This car is something amazing, I got to do a ride-along and it's incredible how well it performs. I currently own a 2020 Hyundai Elantra GT N-line so I've never really experienced a fast car, I never knew what these cars were capable of, or really any capable car. I remember being slammed around in the seat with a full harness and helment and we've hit speeds of up to 150mph on the track and the brakes felt like we got back down to a slow speed within a few seconds.

Where does it end is right. 1000hp Challenger? 800hp C8? Musclecar era 2.0 is an amazing time to be alive. The only problem here is affordability. Back in the late '60's, a monster engine was a reasonable upcharge. These beasts are so expensive hardly anyone can afford them. I just hope that whoever can afford a car like this doesn't park it in a garage for 10 years and try to make money on it because it only has 28 miles on it like some jerks are doing with Ford GT's. Drive the snot out of it and let others on the street enjoy your car, if only for the roasted Michelin aroma.

epic car. my father treated himself to a 2020 mustang gt premium as a retirement vehicle, his neighbor has a 2012 GT500, cousin has a 2012 Boss 302. the 2020 is a lot nicer inside, but it's still a mustang. it's funny the first thing i noticed on his gauge cluster was the abysmal fuel range with a full tank. i had a couple fox body stangs back in the day, they've come a long way. a 460hp Fox Body would be a certified deathtrap on the street... 760+ would be suicide. to me Fox Body's turn scary after 350hp for street fun. 250-300 is a sweet spot for them.

Weight is the enemy of performance. This is one of the first times where engineers decided to leave the weight in the vehicle and remediate the issues with counter-measures. I admire the Ford engineers for making a 4200 pound car perform decently on the track. I won't second guess the folks at Ford. I drive a first generation BMW M2 which is the polar opposite and designed for the track. I'll just say they accomplish the same thing.

Good point. Ford was trying to make the car work respectably on the street and not be so fragile. It will take time to measure their success, but the decisions they made make a lot of sense.
