For anyone wondering, yes this is STILL from the recording batch during release week. When you start seeing Outlaw Tribes, Slaughter Tribes, #Gravewalker Difficulty etc. you'll know we're in the modern day but back then, none of those existed.
(Yeah, but real talk a mo) I know there's all likelihood to be a good chunk of people who scream "RIPOFF!" in the comments so lemme just beat y'all to the punch. I know I'm not the glorious man himself, I ain't trying to be. Doesn't change the fact I've seen people decry many a decent Shadow Of Mordor video for being a knock-off even when they weren't trying to be. Thus, I, another English shouty (admittedly less graphic-ish) bloke looking to experiment with edited content knew I was going to get a smack with that old hammer too. So why fight it? There was no way to pass this up, but to do the joke properly I had to embrace the knockoff and help Tallioon to his true destiny! To be, THE DISCOUNT RANGER! Congrats! You're a wraith, banished from death! But someone else has already been owning that gig for years, now what? And the narrative just writes itself :D
So instead, go celebrate the return of our Mordor lord. The T to the O to the amazing G! (Yes, that's Tearofgrace for you folks at the back, who somehow still keep missing this and think either I don't know or am however trying to "get away" with something under the radar). Other than that. I hope you enjoy this satire story of shameless knock-off as it revels in the ripping! :D That said I didn't want to steal the WHOLE style (e.g. bad joke cutaways, screams etc.) - the older more sedate (but still dramatic) SoM-era style was the aim. Plus there's a growing amount of "me" in here as time goes by since, well, we're different dudes.
TLDR; cut a guy some slack eh? :)

Lucky you! You got a White Hand! First time I played Shadow of War I found him early on in that region where you meet Shelob. Unfortunately the first time I sent him into a mission, five other captains showed up to join in against him and me... and despite my best efforts he died before I did. He tend came back from the dead with ironwill with a grudge against me so I had to put him down.
Couldn't you have just shamed him to remove that iron will, though?

I had forgotton how funky the game balance was on release, to try and force you to buy lootboxes.
Also, I thought video footage was massive in terms of storage needs. I'm just surprised that you've hung onto the footage for so long.
It's still good footage, and a great series.
A lot depends on internals like codec and formatting things. E.g hours of fraps is uncompressed avi so it’s MASSIVE. Shadowplay hours are large, but not as large, other softwares other sizes due to the codecs and compressions they use.
Afraid that’s the best explanation I can give.

You shamed Rash because he was "An embarrassment", but you sent Maku the Terminator after him. WHO WAS 19 LEVELS HIGHER THAN HIM. It was far from a fair fight.
The fight pits have proven over and over, level means little. I’ve lost dudes with a 20lv and epic advantage before. If they’re up for terminator trial and can’t stand at least a few seconds, they ain’t worth

If you delete your savefile and start a new game without restarting the game bugs like this will happen where game will act like you are over shadow wars

SPOILER ALERT!::
After you done with the story and sertain character leaves the game, game then blocks all speeches done by him. If you get to that level and delete your save file and start a new one right after, game does not reset those settings if you did not restarted the game. There for you can encounter stuff like bruz invading you in a brand new game play at act 1 or celebrimbor being quiet all the time.
While I write this I realized your case is actually not this one and its a whole different problem, well.. Thanks for joining my ted talk anyway.. I love your edits btw!
Hey Ed if this game is on steam try verifying the files sometime when a game bugs out for me that fixes it.
This footage is from way back when, before Monolith/WB actually, y'know, *fixed* anything. If I'm right, then this episode is a 2018 vintage.

Ditched OEM since the character hadn’t been used in about 3.5 years, was branding deadweight and a persistent reminder of the toxic state of mind I was in when he originated and why.
Plus with the UK continuing to behave as it has since 2016. Wearing ENGLISH loudly quite rightly shuns a lotta folk away because of association with the xenophobe morons we’ve become in mass media. People like SpiffingBrit can dodge that as he’s already established but smallfry it’s easier to pre judge without researching, as many were with me. Edit:Ed is easier to pun on for branding, holds up that editing is a focus rather than english…ness that I long since stopped anyway, and puts the human angle back into it letting me be myself.
An example though less drastic, book reviewer Dominic Noble’s recent switch to said name from previously being “The Dom”. Good pun, but even lil bits like name, avatar etc can surprisingly limit you to browsing consumers in an online world this saturated.

One Could play the game in tryhard. Arkham combat isn’t exactly difficult lol, but Nemesis system just falls over and shits if you do that. Weirdly after two games now, they haven’t designed a system to get around you almost having to Choose to play flawed in order to get the most interesting stuff out of it.
Then I must have the most interesting follower with the systems flaws, I say this cause I somehow got an uruk with an olog in em, do not take that out of context.
@@EditEdward It also feels like they kinda went a step back on the Nemesis system - most uruks in the first game tended to be more... randomised, if you know what I mean.
SoW works a lot with archetypes, i.e. you have a bunch of guys you will run into virtually every single game.

Yeah you’re just unlucky mate, sane to insane is like a 25% ish from experience. Has to be since it’s the main mechanic of leveling them down. Maniac (the dream in some cases) is like 5%

The ones that seem to get recruited are the ones that apear for less than a minute and dont get the full "I want to recruit that guy" Quote. I'm probably just out of the mindset for this type of comedy
It’s not a bit, it’s just changing your mind from seeing someone on paper to seeing them in combat.
Rash eg sucked when he showed up despite being legend on paper, shamed. Wyrm both looked good and didn’t suck, recruited. White hand just looked good, recruit. Scorpion I would’ve taken but he sudden died from way more hp than I thought woulda killed him. Chatty Olog was cool but a threat and has a blood brother, ergo likely to betray, kill. And so it goes on.
As I even say in the video, I liked the ragtag band with a lotta personality feel of SoM. SoW just expects you to brand everyone you see because you can always buff them with box rewards.
