For anyone wondering, yes this is STILL from the recording batch during release week. When you start seeing Outlaw Tribes, Slaughter Tribes, #Gravewalker Difficulty etc. you'll know we're in the modern day but back then, none of those existed.
(Yeah, but real talk a mo) I know there's all likelihood to be a good chunk of people who scream "RIPOFF!" in the comments so lemme just beat y'all to the punch. I know I'm not the glorious man himself, I ain't trying to be. Doesn't change the fact I've seen people decry many a decent Shadow Of Mordor video for being a knock-off even when they weren't trying to be. Thus, I, another English shouty (admittedly less graphic-ish) bloke looking to experiment with edited content knew I was going to get a smack with that old hammer too. So why fight it? There was no way to pass this up, but to do the joke properly I had to embrace the knockoff and help Tallioon to his true destiny! To be, THE DISCOUNT RANGER! Congrats! You're a wraith, banished from death! But someone else has already been owning that gig for years, now what? And the narrative just writes itself :D
So instead, go celebrate the return of our Mordor lord. The T to the O to the amazing G! (Yes, that's Tearofgrace for you folks at the back, who somehow still keep missing this and think either I don't know or am however trying to "get away" with something under the radar). Other than that. I hope you enjoy this satire story of shameless knock-off as it revels in the ripping! :D That said I didn't want to steal the WHOLE style (e.g. bad joke cutaways, screams etc.) - the older more sedate (but still dramatic) SoM-era style was the aim. Plus there's a growing amount of "me" in here as time goes by since, well, we're different dudes.
TLDR; cut a guy some slack eh? :)

I love Krimp and how he reliably manages to make Ed crack up at the most random of times.
I cut out quite I rant I went on in a later episode about Krimp, because I’d found people hating on “The Agoniser” online for being “too normal” and “not trying” etc. Whereas I think quite the opposite. The existence of Uruk that sound like THAT makes them as a whole feel way more real to me as a species and collective. They aren’t ALL gonna be Steve Blums and Travis Willinghams etc. Just like how already in Nemesis system they aren’t all badass archetypes. Some just scream “TASTY!” as their entire dialogue and it’s awesome

The most standard way to have grog is in orc taverns, which is a nice way of saying camps that have been permitted by the Judges. Homebrewing is illegal unless you are a warchief or overlord, then the judges would sent executioners after you. Grog usage is permitted when feasts of any kind are held. Grog is made by the Grog-Makers and Brewers, these are highly respected amongst the orc society. There are drinking cults called the revelers who have grog usage allowed by grog sellers or warchiefs. Grog Tax has been removed in 2760 T.A

Are you playing on Super-hard with un-upgraded gear?
Also I think you forgot a lot of your moves. There's a couple of combo finishers, including a drain finisher that instantly kills almost anything and fully heals you.
I’m on nemesis, the top at the time.
Gear is upgraded. They just hit really hard back then before balances.
Drains need (or needed) might bars at the time and I rarely have might from getting clocked a lot

I mean yeah. Once I’d done episode 1 (originally meant to be a one-off joke) I sat and recorded MOST OF THE GAME in the idea I could edit faster and stay ahead of the man himself.

Bruh why copy tear of grace. Tear of grace is horrible.
Because long long ago a small but loud pocket of his fans kept popping up and giving me shit for being "the same" and "a thief" when I WASN'T emulating him direct. I was just playing DS3 with no edits and stupid OTT voice but we happened to be at the same point ingame. Thought they'd go with time, they didn't and stuck around for months to a year no matter the vid.
One day, decided to give them all something to *really* complain about as a "heat sink" to stop cluttering the place up. Just as a one-off video for laughs at their expense that they'd be screaming "thief" when yes, that's the entire joke neon signposted yet still they missed it to "discover" me "trying to get away with it".
Then in doing so I accidentally found it kind of fun to make, not from commentary (as I'm not him so it don't come natural) but because MAKING it was teaching me a lot about editing and highlight-storytelling.
Started to grow my own jokes and generally learned to get outta my comfort zone (see: X-MBR and whatnot) because challenge & change is important sometimes to prevent stagnation. Found a style over the course of X & streaming that I really like being. It's not ToG, not Seth, Spiff, Caddy, Yahtzee, TurboOwl, Crystahhl, Jesse Cox, TB etc. etc. Not any of the other people who've been part of the learning. It's the bits of them I like turned into a blend that's me.
So why keep going with SoW:TDR which by definition CAN'T use that identity? Well, I started the bit so by god I'll finish it. Yes by now it feels actively strange to be playing "as" someone else, but it's the character for the sketch, so I'll see it through lol. "If you do the bit, you must commit!" - At this point that is the entire reason.
There's no shame in shamelessness copying shameless parody. Being shameless, by definition, implies no shame.
