"Character," You said the engine has "character," soon after saying it is a "beast." We have owned a 2020 GT500 since 1/2/2020, taking possession of it five months after ordering it. I was so lucky, in having told our Ford dealer over 2 years prior to ordering it that when Ford came out with their next GT500 I wanted to place an order through him as immediately as possible. Back to your "name calling." Your descriptions and choice of names are all dead on. I have had some nice cars, to include a 1969 Shelby GT500 that is in immaculate, nearly perfect condition even after having 87,000 original miles put on it. Despite how incredible the 2020 GT500 is, the 1969 GT500 remains my all time favorite car - perhaps due to nostalgia to a large degree... Regardless, the video and your narration were excellent. I could feel the excitement with your every work. The passion. You definitely get what this latest iteration of GT500 is all about; its flawless performance, terrific street manners, braking that will take your breath away just as much as the unbridled acceleration, and the best handling car I have ever driven, to include some pretty exotic Porsches. I am glad I took the time to read and listen to this post, and watch the video. I lived in Germany from 1976 - 1977 while in the U.S. Army. I got to drive on the Autobahn quite a bit (near Stuttgart), but not in my 1969 Mach 1 (it stayed stateside, stored safely). Rather, I was driving a 1966 Ford Taunus (German Ford), with a v-4 and a 4 on the column tranny. It was an excellent transportation vehicle, but it was no Mustang, much less my Mach 1 (with its street/strip built engine, ruggedly beefed up FMX tranny, and fairly steep 3.0:1 ration rear axle which was perfect for a road like the Autobahn). The Mach 1 would been able to hold its own on the Autobahn with all but the fastest of supercars back then. But, the 2020 GT500 would have well been able to run with the big dogs, no doubt - and in total comfort along with its exhilarating performance. Thank you for raaking the time to produce this post. I get to live vicariously through you with the romp through Germany on some of its finest roadwaays.
You can almost see the gas gauge moving towards the "E". Nice car! So was the other hole, on the wail tail, brown? IDK, just curious! 😄 The graft that you put up @13:05, is that listed by speed, (1/8 mile maybe)? It's hard to believe there are 73 vehicles ahead of this car! Thanks for posting this sir!
I can appreciate MGB for what it is, a Porsche 911 for what it is and a Shelby Mustang for what it is, I have found a lot of charm in every vehicle I’ve owned in my 62 years. It’s just cool to see the Shelby running full out in the Land of Fast Cars and great engineering!!! Adjusting the shocks at 159 mph and cool as a cucumber 😅
It's always fascinating watching Euros review American cars. Most Americans have an elevated view of European cars and a lower view of American cars, so seeing Europeans enjoy American made vehicles this much is kind of a flipped script.
@@drunkinmaster1I mean yeah, but if you have good tires and no damage on them that probably would not happen. And also every tire has a limit on it which says how fast can you go with it. If you buy a tire which has the limit of like 250km/h of course it’s dangerous to go 300 with that. In this case I would be more worried about idiots on the autobahn who doesnt check mirrors properly when switching lanes and come in front of you. That happens alot
Probably had some heat soak going on. That vent is very necessary at high loads and speeds. It looks like he left the protection insert in. Motor and S/C need that heat escape vent badly. It will rob horsepower. That and having the wing set for max downforce. That car will do 200 mph.

It does low 6.1sec 100-200kmh and 315kmh + with the wing in the high speed setting
@@p.k.7111 That is very impressive. Thank you! In my opinion, the GT500 is a much better buy over the Hellcat for the money, although the rear seat legroom is lacking compared to the Hellcat.
@@ericbritton8146 the gt500 can do 200 mph. I’ve seen it stock. He didn’t have the right mode on and neither was the wing in set position.
GT500 is the real deal! Best Muscle car out there!
is ford aware of how much people love this car. one of my favorites of the modern era and I mean WHOLE era.
I had a short ride in a coworker's regular mustang GT manual and I could not believe how well it rode and handled for such a lead-heavy, snouty, weight forward car, I was honestly flabbergasted. I can't imagine what thid thing would feel like.
Pocas veces lo he visto tan contento con ese rugir de un motor como éste Mustang! ❤ Dios le permita seguir diviertiéndonos como niños con juguete nuevo! 🙏

The Best car reviewer on the internet and I love to hear this Germans enthusiasm for cars and to hear him admire what I think is the best American muscle car ever is cool to hear. That first run under the bridge sounded soooooo pure just in a sound class of its own.
@ ok German ish
I have a 22 GT with just 450hp and that’s fun to drive for me. I can’t imagine the fun of the Shelby. Awesome video!
You could make 500+hp easy with a few bolt ons and e85 tune.
This car has been my dream car since it came out, I'm now 22 but know for a fact that one day I will drive one myself, no matter what I have to do to get to that point💯
Max is the first guy drifting with mustang without crashing it to somewhere😅
The look, the sound, I love American v8 muscle cars, no European car looks like that. Love love this Car 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Great review, I have a 2020 GT500 myself, love to drive it, thanks for sharing this awesome video.
Blake, set your car up correct. Remove the heat extractor rain shield, and deal with the spoiler. Would run right past 200mph. Before you add a pulley.
I forgot to even look for that. Good greif that thing needs air!
@@richardmodglin3900 yep…. The heat soak costs the GT500R 20-30mph top speed. Taking shield off fixes that. Get The GT500 with track pack with dive planes, and rear spoiler WILL prevent you from getting above 175.
Another American Classic 🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have a 2018 Mustang GT Premium 2. And am upgrading it to a GT500 Spec. I love it.
The index of Max’s Laughing can let me feel what is GT500.
As clarkson would say, "what a machiiiiiiiiiiiiine". Love it
You have to love a brutal mustang!!!
THE FLY BY AT 12:10😂😂😂
Now that's what you call an Autobahn Beast. GT500 with no speed limiter sure is that.
How insane is this combination...V8 and supercharger 💪
Jeez Louisee 😁
This is the real sound
This is the real sound 👌🏻
Dream car! Had the chance to drive it on track for 3 laps. My eyes watered in the corners... Amazing experience!
My absolute dream car for sure. Better start working for it :D
NGL I think this gt500 is the best looking modern muscle by far and legit the best looking mustang since the 69 Boss 429
I concur.
Monster USA muscle....love it.
The way it pulled from 60 to 120 is crazy
Wonderful spoiler, other hole available if needed, also big tail pipe that fit a whole fist, what a beast 😂
The acceleration onto the highway blew my mind, especially when the Speedo zoomed past 100mph
What a stunning car,it truly is a work of art. 👍👍👍
I'm from America, and on my first time in Europe, on the way to Spa-Francorchamps I saw a shelby and was quite surprised
going that fast in a mustang is absolutely bonkers
Only for people who can't drive.
Could you imagine blowing out a tire at 190 mph? You would be cartwheeling for miles
The tires are at least 3 grand
@@drunkinmaster1I mean yeah, but if you have good tires and no damage on them that probably would not happen. And also every tire has a limit on it which says how fast can you go with it. If you buy a tire which has the limit of like 250km/h of course it’s dangerous to go 300 with that. In this case I would be more worried about idiots on the autobahn who doesnt check mirrors properly when switching lanes and come in front of you. That happens alot
@@szabenedekMCIt's so annoying when they do that. I don't understand. Just check your mirror.
Thank you for being respectful of the horses 🙏
He is so nice to the horses I love that ♥
Absolutely! And bicyclists as well.
7:45 Horses: "Look its one of the family waive everyone!"
😮😮😮... The way it gets up there is crazy👏👏
Seriously though.
That's what she said
bro you were hitting NASCAR levels with those speeds
At 12:25..you dont think it will go any faster than that? The 2013 GT500 was certified 200mph..I'd say the new shelby had better go faster than 188??
Probably had some heat soak going on. That vent is very necessary at high loads and speeds. It looks like he left the protection insert in. Motor and S/C need that heat escape vent badly. It will rob horsepower. That and having the wing set for max downforce. That car will do 200 mph.
As stated above, plus the aero is way more aggressive on the S550 GT500 that it will slow it down some.
