  • This vegan wonton soup is so cozy and delicious. These parcels are packed with vegetables and served in a tasty clear soup flavored with seaweed. It's a perfect soup for any weather.

    Ingredients
    30 wonton wrapper
    3 cups [200g] chopped cabbage
    2 large dried Shiitake mushrooms reconstituted
    ½ cup chopped carrots
    3 oz firm tofu
    ¼ teaspoon mushrooms or umami seasoning
    ½ tablespoon vegan oyster sauce
    salt and white pepper to taste
    cooking oil
    Soup
    1 cup chopped bok choy or Yuchoy
    a handful of seaweed pieces
    3 cups of water or vegetable stock
    ½ teaspoon of salt* plus more to taste
    ¼ teaspoon mushrooms seasoning
    a dash of white pepper
    a drizzle of shallot oil or toasted sesame oil plus more to taste
    Garnish
    chopped scallions or cilantro
    a handful of fried shallots
    chopped Thai chile in soy sauce

    I’ve made a number of your recipes & you’re literally my favorite creator. I recently had major surgery, which is keeping me out of the kitchen, but I can’t wait to make up for lost time! - (I hope you are also happy & self caring.     Just made my own, was EXTREMELY tasty and flavorful. Added some minced garlic and ginger which made it extra tasty. Highly recommend and thank you for this lovely recipe!

    Hello ! I’m from India & I found your channel yesterday. I’ve been watching all the videos since then. All the dishes look so yummy 🤤 Will probably try to make panang curry tomorrow. I wanted to make wontons but we don’t get wrappers here in the supermarket.
    Can you please please post an easy recipe where we can learn how to make the wonton dough with simple ingredients which can be easily found in any country. Since we don’t get wheat starch & stuff so easily available here.

      It's called Lee Kum Kee Vegetarian Stir-Fry sauce. Some brands market it as mushroom flavored sauce as well. Please adjust the taste accordingly.

    Nice but same problem as always with veggie wontons, there is no chewiness and the ingredients are not solidified together like the meet version. The texture just isn't the same

      Have you tried adding tvp? It helps with the texture.
