I am freaking out! I have lost half my hair in 4 weeks. After talking to my Dr the timeline seems appropriate from my January viral illness. So happy I saw your post on FB today!
Hi Dr Lynch! You have been our hero so many times over, we thank God for you! My sister, 2 nieces and myself all experienced massive hair loss post Covid, about 3 months post. Every time I brushed or washed my hair it looked like I was going through chemotherapy. I ordered everyone the Folinic Acid B12 combo, after taking for 2 weeks my hair has stopped falling out!!! We also all loss taste and smell. We started your Vit A/ zinc, and I just ordered the PQQ to hopefully help. We all have slight recovery but still weird smells and not proper taste in all foods. Hope the PQQ makes the difference! 🌸Hugs & Aloha- Liz
Yes! It started 2 months post viral infection, and seems to have now stopped about 8 weeks after it started. I thought I was going to need a wig if it didn’t stop soon.
Thank you. I have just had significant (1/3 volume) hair lost post viral infection. This is the second time in my life with this massive loss post difficult viral infections. I did not know why, aside from the virus, but this makes so very much sense. I was searching for ways to rebuild and am deeply thankful for these recommendations.
I had my own expereince with TE in 2022-2023. My experiences was similar but my shedding waa extremely fast. I had an accident and shattered both of my feet. They were so bad i couldn't leave my bed for six weeks. This was in July. In Nov i noticed my hair thinning but i didnt think too much of it. Within a couple of weeks i lost more than half of my hair and what was lert felt like straw. I kept my hair line but everthing up top was gone. It was all scalp. I had juat finalized my divorce of 17 years too. It is very very unsettling to lose all of your hair so quick. Im 51 and a male bur a full head of hair and no baldness in my family. A lot of people just said get over it. Its just hair. What did you expect? Never lose you hair? None of that helped. I was open about it and posted on Facebook what i was going through. I did my homework - i knew what was happening wasnt normal balding. You dont go bald all at once and quickly. When i read about TE it made total sense to me. I read that if i started rogaine i would shed MORE and when i stopped i could lose what i gained. So i did nothing but wait. The shedding stopped almost as quickly as it began. I still had hair up front so i combed that back and wore my hair slicked back. Nine months passed and i wasn't seeing the bald patches anymore but my hair had so many different lenghts it was hard to know what was what. It hadn't been cut in almost a year. June 1,2023 i got my hair cut short and all of my hair had grown back. ALL OF IT. If you have TE dont panic. Its the most common cause of hair loss. Most times it will grow back 100%. Thanks for this post
Thank God I now know how to handle this if it ever happens again! I went through this in 2017. The antibiotic , Fosfomycin Brand name: Monurol was the only antibiotic I could take for the Ecoli UTI I’d gotten from a colonoscopy. The antibiotic was a one day dose, and two months later my hair loss was scary. I don’t have much to begin with but I am so grateful for this information. The products I have been using from Seeking Health were instrumental in helping me with the vaccination and over all health! Thank you !
My 6 yo daughter was severely anemic at age 2 with a folate deficiency. We eat whole foods and a variety, so it was determined her body wasn’t absorbing. The hematologist prescribed folic acid prescription, 5mg daily. We tried cutting it out, and she was on the low side of normal folate levels. He says it’s fine, she can stay on it for ever and cut her down to 5mg three times a week. I’ve been hearing more and more about folic acid having negative side effects with long-term use, and feeling concerned. Anyway, she had a bad virus (negative for Covid though) with a high fever for 7 days. Yes, 7. Fast forward 3 months later to present day, and my poor girl is losing her hair. We just did blood work today to rule out iron deficiency etc, but your video brings so much clarity. What to do!?
I love this product! I lost half if it more of my hair in a three month span after c-virus and thanks to these lozenges, it has finally grown back. No, it didn’t happen overnight… The hair loss stopped quickly, but it did take a few months to see any new hair growth. I now recommend them to anyone who went through similar illness!!! Of course, one should conduct own research and/or seek professional advice first.
A few months after covid, my thick hair started coming out by the handfuls in the shower. It's so thin now! I can see my scalp. Thank you for this video.
yes - it's a bummer and common. if stress is an issue too, consider Optimal Adrenal. A lady shared she recovered her hair with this - and she was quite stressed. www.seekinghealth.com/products/optimal-adrenal-90-capsules - but you'll need folate too. Folate is used up when stressed. But good to curb the stress in addition.
Same here. I lost more than half, maybe two thirds of my hair actually; very stressful. This started happening approx 3 months after covid (hospitalization for 3 weeks). Thanks for the advice, Dr. Lynch, I will try the folate and pray God it helps!
I bought the hydroxo B12 with folinic acid lozenges. I didn't even finish the bottle & my hair is definitely growing back. I have tons of baby hairs about 2 to 3 inches long. The hair loss from the virus isn't permanent. It will grow back. I was so scared that it wouldn't, but it is. I think the vitamins helped to get things going a lot faster.
I had C in November 2021. First part of January I started loosing lots of hair. I saw this video the day you put it out and immediately ordered. I have been taking 1 a day since I received it and the hair is still falling out. Am I not talking enough or do I need to take something else with it. Please help!
I just got your optimal multi chewable vitamins. Will the Folate in this help with the hair loss? Or do you recommend the folinic acid instead. I just started this multi yesterday. Had covid in august and recently experiencing unusual hair loss.

I started dhea 2 weeks ago because I guessed it might be hormonal as I’m in my early 40s. It’s not helped so far. I order the Hydroxo B12 with Folinic Acid so we will see how that goes.

@@DrBenLynch I'm on my 2nd bottle, and still no reduction of hair loss. I'm also taking biotin and liver capsules, just to try to get nutrient dense food in. I don't know what else to do

But i swear the day after i started my hair stopped falling out like crazy. Try to eat healthy, and get as much deep sleep as possible to help the body recover. Im adding in a regular high grade vitamin as well.
@@lindseymarie206 we have exactly the same issues ! Glad that’s working for you ! Thanks for the reminder about glutathione !
I have hair loss after infection. I take methyl folate for MTHFR. Should I stop taking that while taking folonic acid or can I take both at the same time?
Yes!!! I had COVID in 2020 and my hair is falling out crazy.. I am taking supplements and iodine but not much improvement
Definitely consider using the Hydroxo B12 with Folinic Acid Lozenge. If experiencing anxiousness or stress, consider Optimal Adrenal.
@@DrBenLynch Perfect! Thank you!
@@DrBenLynch Is Folinic Acid to be avoided for those with MTHFR?
@@DrBenLynch do ship to Poland? 🙏🏻
@@DrBenLynch I'm on my 2nd bottle, and still no reduction of hair loss. I'm also taking biotin and liver capsules, just to try to get nutrient dense food in. I don't know what else to do
Love from India ❤️👍
Thank you :)
Will methylfolate help with hair at all?
indirectly as methyl folate will become Folinic Acid after a lot of enzymatic steps. It's best to use Folinic Acid directly to avoid the enzymatic burden.
@@DrBenLynch wonderful. Thank you for your reply. I've been using methtlfolate for about 2 months, amongst other things, so I can't say for sure if that is the cause or not, but my hair FINALLY stopped shedding after months of hair fall. I'm almost out of my supplement so I just ordered your lozenge. I hope to gave a full head of hair soon!!!
