Ingredients:
30 wonton wrappers
2 cups chopped cabbage
2 dried Shiitake mushrooms, softened
½ cup chopped carrots
3 oz firm tofu
¼ teaspoon mushrooms or umami seasoning
salt and white pepper to taste
sesame oil
Sauce (enough for 15-20 small wontons)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons black vinegar
2 tablespoons chili oil
a drizzle of sesame oil
a few shakes of white pepper
½ cup vegetable broth or water heated
Garnish
chopped scallions or cilantro
toasted sesame seeds

Hey there, good question, I actually ate it as meal, not with anything else. :-) It has good amount of veggies, protein, and mushrooms. But, you can always treat them as snack too.

I haven't tried it yet but I made my own dumpling wrapper. I need to get a bigger pastry board for me to roll it out. lol.

oh wow, this looks beautiful. I'm a bit afraid to make wontons as it looks like it's something where you need a lot of practice or the result will be just awful (already went through vegan gyoza horror:))). But this is very tempting, worth trying.
many thanks. As long as you are able to seal the openings together, that's a great start. Then you can slowly make pleats as you are comfortable with it. :-) I'm sure you can do it!

I don't have dried shiitake mushroom can I use fresh button mushrooms instead ?
sure, but be sure to sauté them first and then drain out the liquid so the filling is moist and not mushy. thanks!

The only kind wonton wrapers i can find contains egg :'(
oooh, if you are near Hmart, they have a few variety that don't have egg in it. If you don't have one near you, you can always use dumpling wrapper.
