It even got to a point where in the finals Golden State actually needed KD, they couldn't be that Raptors team without him. As I recall, Steph and Klay did a couple of things here and there, but when it mattered most, those two weren't no where to be found. Plus, those two are arguably besides KD, are in top 5 best shooters. And they couldn't get it done without KD.

Obviously KD is the either the 1st or 2nd best player in the league with LBJ. Thats not even a debate. However, I think what Max is trying to say (or should be saying) is those other players are almost as good, and MUCH more valuable to their team. The Raptors are not that great without Kawhi. New Orleans is terrible without AD and so on. Take KD away form the Warroirs and they are still a good team. Take Curry away and they struggle (proven even season when Steph gets hurt, they lose). So, of course KD is a better all around basketball player than those guys they mentioned, but he is not as valuable to the team.
But that's not what he said he said AD is a better offensive player than KD which is absolutely ridiculous, and he said Kawhi is better cos KD is only a little bit better offensively than Kawhi which is equally ridiculous the guy can score from ANYWHERE..
