I have actually seen live a largemouth bass eat a baby duckling. They were swimming along the bank in this real small Artesian well fed pond when Wham a giant hit one less duckling. About a week later a neighbor caught the bass estimated at 10 lb. It was a monster. I know small bass will hit big bait sometimes but it's going to take a huge one to eat that giant bait. As always I enjoyed the footage of you setting the hook and I really like this series of pick my bait. Keep the cool content coming!
I saw one try to eat a duck one time out there but the duck was too big and got away. May have to break it out and try it again one day it would be fun to catch something on it
Some of those lures catch more fisherman than they do fish. I have that Savage gear bat and I have thrown it a bunch, no takers tho. It hits the water with such a thud! Probably scares everything away. But, that being said, I have seen ducks here go missing from the top of the water. I think it's turtles tho, more than bass. But who knows. Fun series!
I feel like the 4 inch black and white one would be a lot better in that pond. The way they were biting that day I feel like I definitely should have caught one on it. You didn't see all the ones I missed🤣
I like that fact you can fish it slow! Funny you casted your line off 😂. I’ve thought about getting one of these ducks for Muskie fishing. You had a hit on it 👍 Funny because I try different lures here and there and say to myself I’m fishing this thing all day no matter what. As you know….time passes by and I always end up going back to my go to baits 😆 nice to see you got on the bass then. That last one looked more then 2lbs!!!
That duck bait was bigger than a lot of fish i catch. Haha. I want to see the fish that can get that whole thing in its mouth. Nice job switching it up just to catch a few.

Big bates are tough unless you have some very aggressive bass. I have seen smallmouth go after those bigger top-water lures. Great video though, tight lines.
Funny thing was is there was a duck swimming around the pond and they kept attacking it. It was too big for them to eat it but I guess you can't beat the real thing

Nice day out there, I have seen those ducks- figured it was more gimmick than lure, but I can see where a large bass would hit it.
