I assure you the uploads will start to get more frequent over the coming weeks. I have tried to get out course fishing over the last couple weeks, but its been really tricky due to certain fish species spawning and crystal clear waters making it difficult. Coming up I have plans for a tench video, trout video and canal carp video, so I'm going to be grafting to make those over the next couple weeks. For now you can enjoy this action packed topwater pike session! If you want to keep up to date with up and coming videos feel free to follow my instagram in the description where I post several times a week!
That has got to be the best Strike footage that i have ever seen, i was holding my breath before it took the Frog & the fight was epic (hope you found your net) All the best.
Great vid as ever Chris! @bald vale I think you can appreciate this strike as well ua-cam.com/users/shortslmG87t_6-Mk (NDYakAngler, great guy with GREAT footage)
It's so sad that we have to live with thieves, I just hope it wasn't another angler, I would of left it at the wall of the towpath and then if I didn't come across any other angler's I probably would of asked on Chris's page and hope that someone claims it, what would the be the chances of it being Chris's ,hmm. Probably wouldn't of got back to the owner but it would make me feel better. God I hate thieves💩.🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️

@@J03130absolutely finders keepers. People leave all sorts of gear especially near the sea side. Got myself a full beach caster setup after I watched a tourist family leave it and drive off. Helps when you’ve not got a lot of money. I even root through the bins of the local tackle shop. Found a good few rods that way just needing a few new eyes etc.😊
That last one was a beauty. I moved from England to Australia 20 years ago - this is something that cannot be beaten. Nothing better than what you are doing. Love the river, the scenery and above all the pike! Thanks.
Oh man - totally loved this video. I'm definitely going to get some frogs and try them. Was also nice to see a fellow angler using baitcaster for lure fishing. Congrats on landing that big pike at the end, that was a really nice fish.
Good morning Chris! The smile on your fizzog gave the earlier hours action away! Magnificent fish off the top t'wards the end! All are stunning captures regardless of size obtained!👏👏👏 VBW x
i've watched your video a couple of times and although i do spin for pike i've never tried the floating frog, so i bought a couple to try them and headed out today on a scottish highland loch with my pal 2 hours from home, we started off on deadbaits for 3 hours but it was'nt happening today so we got the spinning rods set up and both thought we'd give the frogs a go out of curiosity, without exaggerating we both had easily 50 takes each, fish on, fish lost and smashes in an 8 hours session, we only landed 4 each but our excitement levels were sky high, what a fantastic way to fish for pike! most of the takes came fairly close in or in 3-4ft of weedy water, absolutely fantastic fun with some really savage takes, some gentle takes and loads of big wakes coming to the frog, my best fish was around the 14lb mark but what a great fight, we could'nt believe the amount of times we bent into a fish only for them to throw the hook! i would recommend this method to anyone thinking of trying it, i got a couple of nice photos of the good fish which had a full stomach, i wish i could've posted a photo on here for you to see it!
Oi Chris can I just say I love your channel and your content, I can really see the passion in your eyes when explaining anything fishing hats off to you sir 🎩 keep it up ❤️
You got me into lure and frog fishing - had identical scenario to you last week, chasing jacks on an abandoned old lake by my home and got smashed by a lump that was too big to go in my net. After a fight I got it close enough to chin- measured against the landing net & pole it was 1.3m so a tidy mid double - thankfully didn’t need to wade 😁 So exhilarating on light gear - thanks for all your inspiration 👍
Same here hooked something in my local lake on a small 5cm lure. Had it on for 15 mins and never even saw it! Stripped about 60 yards of line off. I was thinking oh god this will be to big for the net as a 15lb didn't leave much room the day before
@@tcg1_qc - owned by a club 20yrs ago & full of specimen carp, tench, bream, pike, etc. Land sold to a brewery and lake sold to a private company. Neither did anything with it (tax relief fiddle) so it silted up, trees and reeds grew uncontrolled, loads of people trespassed and stole huge numbers of fish. Now if you fight your way to the odd clear patch you can still find odd gems but it’s really tough and there aren’t many fish left. It’s really sad to see.
Hi Chris. Another tip regarding top water frogs, which you may know already, but anyway, something I learned watching the American bass fishing videos, is that it's possible to soften, or 'soften up' as they say, frog lures by popping them into a pan of just off the boil water for a minute or so. It does work (and with those tougher soft plastic of most types too) and I find I don't have to widen the hooks so much as it's easier for the fish to bite down on them. Any problems blame The Yanks, I'm just the messenger. Regards. Raymondo.
Love that kind of fishing, summer pike on top water with light gear, best way to catch pike! Caught a real big one last summer on a frog with me perch rod, a bit larger than that one I reckon, though not quite 20 lbs. Proper drama! Now Im itching to go out too.
Watching that pike rip away like that gave me chills. Two weeks ago I had a stripped bass whip the business end of a crank into my hand so I had some flash backs lol
Man You get some of the luckiest shots on the camera. I am astonished. Simply amazing videography. "Its a beast" I say the same thing when catch a lunker lol. Cheers!
Sweet session mate. Loved the close shot of the pike watching then nailing the frog. Might have twisted my leg to take my frogs out this weekend lol. Look forward to the next one 👌 💪 🐊
Great short film of man versus beast .love the way you just get on and do what you have to do ie shoes off and get in and sort it .can I ask you what make are your polarised glasses, keep them coming please
Bonjour de France, encore une belle vidéo, avec votre style bien à vous, une vraie signature. Toujours un bon moment. Ne jamais aller à la pêche sans au minimum des bottes! Merci pour ces efforts.
I love pike fishing.I remember when i was a boy, a pike got into the park pond, and ate up all the goldfish, then turned on the ducks, it was a massive thing, and to the best of my knowledge, was never caught.
What an awesome fight! Already looking forward to your next video. Next week I'll start pike fishing again (closed season in the Netherlands now) and will definitally use a frog as well. PS: hope you found your net.. Cheers, Christian
Well done in landing that lovey pike. I love using frog baits . Unfortunately there is no summer pike fishing allowed in my area. Love the videos keep them coming. David B, Chichester West Sussex

Great vids mate, I use a frog on the Forth and Clyde canal near Kirkintilloch Glasgow. Plenty of success as its weedy and these justlaugh at weed. Warm summers evening... Relentless
Hello Chris which rod an reel /line do you use? I never used a baitcaster setup but I would like to change to a baitcaster system. Thanks for your reply.

Just such a joy watching your videos, the time you spend to set up those shots you get is a natural skill on top of your fishing experties.
That was great " man against fish " enjoyed that nearly as much as you did. Best fishing on the net keep up the good work!
Best top water take I've seen brilliantly caught on camera.
