Same here brother I remember I was 13 as a kid listening to 46&2 in my dad's trans am convertible and being absolutely mesmerized by the bass line and picked up my first 2 basses shortly after. Everyone is talking about how great Tool is, and I agree, they were my favorite band for a long time, but can we talk about how great this *video* is??! Perfectly captured the feeling of a whole bunch of people becoming Tool fans, and had me high on nostalgia thinking back to when I bought my first Tool album, Lateralus, the day it came out, and my feeling of just pure joy and awe that a band could be so good. Tool is one of those bands that just captivates you. Absolutely legendary band, and fantastic video, well done.

I found them two weeks ago, first week i listened to every single song, every day, all day, and I can say this band, saved my life. The music truly is in my opinion therapeutic, it really got all the bottled up emotions out for me, if I could recommend tool to anyone struggling, I would in a heart beat.
I don't think the band hits nearly as hard unless you kinda "need" to hear it?

I figured out why this particular TOOL reaction comp is so great: Each individual is expressing pure joy, appreciation, and utter surprise by their own emotional movement by something so seemingly "sinister" on the surface. Then us, as the viewer of all, can see how this masterpiece by Tool COLLECTIVELY affects all of them and all of us the same.
All different walks of life, all different pasts and different futures, but right here in the "present" we're all just vibing as one. Words not even needed. Stank face is enough.
Kinda makes you think - fill a room with Red, Blue, pro-this, anti-that, arch fkn enemies, and you got total chaos and negativity. But the moment you pump some MJ "Billie Jean" or some OutKast "Hey Ya!" or straight up gnarly TOOL into the room, ain't one person who's not gonna be rockin their head to the music, vibing. Straight erasing in that moment WTF we were there to argue about in the first place.
Go a step deeper, and ask yourself, "why we all so distracted by anger and fear and hatred for one another?! Who has something to gain from keeping us at each other's throats?"
And you'll arrive at the answer.
Hint: "How The 1% Maintain the Status Quo 101"

She was an incredible human, took mdma to try and heal herself of past traumas she was processing.. well.. it had fentanyl in it. and she died. We used to rock out to Tool in High school and in our first apartment together, and I'll never forget how she truly chose to embrace the random. Which is what you did. @@auntie-angie-2112 Thank you. It was hard but I just remember to honor what she cared and stood for and try to match some of my footsteps where hers might have gone. Its been really good for me. I started listening to Tool again about a month ago just for that reason. Yes I don't think any of these man made drugs can be safe, especially from the street. I don't know where you live but I know that there are places you can take mdma as a therapeutic treatment. I think the controlled substance is probably an ok bet. But just remember, just as we are, without substances, our minds are plastic and whatever thoughts we let pass through it become our brain's physical reality as those neurons get fired and create those pathways. Drugs like mdma and psilocybin can help along the way, but only if all the variables(that could make it dangerous) are known, accounted for and controlled where needed. Your comment back to me was so appreciated. ❤️ All the best to you on the rest of your life's journeys, friend.

I just have to say it. I've watched this video so many times. I've shared it on my socials. I've always been passionate about music. Many of my friends are musicians and anyone that knows me knows the love I have for the artistry of live instruments, arrangements of those instruments, lyrics, and vocals. What I love most about reaction videos is seeing someone discover a song they've never heard before. Songs from my teenage years up to now, many many years later.
What I love most about this video is watching them slowly amp up, recognize how brilliant the song is and all it's parts and will never forget it. That is what music does, creates memories. You hear an old song and it brings you back. Seeing such a great compliation makes it even better so Thank You Derek.
