      Me too! It'll be what I was originally planning on doing, so I'm happy already. I took some before video and will get some after shots as well to make a video over it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Thanks brother doesnt look too bad. I'll be trying it soon. I got my double ts and dying to install them. But first I need to paint or powder coat them. Im planning on control blocks and levers also. When you painted your headlight bucket did you remove the chrome or just scuff it?

    • @RSWarriorBryan
      @RSWarriorBryan  5 років тому +1

      Actually plasti dipped my bucket last year. Wasn't sure if I wanted it painted or not, so I went with that since it just peels off. As of now, it's chrome. Took it off with the bars and am planning on painting it, but haven't decided yet what I'm going to do. That plastic chrome has a hard time getting paint to adhere. I'll definitely keep you posted!

      @@RSWarriorBryan I just plasti dipped my whole bike. Temp solution until can afford real paint

      It works pretty well. Only thing you'll need to watch out for are spots that rub and don't drip gas on it. I had my left side cover painted with it on my first Warrior when the elbow under the tank came loose and spilled gas everywhere. Found out it eats the plasti dip right off. Luckily was only two blocks into the ride so the motor wasn't hot.

    Hey Bryan love your videos! Im not much of a mechanic but because of ur videos im able to do these mods myself. Saves money and feels awesome. So thank you! I ordered the radius baron bars u recommeded but in order to feed the wiring through do i have to cut and sodder them back? Or add wire?

    • @RSWarriorBryan
      @RSWarriorBryan  5 років тому +1

      Thanks for watching! To wire the bars internally, you will need to cut and add length to the wires, making sure to solder the all connections. It is a pain, but very doable if you take your time and be patient. When soldering the wires, stagger the connections, so that you don't have all the connections in one spot making it impossible to get through the bars. You can release all the wires from the connectors, making sure to take very good pictures of where they all go back inside the connectors, ie blue and black wire in 1st slot, pink and brown 2nd slot, etc... I took a shoestring and taped it to the wire cluster and fed it through that way. Used a lot of curse words and time, but got it through eventually. You can see now that after this video, I didn't put them back in. 🤣 now my wires just hang out by my cables. Thanks again for watching. Hope that helps! Stay safe out there.

    First even though I have owned many bikes I never worked on my own until the Warrior. The Warrior in some ways is as overly complex as a 1980's Audi and simple as an Old Harley in others.
    Headlight removal is a must. Just do it carefully. Removed controls somewhat like you did. Loosened the tach but did not totally remove. It was a bear to get the bars off. Those nuts between the tightness and tiny location to get the nuts to turn.
    I was told I could not have 10 inch of rise on my bars by the Pro Mechanic. Not so if you did what I did.
    The wires and cables are trapped by a bracket. Almost impossible to get to. I used bolt cutters to snip the wire bracket. Broke off the rest, unbolted it, and was able to pry it out the bottom. This part was the most frustrating and the most rewarding. If you do it you will find out why it is such a pain.
    It gives you at least 6 more inches of cable and wiring to work with. Thus I installed 4 inch risers with 5 inch rise bars. Biltwell Zed Bars of course in black. More narrow than stock by about 4 inches.
    Better for lane splitting should you want or have to. Like mini or micro apes in a way. Your wrists will thank you.
    I also added my Biltwell grips, lead shot in the bars, and bar end weights. Again your hands will thank you.
    Always look for deals online and buy at a deep discount.

      Yes sir. I actually did the same thing with the bracket when I installed my bars. The wires don't hug as close to the bike there, but I didn't have to add anything to the length of the cables or brake lines.
      When I removed my stock bars, the risers actually stuck on me and it took forever to get the to break free. Finally stuck a pipe in the risers and twisted them free.
      Bet with the extra weight, those bars don't move at all! My bars aren't too bad for vibrating, but my dad has extra fat bars that dint sit inside the bushings in the triple tree. His bars almost vibrate me off the bike!

      @@RSWarriorBryan I bet they do. MIne was a two 6 pack job for sure with lots of breaks. I seem to remember that sticking as well.

    You know my personal list for the Warrior... BARS, EXHAUST, WIDE TIRE,,, then sit back and watch everyone drool. I always due my bikes this way then slowly due all the other mods and try to eliminate or hide anything that is not needed. Great job sharing this video it's going to help people for many years to come.

    Great video. Made me cringe with that impact driver lol.
    By the way, I recently learned about JIS screw drivers. I never knew that Japanese bikes and cars do not use Phillips screws. They are actually JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard). I picked up one with 6 drive types from Vessel on Amazon and it was awesome with all the work I did this Spring. It fits so so much better and feels "right".
    Here is a great link explaining JIS:
