Could be a good excuse/ opportunity for an exotic sword modelled after the hive cleavers. Granted we have a good amount of swords already, and cleaver artifacts do drop a decent amount at the alter of sorrows and hive relating public events, so it's not nearly as likely these days we'll get a dedicated hive style sword, but it could be nice to see. Also if there is a new element, such as Soulfire, it would be somewhat appropriate. Alternatively could be a neat way for the taken style Dreadfang to come back.

My big concern with the upcoming linear fusion buff, specifically when talking about Sleeper, is that 1k exists and is also a solar weapon. As mentioned, every legendary LFR is already in competition with Sleeper, but if you want a strong exotic heavy LFR, 1k (as annoying as it is to get) is already good
I remember Sleeper being called the Gjallarhorn replacement, now with VoG coming back with no gally we'll see if Sleeper can live up to that name with this buff
I love the comment about the buff of sleeper near the end, looking back it rose to the top out of no where, with the addition of focusing lens and particle deconstruction and the addition of the debuff from divinity, sleeper became the only option, for a whole season or two. Its crazy that it final found its spot in the niche meta of precision dps.
This gun brought me my favorite time in destiny 2 during season of the worthy hunting for this weapon because I just figured out how the game really worked. Love you sleeper
The part nobody talks about: the ARG quest that led to the middle of the woods where one of the lead warmind devs left a 1:1 life size javelin replica and strange coins as well as a note was brute forced into completion after months because we didnt know the letter key to the puzzle. It was only found out during shadow keep that if you want to the warning sign by the vicarious visions dev tribute and aimed down sights with sleeper at it, the lines on the sight would perfectly underline the letters for the key. Leave it to us to brute force something that simple only to find it accidentally nearly 2 years later.
Man. I'm glad you made this video about Sleeper. In S15, Particle Deconstruction made Sleeper a valid choice for players who don't have 1KV. What journey this gun has gone thru
Dude!! You should totally make a vid about escalation protocol!!! I talk about it all the time with my friends: the reason it was so good is that it was incredibly difficult, and while it was rng, it dropped some of the best weapons in the game.

At the launch of D2 I used SS a lot and was always at the top or near the top of DPS for the boss but you did need the catalyst and good luck grinding that out
The help that Sleeper needs, imo: Increase the number of ricochet bounces (maybe not 5 like in D1 but 2-3 might be reasonable), give tracking to its refracted shots so you don't need to be a trigonometry major to get mileage out of the perk (allows it decent add clear and in a lone boss room all the refracted shots can eventually find their way back to the boss, still have refracted shots deal minor damage to players so it doesn't become the scourge of Gambit again), either a flat increase to reserves or damage output so it can at least stand together with the heavy snipers, cuz even Darci is a more compelling pick at this point, and make it a "seraph" weapon, which it basically is as far as lore is concerned, so it can be a warmind cell generator. Maybe a lot to ask, but it certainly feels like it needs it.
