I remember taking hot showers, jumping in my long johns and jeans, sweater, scarf, mittens, hat, jacket and standing at the bus stop for school at -10°f and lower. We had recess at that temp. 20 years later, in 1998 at Ft. Jackson SC, we weren't allowed outside for PT if it was 20° f!!!! Ridiculous! If it ever gets that cold here in WI, we're almost all in shorts! Not me! I gotta have a turtle neck on. For that neck draft. Legs don't get cold till zero. Haha. 😬

This happened to me. I was the cleaning lady for a family. The nanny was from Wisconsin. Despite having lived in Wisconsin (southern) for 6 years, I had never heard beyg pronounced like that before until she said it and I had to try to figure out what she meant. :)
I was in the same college class as Rob and remember seeing his father on campus. At our 20th class reunion he performed a comedy routine and had the crowd roaring and I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. After the show some reunion attendees and I were walking across campus, talking about him. We found his mother walking right behind us. We joked with her that it was a good thing we were speaking well of him. The next evening I was sitting across from Rob on the patio of the student union and he was rather quiet and thoughtful. You'd never have immagined he was a stand up comedian.

I flew to GreenBay to see the Packers in mid December. They. Sure live for their Packers!! It was 17 degrees and snowed 3rd quarter on. I ate a lot of cheese curds during my visit but sorry to say I’m not into beer. When leaving I asked a local what they do when football season ends. He replied we all go to the bars and wait for the season to start. He sure had me laughing. Guess he wasn’t lying.

I want to spend some time in Wisconsin and record us talking. I’m Texan, and honestly never noticed I had an accent. Well, until my grandson who was 5 years old at the time asked me why I talked like a cowgirl. Then a couple of years later I was in West Virginia at the Family Dollar store and the young man ringing up my order kept laughing and making me say different things, he made my day laughing till he was red faced with tears rolling.
I was watching this late at night trying hard not to bust out laughing and wake everyone up lol! The cow with no lips saying, “Hey!” Oh man that got me! His facial expressions are hilarious too. Thank you and bravo!! 👏👏👏

My grandfather used to drive up to wisconsin with his buddies and fish for walleye. We are huge green bay packer fans so it was fun hearing more about the people who live there.
We are a fun bunch. Make sure you visit Wisconsin Dells and the surrounding area, Madison, Milwaukee, and Eau Claire is gorgeous too! Late summer/early fall is the best time to visit ♥️

The Kohler company in Kohler Wisconsin invented the drinking fountain and they patented it as the bubbler. They sold some to some places in NY, so there are a couple pockets in the US where its called by its proper name. But I get picked on for that too
