Agreed. It's one of many reasons I'm so glad that Maiden came back through Atlanta in 2019. The first time I saw them, they DIDN'T play "Hallowed...", but the Legacy tour, I finally got to experience it in person.
Also, I've heard this song dozens of times, but that moment just before the solos where the song kicks into another gear STILL gives me chills and an adrenaline rush.

      @@johnadams3800 : I don't know who you're talking about, but here's something to consider.
When asked what album he would buy that isn't an Iron Maiden album, Bruce Dickenson said, "Nightwish."
As for the popularity of both, I'd put Nightwish right up next to Iron Maiden. The two bands are very similar in their characteristics. Both bands are equally as loved as the other.

One of Maiden's best and one of my faves. This performance sounds so close to the studio version it's amazing that they could recreate it live like this. All the reactions reflect my feelings of awe and to see the reactors' best moments in a compilation is so cool. Their faces just heighten my appreciation for Iron Maiden in their prime and helps me realize how good the music was that I was listening to as a teenager. I didn't really know how good. I just thought that's how music was. There's nothing like it being produced today, that's for sure.

My Suggestion is , they compose the songs with the Intention for live performances and then it got "translated" to the studio recording.
That's how the live versions work so well and sound so close to the studio. Because there rocorded like like on a concert and not for the radio.

And just think: This is a song about a man, who, being imprisoned, is living the last day of his life...getting ready to walk through the prison courtyard...on his way to the gallows. On his way to die.
And to show this, the tempo slowly builds and builds...as the protagonist feels the fear of death begin to overtake him, as his heart begins speeding up.
And the last thing he says: "Hallowed...be...Thy...Name!"
