Awesome! Glad the video was able to help you get your BAK installed. Have you gotten to ride it and test it out yet? If so, how are you liking it? Did you relocate the coils while you were at it? It's nice, definitely a difference. It appears if the previous owner wasn't even aware of the airbox or filter under the tank. My only issue now is surging between 2100-2300 rpm if my speed dictates I hang out there. For the time being I'm shifting to work around it.This was present before the upgrade though and I do have a VH fuelpak. I've read through the forums and blue bloods issue. I'm just trying to find a setting to maybe adjust it before pulling the FuelPak altogether. Reccomendations?

Have you figured this out? Sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet about this. I'd check both dry breaks first thing. Spray with a little wd 40 and click into place. Should hear an audible click of they seat right. From there, I'd check the two sensors underneath from the airbox and be sure they're not crossed or pinched. Also, you can run a diagnostic and see what code pops up and that will help to narrow it down as well. Try those if you haven't and let me know what happens!

RS Warrior Bryan I bought mine 8 years ago with the vBAK, AIS removal and power commander already completed, so it interesting to see all the junk that used to be there. What a mess.
I ordered new filters off this link. I have had the Churchkey V-Bak since 2009. My Warrior has over 40,000 miles and I still love it! I get compliments every time I take it out. What a great bulletproof platform of a bike! Have you done an R1 fork and brake conversion yet? I did mine years ago and it makes a huge difference as well.
Looks like that will be my Next project this winter

Do the stacks make that much more of a difference compared to having no stacks? My bike has K&N filters directly on the throttle bodies. Just curious, and thanks for the video Bryan. I am also one of the people you describe in the beginning of the video. The forums and your videos have taught me so much about our Warriors.
I'm glad they have helped! Thanks for watching. As for the stacks, they're supposed to help with the air turbulence. It changes with different lengths, curves, etc.... I believe the Patrick Racing stacks give more torque and the churchkey ones give more power, or vice versa, can't really remember. If you're looking to clean up below the tank, the bak gets that done and makes changing plugs easier. The K&N filters are also giving more air flow as well. Would probably see a slight difference with the stacks though. Thanks again Kyle!

Hey Bryan love the channel, I got a few questions for you. I bought my 06 warrior with the V bak already done, just didn’t oil change and a few hundred miles later I noticed oil on the rear head gasket. It seems to be coming from The little pod filter on the rear cylinder head. Should I just reroute that?
My second question is do you know why my air filters have oil on them, I do ride the bike relatively hard shifting at 4,200 rpms more or less. Would that cause the oil spit back ?
Hey Nikko, when you did the oil change, did you follow the procedure for draining and filling? Any idea how much oil you put in? The little pod filter on the crankcase breather will leak a little bit, but leak more when the bike has been over filled with oil. I ride mine the exact same way, shifting around 4200, and haven't had any problems at all. Check your oil level and see that it is good, also following the procedure. Lol if that's fine and you see that it is leaking just a small amount from that filter, and not the actual head, I wouldn't worry. Hope that helps, keep me posted on what you find out.
Ok so the shop that did the oil change over filled it by about 12oz and after I got it back to spec “fallowing the procedure” I still have oil leaking down the left side of the rear cylinder... it seems a bit more than what is considered normal. What’s your take on it ?
Hey Bryan! Just ordered chruchkeys vbak. Does this video show exactly how to install it?
For the most part. I went with the Churchkey myself and he actually includes great instructions with pictures of how to install it. This video is pretty much showing the same exact thing, but possibly in different orders. You could easily reference both, and if you have any questions when you go to doing it, feel free to ask. Hey bryan! Appreciate the info. Any reason why you would use the j tube over the stock tube? trying to save money but dont want to sacrifice much.
Not really. The stock ones work just fine, especially if you're trying to build the kit for the least money possible. If you didn't want to do the stock ones, you could even put the filters directly to the throttle bodies, just make sure you get the right filters to fit. I believe the throttle bodies are two inches wide. Hope that helps you out a little. Thanks again, stay safe out there!
@@RSWarriorBryan you're the man brother. One more question. Is it ok to keep the stock air coffin on after doing a BAK?
Of course! Even have some guys that will install a cone filter on that side just for looks. Since you're removing the air box under the tank and everything, it won't be hooked up, so it'll just be for looks, but helps to hide the wires there also.
Bryan, if I want 2 swap out my sparkplugs, do I need to remove the stock airbox as shown in this vid? :/
I believe you are able to squeeze them out of the side. That is where the factory tool kit is really handy. With the big air kit, you have a lot more room to get it there. You'll cuss that right, front plug a little more, but should be able to get it out. The hose will be really helpful to get it started as well. Good luck!
The right rear plug is a pisser on warriors.
Haha. Plugs on this bike are such a pain. That's the only reason I went with the iridium plugs, so that hopefully I can go a lot longer between changes.

As for the windshield, I'd check into Boulevard. They make great ones that a lot of guys swear by. I have a 2006 warrior with flames, has been running perfect since I’ve had it. I just washed it and right after took it for a ride and it’s running fine except for when I’m slowing down. While letting the bike slow itself down in gear it sounds sick kind of like it’s missing or something instead of the smoothness that I’m used to hearing while slowing in gear. Any idea what it may be?
Hey Brittany, Thanks for watching and for the question. When you washed it, did you use a pressure washer? What kind of air intake set up do you have? How long ago did you wash it, and how long has it been acting like this? Sputtering could be any number of things ie vacuum line coming undone, water getting into intake, which is very rare, electrical connections on the coil, under the seat, etc.... If it clears up in a few hours, I'd assume water has gotten into somewhere. I'd check connections for any tuner you're running and the coils. Could also apply silicone to them to keep any moisture from occurring in the future. There are a few places to start checking, I hope it helps and you can get that bike back to smooth. @@RSWarriorBryan I took it for a ride right after I had washed it, no pressure washer but did spray it pretty good with the water hose and nozzle. Has stock air intakes still. It did fine while accelerating but just sound real ruff while slowing and actually back fired pretty loud once.

RS Warrior Bryan just got back from a ride haven’t been able to go out the past few days because of rain but the bike did a lot better, guess something just got wet after washing her and had to dry out.

Hey bryan, where is the fuel relay on a 2002 yamaha warrior xv17pcp
It's actually located near the battery box under the seat. If you remove the battery, you'll find the relay rack. Has your headlight relay, turn signal relay, etc.. It's actually located behind the turn signal relay. Hope that helps. If not, let me know and I'll try and give a little more info. Thanks for watching!

My warrior is burning a lot of oil ,yet i don't see any black smoke or oil on the garage floors. I'm topping up with a semi synthetic 10 40 oil ,any opinions would be appreciated
Hey Sean, thanks for watching and commenting. Oil consumption on these bikes is pretty rare. May be a dumb question, but have to make sure. Are you making sure to warm up the motor and do the correct procedure when checking the oil? Are you running a BAK/VBAK? If so, have you looked at the crankcase vent filter or line to see if any is coming from it? I usually take some cardboard or white paper after an oil change, or when looking for a leak and let it sit overnight under the bike. Let's me see pretty quick if anything is leaking. How much oil would you say you're losing in how many miles?
Hi warrior Bryan , having read your reply,I looked at your video on the correct way suspensiond had to remove some.As this is my first cruiser, its a pretty silly mistake and i appreciate your advice and patience. I will keep a close eye on it after each ride for a while until I'm sure all is well.It is an 06 American import and would appear to be standard in every way except for Vance and Hines straight pipes ,a bit rare here in Ireland. If you do this VBAK, do you need the coffin air cleaner on the right side? Is the stock bike "cleaning" the air twice? Thanks.
Do you have any advice for a RS Silverado 1700 that’s carbureted? I want to upgrade my intake to get some more power but the carb is what is Chinese to me
If you have an aftermarket exhaust and install an air intake, you will need to have the carb re-jetted. If you are not familiar with carb jetting, get it to a shop for this tuning. Also I'm assuming your bike is not a Warrior like in this video. I suggest you check the Facebool group Road Star Clinic. Awesome group and very helpful. Good luck!
