Had a 2020 widebody scat and moved to a 2022 ZL1 a few months ago. The challenger was ridiculously comfortable, but the chasis of the Camaro is a huge difference maker. I can go around bends at what would be considered dangerous speeds in the challenger, yet I still ran out of testicles before I ran out of grip in the ZL1. What a weapon.
The difference between the zl1 1le and gt500 easily boils down to driver competence. Only a .4 seconds difference is pretty big but still able to be made up by the driver.

In my limited experience with all three the GT500 ended up being just another fast car, while the other two have purpose and unique character you can't find anywhere else. I ended up buying the 1LE and haven't looked back.
Throttle house to me, feels like the first group of car guys, in a long time that isn’t constantly copying Clarkson, Hammond, and May. Well done boys you’ve earned a sub. Also, you boys are far more entertaining than modern day top gear.
well they’re doing pretty good in drag races and in track times, they don’t wanna make it a boat like the challenger or slower launch like mustang so they gotta try to not lose the leads they have by adding other things
Wrong , all these 3 vehicles are extremely heavy with and zero agility. so i don't lnow why take them to the track . These 3 vehicles are just muscle , and just for straight line and not track.
So we're clear, I named them this way because Captain America is stronger physically than Iron Man without his suit, and the GT500 has more power than the ZL1. But you change to the 1LE and add all the aero it's like adding Iron Man's suit. And obviously the Redeye is big and heavy with the most power.. so.. Hulk, clearly.
It's not a muscle car at all, it's a pony car, albeit, an obese one. Muscle cars haven't been made since the early 1970s. Also, no muscle car was ever even close to being as heavy as that Fiat Challenger. It's about 1,200 pounds heavier than e.g., a 1968 Plymouth Road Runner or Dodge Super Bee, and it's about 800 pounds heavier than e.g., a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T or Plymouth GTX, both of which were considered heavy for a muscle car when they were new.
@@mydickisunbelievablysmallb7098 That doesn't matter. Modern Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, etc., all have a lot more power than muscle cars did too, but that doesn't make them muscle cars. Muscle cars were intermediate size 2-door rear-wheel-drive cars with big block V8 engines. Prior to the advent of muscle cars in the mid 1960s, automakers had reserved big block engines for their full size cars (and their trucks/vans). Just the fact that no one makes big block engines anymore (and it's been decades since an automaker has put one in a passenger car) precludes the existence of modern muscle cars. Also, in the 1960s, Ford, GM, and Chrysler all had clearly defined platform sizes, i.e., compact, intermediate, and full size. For example, Chrysler had A-bodies (compact, e.g., Dodge Dart), B-bodies (intermediate, e.g., Dodge Charger), and C-bodies (full size, e.g., Dodge Polara). That paradigm doesn't even exist anymore, plus the idea of size has changed as well. For example, the final generation of the Ford Crown Victoria was considered a full size car, yet it had a nearly identical wheel base and wheel track to a '60s B-body Mopar, which was considered intermediate size.
@@MaximRecoil Lmao I commented that even though the hellcat is heavier it still has alot more power and you decide to give me a lesson in automotive history 💀 You aren't buying a hellcat to compete on the track with Lamborghinis and Ferraris. You are buying one because you like how it looks and sound and Idk maybe because it has a massive supercharged v8 under the hood that makes 800 hp that causes you to spin your tires endlessly if you want to.
People complain that they should be using different tires, different car setups, different cars altogether etc. Without ads and sponsorship it makes it very hard to bring content that people want. Yes, they obviously collect income from these videos but I'm sure a lot of the $$ goes back into the channel to increase it's production value.

My boy loved the 1LE so much, started throwing up gang signs 😹

GT500 - 2:44.6
ZL1 1LE - 2:45.0
Hellcat - 2:59.8
The difference between the zl1 1le and gt500 easily boils down to driver competence. Only a .4 seconds difference is pretty big but still able to be made up by the driver.
Even though the camaro hasn’t been updated in a while and lacks in power, it’s still so far ahead of its time
yep and even now the camaro is still the king in my mind. if they added another 100 horse powers or something the camaro would be unbeatable to the mustang!

Slower out of all three. Trans sucks. And they literally have to use two diff Camaros to even try and compete. Lol

The ZL1-1LE is a pissed off pure bred track weapon, the GT500 is a trackable weekend car, and the Challenger is a roid rage suffering GT experience. In my limited experience with all three the GT500 ended up being just another fast car, while the other two have purpose and unique character you can't find anywhere else. I ended up buying the 1LE and haven't looked back.
I’ve always been a dodge guy, but I fricken love all three of these.
Redeye: most badass
GT500: the fastest
ZL1 1LE: has a manual
Michael Avaliani not in this test it doesn’t
@@jamesengelsman9369 but you can buy one, you have no choice in the other 2😁
The redeye is slower around the track than a factory stock Honda civic. Seriously, look it up
@@StrykerV8 Because it's harder to control, both GT500 and ZL1 are more track focused.
@@StrykerV8 yeah we know, Now take that Honda Civic against the Redeye to the drag strip or a traffic light, let's see if you would still blab again.
Throttle house to me, feels like the first group of car guys, in a long time that isn’t constantly copying Clarkson, Hammond, and May. Well done boys you’ve earned a sub. Also, you boys are far more entertaining than modern day top gear.
They make a living off of copying Clarkson, May, and Hammond.
Sadly, that’s not much of an achievement. Modern top gear is insanely bad. I don’t think anyone watches it.
The sink bit killed me. Great Video an cooperation.
when the race car driver picks camaro you know chevy is doing something right. now if only they gave it more power...
Imagine the C7 zr1 engine in the Camaro zl1s? I think that'd be cool
well they’re doing pretty good in drag races and in track times, they don’t wanna make it a boat like the challenger or slower launch like mustang so they gotta try to not lose the leads they have by adding other things
They had to let them win at something!
Just kidding! I am a Chevy guy, but all 3 are monsters!
The drive look like he try to handle the Chevy on the turns but the steer look a little to stiff. But you can change a Chevy lover
Well he did say hes cheap. Maybe different story if they were same price. The ride lets the chev down somewhat for everyday use !
Can't believe you got Adam Sandler and Randy on the show! Way to go guys!
Bahaha
GT500 = Captain America
1LE = Iron Man
Redeye = Hulk
Fullmetal Media so redeye is the worst? Or are we talking comics?
I'd say swap Cap and Iron man. Iron man is the one always hittin shit
CodyDoesIt I’m fucking weak💀💀
Wrong , all these 3 vehicles are extremely heavy with and zero agility. so i don't lnow why take them to the track . These 3 vehicles are just muscle , and just for straight line and not track.
So we're clear, I named them this way because Captain America is stronger physically than Iron Man without his suit, and the GT500 has more power than the ZL1. But you change to the 1LE and add all the aero it's like adding Iron Man's suit. And obviously the Redeye is big and heavy with the most power.. so.. Hulk, clearly.

Roll - love the challengers always. It's a true muscle car. Heavy with a lot of power. And they just look the part.
@@MaximRecoil It also has alot more power than all those old cars you listed off
@@mydickisunbelievablysmallb7098 That doesn't matter.
@@MaximRecoil Lmao I commented that even though the hellcat is heavier it still has alot more power and you decide to give me a lesson in automotive history 💀
You aren't buying a hellcat to compete on the track with Lamborghinis and Ferraris. You are buying one because you like how it looks and sound and Idk maybe because it has a massive supercharged v8 under the hood that makes 800 hp that causes you to spin your tires endlessly if you want to.
MaximRecoil imagine being this butthurt

People complain that they should be using different tires, different car setups, different cars altogether etc. Without ads and sponsorship it makes it very hard to bring content that people want. Yes, they obviously collect income from these videos but I'm sure a lot of the $$ goes back into the channel to increase it's production value.

@@devn3813 so it wasn't 5 seconds slower on the track? And it didn't finish dead last in a drag race?
@@StrykerV8 You do realize that the hellcat was the only car without track tires right? That alone will account for 5 seconds on most tracks. That is why it loses traction in corners and in a straight line. Those cars are cheaper and faster than the gt500 they just need drag radials and not shit P Zeros.
