At any rate since this isn't a 'kill everything' mission (the 'Neutralize all Enemy Hostiles' objective is conspicuously absent) and just a point A to B mission, it's a hell of a lot easier compared to the other ones. Totally expected modded run shenanigans like the control room being jam-packed with goons by this point, but sheer stupid luck seems to always get by.
I eagerly await whatever fustercluck the marathon of a final mission is gonna be.
Annoyingly some missions do come out of nowhere with "clear hostiles" after doing the objective - and given I've never beaten the game (heck you can even see me pop the achievement for getting the gate in the prev episode) - it's rough times lol
That bridge took more punishment than me as a kid, and still stood standing.

Sometimes I have been known to attempt stealth.
Never said I was successful, because of bull like getting tonguepulled into a clowncar building and then panicked.
But I have been known to ATTEMPT it.
This stuff reminds me of my runs. Not QUITE as insane as yours, OEM, but they did get pretty nuts at times. They're chronicled here on UA-cam if you're interested in seeing someone else doing some of thus stuff.
Now let's see if your final missions were anywhere near as nuts as mine.

30:00 the sectopods are missing because the advent burger he ate gave him a 48 dodge buff. Along with a couple of other buffs and some healing.
Edit: it was +5 will.
Dodge does not affect misses. Dodge is a kind of “graze” roll going by Vipers. Taking damage still, just greatly reduced. Defense is miss V hit to my knowledge.

Thought that became apparent in the ending scene. The way the voice speaks directly to "Eddie", the familarity, the OEM Logo replacing ADVENT. And come on, the OEM Persona has been "reduced" but not truly forgotten over the last few years. Now it wishes to rise to prominence once more. Violently. Quite a Villain in the making, now we see if the Commander gets haunted by ghosts of the past or pulls out some real ghost bustin'! right?

Finally got to the ending. Wow. Well. Just one thing.... of *all* the realities, you want THIS one? *THIS* one? The one that's about to collapse any second under itself and is only kept together by restarts and 6fps? Well, good on you mate, because you're now in the final mission, and after a mission like that... well, I have no clue how this will end, but it'll be a cinematic blockbuster, that's for sure.
Precisely BECAUSE it's a mess.
This reality's code is weakened by the war, and it was never that stable to begin with - Damage has been scratching at the walls for a long time, the walls here were fragile enough with a bit of help from Ed & XCOM's desperate attempts to keep up with ADVENT.
Everyone's gotta start somewhere :)

Edit, a few weeks later: Y'know, I like the detail with the ADVENT Officer in the ending sequence's uniform fading to black - since you'd already recorded the final mission prior to editing this, you already knew about the "Glitchwoken Defectors" in the next mission, so that small little detail is a nice setup for them.

After many ups and downs this bloody war is coming to it's end. Thanks to you and Seth I was able to fall in love with this franchise so when you go and take the game well beyond what a standard playthrough would do it just makes me love the extra work you put in all the more.
Oh I am looking forward to this, my most recent run has led to some insanity at the moment. Having so many chosen type weapons and stuff is bloody fun, well not for advent but that's why we have hive and other faction mods XD
The ending brought a tear to my eye...Not of joy, or sadness...But content that this story is complete...for now

About orange globe at 25:00 : I think it's some kind of "Burger_beacon" (Just like the nearby "Unification beacon" you supposed to destroy) which control and amplify all units of "B.U.R.G.E.R." project (Advent's plan "B" on case if psyonic domination will not work on humanity). It exlplains mission's importance and why advent burger workers communicated with and helped Commander: they tried to distract our attention, hoped XCOM will destroy unification beacon, not trying to hurt the burger beacon (but X4 charges blew up everything and Commander outplayed both of Advent's plans)

Last time I did the network tower assault, I sneaked a Ranger with Shadow, Run and Gun and Icarus Armour up to the front of the network building. One Icarus Jump brought him within sight of the transmitter. It alerted an Andromedon, but it was out of range. It made a full move towards the Ranger, however, one Run and Gun was enough to sabotage the transmitter and end the section, without a scratch on my squad.

@@EditEdward During that campaign, my main Sniper's Advance Repeater kicked in only three times, and totally changed my tactics: once with a Codex, once with a Sectopod and once with the Berserker Queen. In the latter case, it was an Overwatch shot, just after I'd said, "Oh, shit."

The lanky bois were from a (currently deleted) mod called Nightmares, they also make an appearance during the Chosen fortress assault.

Those are the main specs that people concern with. But fun fact, XCOM 2 is *SO.* *VERY.* *BADLY.* *OPTIMISED.* that none of those made any difference. It runs exactly the same as when I had a processor from 2014, my GTX 1070, and 16GB RAM about halfway (ish?) through the series.
The only way I can make this thing run at all is running it on such low graphics settings in some places that I've had to dig in the deepcode (with guides) and gut out some parts of the lighting and collision detection

2) Already did DD long ago, hence its mention here. It was the first game OEM played (not to say can’t do it again tho) and
3) the biggest. There’s no functional mod loader / organiser I’m aware of. Connexus doesn’t work and the discord one often advertised doesn’t appear to actually exist

@@EditEdward i even thought to dig through my ini files pertaining to the strategy aspect of the game to see of there is a way to mitigate that annoying movement overshoot glitch. I got it to work a bit, but whenever my fps drops to below 30 there is at least 45% chance that a move would overshoot. Its not really a problem but it hampers strategies and can cause confusion. From what i understand, those overshoots doesnt mean your actual pawn wasnt in cover.

@@EditEdward OH!! Thanks!! i was experimenting a framerate issue problems on my heavy moded one (500 diferent ones between VOs, and other stuffs), and someone told me about it because the HDD i had doesn't keep up with the number of mods.
And it was odd because i literally run it on a PC with a Ryzen 7 3800x and 32GB of Ram. I thought it was the GPU (since i had a 1050ti on this thing i call PC) , but then someone said me: "it doesn't that but the number of mods loaded into the game make the HDD you had it in goes bonkers and can't keep up with them at all)
How do you do it? This shit isn't possible without losing your sanity.
