researched, well put together and chronological (with exception to when it’s clearly explained) footage. Also because there’s no agenda in the narrative and it’s just facts and no ridiculous assumptions. STAYAWAKE really does the whole genre proud.

Being a journalist or entertainer does not protect you from slander. She absolutely needs to be sued for it. She promotes herself as a legal expert with “inside information” to the facts of the case. Publicly accusing the parents of kidnapping and murder while stating “I know they are involved” is not the same as offering an opinion.

As far as the father "laughing" during the 911 call, nervous or inappropriate laughter and smiling is a real thing. I remember it happened to me and I was mortified. My then 5 year old son's asthma was so bad that none of the drugs or treatments were working, and the Dr came out and told me the only thing left that they could do was to put him in a medically induced coma and intubate him. Horrifying news and you'd think every parent would crumble and break down in tears. But I briefly smiled and let out a quiet laugh. I was horrified and the change in the doctor's face left me feeling embarrassed and humiliated. Obviously I didn't see this as good news or something funny, it was an involuntary reaction.

Nancy Grace has been sued multiple times over her "career" and has actually had to pay money to her victims on multiple occasions. One of the saddest events was when Nancy brought on Melinda Duckett onto her show after Melinda's 2 year old son Trenton came up missing. Nancy attacked the woman and told her to just confess that she killed her son and also was questioning her about why she would not talk about the lie detector test police had given her regarding her son's disappearance. Turns out Melinda had been told by a police and her lawyer not to talk about it as she was cleared of any wrong doing and Police were actively searching for a suspect they identified yet Nancy's public attacks against the mother and false accusations led to the mother committing suicide. Her family sues Nancy Grace and Grace settled out of court and Melinda family used the money they got to set up a fund in Melinda's name to help parents of missing children. In 2014 she was sued by Michael Skakel who had been wrongfully convicted of murder in 2002 and had served 11 years before DNA proved he wasn't the killer. Nancy Grace blatantly lied on air that she had sources in law enforcement that told her that the test was wrong and he was about to be re arrested at any moment because they now had a direct link to his DNA to his victim Martha Moxley and reported they had found his DNA in semen they had overlooked from raping the victim. The problems were that not only was Martha not raped or sexually assaulted but there was no semen there at all. During the defamation trial on one of Nancy Graces producers in the show admitted that Nancy knew that but said that" It made for better television to claim that and their berating would be higher" and told her staff that higher ratings meant bigger bonuses since they were coming up on the end of the quarter. Anyway, he won a bunch of money from both her and the network and was completely innocent as it later emerged the real killer was Martha's ex bf. There have been many other examples and that is why headline news finally dropped her years ago because they said that the ratings she brought was not worth the constant lawsuits they were included in in which they had to keep paying out money to the victims she falsely accused.

If there was at least one week where there wasn't reports like this it would really be nice. Every time I hear no body can be found it just breaks my heart every time for the family and friends. I have 2 children and that would drive me over the edge and would do everything and any thing to get answers even if I ended up behind bars as long as I got answers to my questions. Closure needs to be made and you can only have that with a body to bury. And there is no room for laughter! Body or no body if they has enough evidence connecting to a specific person that person should have been arrested and held no matter what. Once they connect him too one then they can go searching for other charges while he is lock up instead of waiting so long to find this child. Get the first charge and go from there, get him off the street first. that's the way I see it.
