He's the Bob Ross of fishing. He even has happy little trees in the background.
Bob Ross liked fishing
You mean happy little fish 😉
Clever
Literally went to the comments to say this. Holy shit, he really is.
@@Towner101 There are no mistakes. Just happy accidents.
Catches more fish with a duck than ive caught all year with every lure.
Is it not motivating and frustrating at the same time watching this.. I feel your pain.. I grind so hard and only pull in pan fish or nothing at all bass under 2 pounds I’m counting as pan fish…like GD this man gives me hope, btw shouts out to MN whooo whoop!
You need to fish rivers and lakes, not your bath tub
Its where he fishes, thats why... hes casting and retreiving a lure, thats it...they will either bite it or they wont...he has PLENTY of days where he catches little to nothing im sure.. its not like hes going to show a bunch of videos of catching nothing... also having a kayak and actually being on the water instead of shore makes a huge difference... and hes also out there for several hours if not half or the whole day... i sure hope people dont think he was out there for only 14mins and 20secs lol
Yea for sure. Kayak is definitely my next move fishing the entire shore walking is rough. I mean it was a little exaggeration but if I catch even 1 bass every 3 trips I’m pumped lol.
@@Mr76K1976 facts, well said.💯🪱🐟
anyone telling @NDYakAngler what speed or how to fish isn't much of a fisherman... I've logged 1000's of hours for bass alone. This dude is the real deal! Don't question it!! tell me i'm wrong... go!
I've had other BPM baits ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!
You are the one fishing channel I can watch. You show your appreciation for the fish without screaming about it for 15 minutes and having the fish out of the water till it’s bone dry. In short, you my friend are a creator of quality.
Yes this exactly
Your videos are great on their own, but they're perhaps even better as a respite from the contrived "enthusiasm" displayed on so many other fishing UA-cam channels.
Well said
Yeah that gets obnoxious. I understand getting excited over a monster fish but I don't ever remember screaming my head off when hooking a big one. Usually just say to myself "oh shit oh shit oh shit."
Every bass fisherman's dream. A lake full of 5 pounders that will bite random animal lures.
It's what a healthy low-pressure fishery looks like. I bet these big southern reservoirs like Chickamauga, Table Rock, and Lake Fork see more fisherman in a week than a place like this sees all year.
@@nameeman1562 even a day
@@nameeman1562 I have a cabin on 200 acre private lake in MN and the bass won't touch a a whopper plopper or buzzbait, let alone the Savage Duck!
find ponds with no public access and drag a jon boat through the woods to it, they're always the best
@@czykrepublic4323 everything will eat a green trick worm 🤷♂️
The sound of the cast is so satisfying!
What type of reel is it do you know. The rod is a Bass X.
@@longcb1 Shimano Slx DC 150 HG
I bought the reel yesterday, $189 and worth every penny. I watched ppl fishing with it for a week and sold myself. Try it
The DC sound is annoying imo
I love you Matt!! I hope you and your daughter and wife are doing well. Nothing but love from Colorado, and as always I am so grateful for your peaceful and insightful nature. Truly you are the person I have learned the most from!!
Please take care,
Tyler
I think it's funny that people try to tell Matt how to catch fish!! (you need to slow your retrieve) This dude just casts the lure into their mouths! When you start doing that consistently, then, and only then should anyone be telling him how to catch fish. LMAO.
I think when Matt drives up in his truck to where he will put his kayak in the water, all the fish already waiting excitedly and wait their turn to get on Matt's line! They tell their friends: "Hey, Matt's here! Let's go have some fun and take a ride on his fishing line!"
Totally agree
The fish you catch are fortunate,as you handle them gently and with dignity, thank you for that, from Massachusetts…
Always a good morning when you wake up to a video you can watch while you poop! 😂😂
Yep
Yee yee
When I see someone catch as many fish as you do I'll take the retrieval advice. Until then you are the fishing master! You make it look easy and tons of fun. Great videos. Thank you.
I just needed to comment and say that I love your videos, they're so calming and relaxing, I've seen all of them and every time I see you upload makes my day infinity better. So thank you, I hope yo continue to do these for as long as you want.
Lina Alevi
Man you absolutely inspired me to go fishing this summer as much as I could. I've caught dozens of bass and blue gill at my local pond and enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for being such a cool fisher bro and giving the rest of us the inspiration to follow in your footsteps
He does have a very "calming voice" about him. Which is nice.
I have fished before, I like it but don't love it and don't go regularly,... But watching this channel I can see why people love it and appreciate it more. You got yourself a subscriber.
Get in my net!” Best NLP approved comment when reeling in a hog. Love how positive and calm, although obviously enthralled in life, great content. Thx for posting and all the hard work.
I really like these types of lures, they're very unique!
I agree. i love watching his vids!
The Huckleberry?! Do you like your silent buff with the infinite ammo change?
I love the videos where he's running something strange
infinite ammo? the ammo is infinite times infinite! :D
Before the video played, a tampon commercial came on, it gave me an idea for a lure for Matt to try.
It’s the presentation of each fish that makes this guy so great
I love this fishing video whit you Matt , always nice to look 👍 hallo from Sweden 🇸🇪
Beautiful scenery, looks like you're fishing in a postcard. Nice!
i want to fish in a postcard some day
I could re-watch all your topwater videos and will never get bored of them. I've never caught fish on topwater until this year, now its all I'm catching fish on. Thanks a bunch, although they are not tutorials, I'm learning from your videos. Keep up the awesome work!
His voice is so calming though doesent talk fast and confuse no large dubstep intro. Keep up the good work. Love from Canada
Yes ,the Bob Ross ,hes so calm n chilled out even wen he hooks on ,calm!Great angler i must say,i bingewatch and go to sleep to NDYak Angler
I love how that duck lure just looks way too big…. until you see it dwarfed inside a largemouth’s gaping mouth, lol
It’s way to small, open up a bass mouth all the way and add a few inches to that and that’s how big a bass will attack
Damm I need to get out and fish. Thanks for sharing this with us. Would love to get out with you sometime.
if i close my eyes and listen i hear fred rogers with a mix of bob ross lol rock on love the channel
Dude it's crazy how regularly bass eat baby ducks!!! Absolute monstas all thru this video 🤘🤘💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
the whole approach to this show feels like a PBS special from back in the day.
Always entertaining to watch your adventures! Ty for sharing!
As I sit here watching this video, knowing that spring is coming... it's like taking a valium, just hearing the "Whip Zzzzzzzzz.... of the bait caster. I'm smiling over the anticipation, but relaxed, knowing all good things open water are on their way. Just need a few more weeks!
The best part is you are alone out there, or certainly not many others if any. Nice video.
Well my day is taking a 15 minute pause, the greatest uploaded.
Absolutely love this guys channel ,hes a dam good Angler, but wat draws me in is that clear clean water he fishes where u can visibly see the fish swimming around and to his baits
These are some of my favorite fishing videos, I like these lures you come up with. Great content, have a good day
I bought a kayak because of you and wanted to say thanks. Thanks
Great video once again, thanks Matt. I wish more people made videos like you do. No blasting music, no annoying person going nuts when they catch a fish, no freaking out, just cool calm content.
After the week I’ve had, this video popping up was a sheer pleasure. Thank you.
September is the month that I like the most for bass. If in addition to that you have an overcast calm day (even better with some occasional light rain) and you are alone in a lake with plenty of nice good sized largies attacking your top water lures then my dear friend you are in Heaven or very close to it. A fishing trip that you ´ll remember during the winter days. The light and the colours and sounds (deer mating season) of the early fall give Nature an unmatched beauty and a somewhat melancholic touch. It is the second time I watch this gorgeous video of yours and I enjoyed it as much as in the first one.
That river is so calm and relaxing. Awesome fish too!
I love the sound of your cast.
Such an awesome setting. Clear water, lush weed beds, and big bass . All alone, can't beat that. Great video !!!
BEYOND pumped you started a merch page. Love to support creators such as yourself. Amazing work as always!
The sound your rig makes on cast is so pleasent
By far my favorite UA-cam fisherman! He fishes the most peaceful looking places..really makes me want to head north in Michigan and fish lakes like this!
Love the sound of that line singing! Thanks for the great, quality content! You've inspired me to get a kayak, as soon as I can afford one.
love this guys channel! hes straight to fishing, no intro. 100% just fishing 😎
I hadn't even noticed why I liked the videos, but I definitely think not having a 5 minute intro makes it better.
Another great day! No one out on a beautiful lake. I love the way your fish always swim off strong. You’re the king of these novelty-type baits and I think it’s presentation as much as lure choice. Wonderful day on the water!
That ducky is lucky! And I'm sure you heard this plenty times already, but you make very peaceful and soothing fishing videos, thank you! Minnesota looks beautiful! God Bless our country 🇺🇸 Bless The LORD.
It's like being there with you... very relaxing. Keep doing it!
Any day on the lake or river with you is a good day!!!
Looks like an awesome lake. Quality fish. Hearing that reel buzzing on every cast soothing sounds. Cheers from North Bay Ontario
I agree. I just got into bait casters myself and many are silent. But some sound great when you cast. When I took my 80yr old dad out a few weeks ago he was still using his spinning rod. He saw me cast that Whopper Plopper across the river and said "whoah! That thing really casts!" It's been great showing some new techniques I learned from others. And he's still learning. Inspires me to never not be learning.
I thought about doing a video of me using mine the first time. Glad I didn't that would have been a swear infected clip. However I am slowly getting better.
Enjoy your videos immensely, so relaxing to watch and learn also.
Beautiful strikes!! Equally nice video, thanks for having us along!!
Well this lure has gotten me so quackers over fishing, that I just hope that the bill is not going to be too much. LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for sharing n uploading these clips. I saw the last duck lure video, you were amazing luring that pike in so close to you before letting it bite. Please keep posting.
Your #1 of all bass/fishing i watch. Thanks
I love how he just stays calm while reeling the fish and keeps talking lol
Gorgeous looking bass, great work and thanks for sharing!
Still my favorite fishing channel. If I could have 1/4 the success on top water I’d be a happy man.
Literally shook my head while watching at 4:20 . How some of those bass strikes can happen that fast blows my mind.
It's nice change, from other anglers who shout all the time. Keep it up dude
I like the noise the bait caster makes each time you cast
The Duck Plopper is a Hog magnet 🧲😳
i can watch this guy all day long
I don't know why, but I love that shirt. I want one. Awesome job with the duck.
Marketing 101: The dog doesn’t care if the kibble is shaped like bones, and the fish doesn’t care if the hatchling sized lure has adult mallard plumage.
So funny. I kept hearing Dwight Schrute in my head say "Mallard" in a condescending voice every time he said "Duck lure"
Man the water u fish in is so nice , never see anything els or hear anything close of human activity , its like a fishersman dream👍
Those are definitely the days you dream of. Not that everytime I watch one of your videos doesn't seem to be one of those days, 4 pound average is hard to do
If I ever got sick and was doing make a wish I would literally meet this man and just wanna go fishing with him for a day🙏
Awesome video like usual! Thank you for sharing your experience.
I really enjoy these fishing videos. Thanks
I could watch this video over and over and it just gets more interesting and better each time
My mouth was watering after seeing that first bass you caught! Beautiful!
most fun fishing youtuber to watch straight to the point and no crazy stuff keep, up the good work
Nice video Matt, I wouldn’t worry to much about your technique , because your results are incredible. Stay safe
As long as you're catching fish at the rate you're catching them, don't worry about your retrieve, it's obviously working...
never really care for fishing show back in the day but this is good.
The lakes and rivers he fishes are so pretty with clear water.
I don't have much experience with fishing, but it still amazes me how still the fish get once you pick them up.
baked af off edibles got my coffee about to watch this dude crush em
American dream brother 🤘🤘
Wake and bake my friend. 👍
A Thursday upload from the legend? I can dig it
I love the sound of that cast
This channel should be called cast master
Wow that was like a hole in one with that first Bass. Awesome!
I been missing your videos for almost a year now but I found u so I gotta lot to catch on now,,looks like u still killing them n I order a duck, can’t wait to try it,,Thanks!!
That cast sound at 5:59 was glorious.
I just love your videos. I bought a kayak about twi months ago, and crusing UA-cam for information and ideas, I found you.
Until this year I have a "boat" but with plans of being a fulltime RVer in a couple years, I wanted a vessel to bring along.
Would love to meet you , when I retire, and woould be glad to pay you for a guided trip.
Keep on rippin lip.
This guy is the best fishing guy to watch on UA-cam no doubt!
2:50 "Alot of times I'll get people saying you're fishing lures way too fast and whatnot"
Imagine being the guy trying to tell the guy you're watching catch 30+ with a duck lure how to fish 🤣
I would have never thought to throw a duck lure but now after watching I definetly understand why!
These are really great videos. You have some serious skills. Love how you release the fish, super smooth! 👍
Keep doing whatever you're doing bro you catch tanks! I look forward to all your content and no matter what you do there will be critics out there. Thank you for producing awesome videos for us to learn from!
Wow really nice bass. I saw you posted this earlier this morning and I have been looking forward to watching it all day
And ur fricking calm when u catch a fish
love catching bass on top
Always save your video last for the night always amazing wish nothing but the best brother much respect from Franklin Kentucky
Beautiful big chunky fish! Fantastic! 👍
Great video! Makes my morning seeing your uploads. Love that you're dedicated to the fishing side of being a fishing youtuber.
Thanks for the show
