In my opinion, an mmorpg looter shooter should have hard content for the most devoted players to consume, and D2 is not a good example of that system. D2 has the "grind" for the sake of grinding, and some hard activities, but they've straight up taken away the concept of the best rewards coming from those activities. Now you get emblems/shaders/poop. @@big_cheese_guy imo they went backwards. D2 should've been how d1 started with d1 being d2 seeing as how they are scrambling trying to get d2 to be like d1
@@SportySpice2004 Lost sectors? wtf? unless your talking about the ONE you have to do for 4 horseman, or the six short ones for outbreak perfected (which is ten times better than the outbreak quest of D1) I don't know what you mean. as for public events I can think of only a handful when it comes to exotics: Lumina, 4 Horseman, and rat king (I think? don't remember) and wisper does kinda trigger via public event, but your not farming the event, your just opening the portal. Now, if you meant some of the quest pinnacles you would be right, but that's mostly just this season.
I honestly like lengthy exotic missions sometimes. That being said, a lot of them seem like busy work, and that ain't fun. The exotic quest zero hour is more fun to me than grinding for multiple hours to get resources for an exotic. To each their own though.
All the exotic quests were very tedious. I loathed them at the time. But getting the black spindle, touch of malice and sleeper stimulant all were worth it.
it's because since bungie got out of the deal with activision they're on a smaller budget and have a smaller staff. Unfortunately, alot quests will have to be like this for awhile until bungie figures something out.
@Vox it's not that simple though. They'd have to find people who actually want to work for them and are qualified. That also takes time and money. That's why imo I think they're using the seasons to cop up more money until they're ready. Well just have to wait and see what happens. I'm not a genius I'm just basing this off the knowledge I know.
According to a leak source that has been correct on things before, a large amount of Bungie’s staff are working on Destiny 3 while a smaller group is covering the seasons. Unknown Player made a video on it recently.
2:43 That's a bad definition of "power creep". Power Creep is when power from abilities or weapons creeps up so high over time (through updates or expansions) that it renders earlier activities too easy. Your definition is actually the opposite of power creep.
I believe you are talking about different things. What he's referring to is reminiscent of what you see in CCGs, where a few outliers completely dominate older formats and require newer cards to be either far more powerful to the point of absurdity, or for the older cards to be rotated out. Your definition has more to do with the overall strength of characters relative to the enemies, and is also very applicable in Destiny since it's not uncommon to see bosses be killed instantly (which is a shame IMO). He does kinda missuse the word, but the point he's making is valid. I'd personally rather have rotations coupled with perks other than kill clip + outlaw.
@@123mickymouse123 I'm not sure what the point of your comment is. In order to make my point, I acknowledged his underlying message. My point is in the misuse of the term "power creep". He isn't talking about power creep. He's talking about something else. Also, in Destiny, the strength of the character is dictated by the power of weapons and ability as well as power level so power creep (the proper definition) can apply to Destiny.
Started playing destiny 1 earlier this year, and I just got touch of malice today! The quest was pure pain and misery but was 100% worth it! Such an iconic gun 👍
at least in my pov, th egun won't come out, tommy's matchbook sounds like bungie's alternative to the gun, and i love it. it's new, fresh, reminiscing touch of malice in its own way, and it's not just an old weapon brought back yay. don't get me wrong, touch of malice is great, a lot of d1 weapons are cool and nostalgic, some players want new things, we had them before... same for raids, maps, and other things. i don't want bungie to bring back anymore old weapons... (hawkmoon gets me tempted but still) bungie should make new guns, new perks, guns that feel fresh and feel differently, some of us don't want a gun that we used for a few years back then... at least imo
they can't do that since you would need a piece of oryx who we can't reach anymore. though if recent lore is anything to go by, savathun wants to bring him back
I remember back on 360 me and my other clan member got ToM the day it was available for us to grab on that reset day week due to the court of Oryx rotation. I sat in the tower with it in my back for at least 3 hours and at one point, I had about 14 people surrounding me so many people asking how I got it. ToM hit different...
This was my first raid ever completed in D1, and it’s still my favorite. The lore for this raid to even getting ToM, a weapon built from the raid bosses was second to none.
Great video, I really enjoyed it! Let me just correct you though: Power creep is "The situation where updates to a game introduce more powerful units or abilities, leaving the older ones underpowered. ", not when a weapon/ability is present in most events.
And then when the devs try to buff those otlder things which overall makes the game easier and so on and so fourth. at least in the case of mmo's and shiz.
The problem though was that it was TTK and then no new content for half a year, until the April update. Seasonal content has its issues, but at the very least it's something to do rather than absolutely nothing as was the norm
Grog There’s barely anything to do now. I’m still stuck doing all the pinnacles from shadows keep and then logging off. Maybe trials on the weekend. Same thing as TTK only difference TTK did it better.
@@FilthyNingen Uhh, I'd say that the combined content of Season of Dawn and Worthy are much more than literal nothing. The period after TTK didn't do it better because it didn't do anything at all. That was the problem. Even if there was just the Saint-14 story missions, it would still have been better than the period after TTK, because even that would have been more than literal nothing. You are free to clamour about how bad the season is, even if I don't agree with ya. But please at least don't lie about it. (TTK itself was one of the best periods of the game I'll add, but we are talking about the period following it.)
Could not agree more with you, grinding for Raze lighter, bolt caster and dark drinker was the longest and best grind I ever did in destiny 1. AHHHHHHHhhhhh nostalgia is hitting me hard.
As far as raid exotics theyre still insane. Tbh anarchy is probs the best raid wepon in d2 AND d1. Only complaint is do something beneficial to tarrabah lol, still potentially insane but why would i overall use it over say huckleberry?
Example number 10000 of NPC making pathetic excuse of a comment saying how d1 was better for some braindead reason even tho ur just getting old and bored
Anybody that disagrees on this statement has clearly only played D2 the exotics and even legendaries on that game were not only better looking but there effects and perk trees could be used to add slightly more customization to your class , heck if D1 exotics weren't good why are most of D2s exotics just D1 exotics they nerfed and brought back lol JS
D1: A time when exotics were actually EXOTIC, extremely rare, took tons of effort to get, and felt rewarding as fuck when you finally managed to get your hands on it. D2: “Pay 1,000 silver for the season pass and get your “free” “exotic” of the month lol”
TFAegislash 57 no but tommies is way more fun stick on the auto loading exotic chest piece and just fire it’s really good for the moon thing (forgot what’s it’s called but there’s a lot of hive) you can shoot about 250 rounds before reloading
Sorry to say, but at the beginning of tTK in D1, there was a cheese to farm all exotics. A large portion of the community partook, and with the introduction of the Xur coins, forgot what they were called, exotics just weren't rare anymore. Year 1 in D1 though...that was when Exotics were rare and amazing to get.
Cobalt Epsilon I feel that exotics aren’t as exiting as they should be, the quests are too short and easy the long ones just have easy grinds that you can do. We need exotics like I’m forsaken when you tubers we’re borrowing accounts to test the new exotics because of how rare they were and seeing an engram was amazing but now it’s like oh great another one eyed mask.
I love my catalyst'd Whisper, my Thousand wings, and my Thorn precisely because I have been on a serious journey to get them. I know my "suffering" and the story in shaping them, it adds value and meaning to the weapon.
Not letting me use my favorite weapons is irritating, because I always try the new weapons as I earn them but with the exception of the new seraph carbine I’m not usually a fan of how they feel.
Quick note- “power creep” refers to how, over time, new content items gradually become objectively better than items from old content, not what was mentioned in this vid
@@agiantsquid8552 He said that OLD GEAR stays better than NEW GEAR as content is released. However, it is reversed. NEW GEAR through updates makes OLD GEAR obsolete is the definition of power creep.
Im with you on that. D2 just didnt feel the same. I didnt have the same love for the game as I did with D1. To me D1 is still a better game. Im tempted to get back into D2 with this upcoming season though.
Taken King was the best man! I met strangers that became friends over time because of us gathering every Tuesday and running it 3 times! I remember the struggle of the first couple.. ok let's say 15 first times haha.. trying to figure out how to go through it. The jumping puzzles with the columns knocking you off the narrow path! So many good memories. Thank for bringing it all back to live with this video!
I actually enjoyed using this weapon. Funniest thing is my mates and i actually went flawless using this back in d1 as a challenge and the reactions we got was 10/10
Damn I remember the grind for this and it was tough, I was so happy when I got it. It makes me sad though that I may never get to meet the fun raid teams I had again. Respect and love to those guys honestly.
The way they keep adding exotics where they are literally easy to get, they shouldn’t add this weapon in D2. Bungie lost their touch but we’ll see what they got for season 11 and year 4
in season 11 and year 4, you will be forced not to use the weapons you love. and they actually said they aren't retiring exotics YET. which makes no sense, exotics should NEVER be retired.
The grind required for this gun was so worth it. The nostalgia I’m getting from this video. The amount of times it would be like 3 in the morning and we’re all so close to finishing KF and then it transcends into everyone just having a laugh in the end, not even wanting to finish the raid. The days man...
The Taken King DLC was and still is the single greatest content Bungie has ever ( and seemingly will ever ) put out. Especially with the whole new micro season and battle pass approach they have adopted. The ToM quest was perfect and stands as the benchmark of how to introduce and handle exotic weapon quests. No Exotic should ever be given via a battle pass it's lazy and stupid. Was ToM a good weapon? Yes, was it my go to? No. But I always remember and cherish it because of what I did to get it. Still my favorite exotics were all from D1 year 1 when the ONLY way to get a exotic was Rng from bounties turned in... and back then we had no idea what the weapon was when it offered you three choices! My first exotic weapon in D1 was an exotic quest that resulted in me receiving Supe Good Advice. It was and will always be my sentimental favorite just because It was my first. (BtW it was actually really good) I hate exotics in D2 they're given out like candy on Halloween, and if you have bad RnG no problem... XÜR will probably just offer it up next week -.- ( Seriously XÜR has to be reworked or go away! )
L he didnt have fated engrams, and his currency was much rarer. In a weeks worth of grinding you could prob get 1 item from xur, in D2 you can buy his entire kit and get a guaranteed exotic you dont already have. Exotics aren’t even rare anymore. The only exotics i feel are rare are the whisper, outbreak, and a few raid weapons because their somewhat challenging
Niko Velmerig i gotta disagree, im more of a fan of taken and hive gods tham the spliced peeps and i just liked the vibes of taken king more, i also had more fun with the content and the loot was better imo. Both were incredible and theres no denying how incredible the last wish raid was.
The best DLC for me. I remember being in D1 playing the raid the first time, killing oryx, the best feeling ever. Me and my friends playing every weekend, the best times of my life.
Prison Bill Cosby honestly rise of iron was great it kept that momentum of greatness the taken king had, I wish I could experience the Crotas end era I was too young to know what I was doing
I remember running a route to collect the hadium flakes. The route was the most efficient thing at the time and it took upwards of 3 hours to get 50. Imagine... 3 hours being the most efficient strategy for just the first part of this quest.
Man you really emphatized how grindy this exotic quest was, but to me it was a pleasure to farm this weapon (except for the halium fragments part) the quest was long but entertaining and extremely satisfying to finish because the gun was op
Darth Kermit “the main part of the game is boring to the point that it’s near unplayable so it’s your fault that you don’t like the game” That’s pretty much what you just said
Weapon retirement does solve it tho. It worked with Taken King and I don’t see why it wouldn’t with D2. The only reason people don’t want weapon retirement is cause they don’t wanna let go of their stats
Ralez I love grinding but F**k d2 is WAY too much I’m literally switching to D1 because I prefer grinding in that game more and the way to fix it is to stop making OP weapons valence before there released
@@ralez1178 the issue is that weapon retirement forces us to switch weapons to ones we dont like, instead it should be better weapons come around so we have a reason to abandon old weapons
Touch is what I equip when I go back into D1. I soloed the Fear’s Embrace and felt very rewarded for getting that gun after several failed attempts and intense, sweaty gameplay. My favorite part of this game is it’s story, so having this long amazing quest to get Touch and then realizing you are pretty much holding Oryx in your hands after is absolutely amazing.
I quit D2 a couple of months ago due mostly to boredom and watching this just made me remember so much of the good old days in D1. I miss it so much. Hoping Bungie gets it right on D3 and brings back these cool quests and sense of accomplishment that we used to have
Dude great video. Brought back so many great memories grinding my butt off for that gun. You’re so right that it was the most worth exotic to grind for
The adventure for the touch of malice was the best quest ever! Kings Fall was my fav raid, taken king my fav DLC etc. Absolutely loved every minute of destiny 1 in that year. Let's hope beyond light is even half as good
Thank you so much for watching! I want to correct myself, clarify, and add more that I missed! I think the correct term instead of power creep is Weapon Fatigue Power creep isn't what I described, but it is close, power creep is when the game introduces new items (mountaintop, recluse) and leaves old ones under powered, I think weapon retirement is good for this reason. Touch of Malice was kind of nerfed where it stopped allowing titan bubble over-shield to proc with it, thus killing the user very quick again. Thank you and new merch is coming soon!
"Power creep is something that is going to happen at some point, so why not just artificially speed up the process, retire old weapons and make the stupid Destiny 2 players grind for them all over again?"
Dude that is not what power creep is, power creep is the release of new content that just outclasses the old content in every way making it essentially useless
Of all the activities I've done playing Destiny all these years, it's this quest that always stuck with me. Despite its grind.. I enjoyed it immensely.
The fact that my head was able to comprehend the calcified fragments and which ones I needed to get after already getting some just by playing the campaign
This was Destiny at its prime. This quest consumed me and made it hard to think of anything even other than Destiny. Although it was such a grind, it was so rewarding in the end. I’m still playing Destiny 2 from time to time but it doesn’t grab my attention like it use to. My time on the Dreadnaught is some of the best times I’ve had in video games. Great video though!
9:52 Datto's quote is for another calcified fragment. It was to kill spawned majors (limit one PER DAY) that led up to a major enemy fight in the patrol space on the way to the Darkblade's strike. It only gave one of 45 calcified fragments and was Datto's edge against all the other content creators
Here’s to hoping that this comes back with a reprised King’s Fall around the time of Witch Queen. In the case of it and Well of Radiance, I think a good choice would it simply not healing you while you have the weapon out.
I played D1 so much it got to a point I was teaching parts of raids 😬(yes I know not as good as teaching full on raids but I helped loads) I felt so important to be part of a great community. People cared about your progress and what you had to teach. I grinded everyday to get this weapon when I finally got it I was so happy after hours and hours of endless gaming
Watching this video, it made me realize that I never grounded so much for a gun and I’m really glad it was so worth it, I made friends because of the raid step and had a lot of fun exploring the dreadnaught for the fragments...man 15 year old me had a lot of time on his hands
Ah yes... Oryx the boss that made or broke lfg teams. And an example of "everyone better know what they're doing or wipe" design and no matter how skilled you were, it took the same amount of time each time and became extremely tedious.
Maaaaaan!! This bought back some memories bro!! Touch of malice slapped the sisters in kings fall!! I hated the quest but I loved that weapon man!! It was a beast!! I miss D1
I like quests like this as long as the weapon you get is really good and it serves a certain purpose like the malice. It was almost a necessity in Kings fall for awhile.
When I played D1 I was young enough to look up to a cousin of mine. He told me that scouts were the best type of gun and to this day on my D1 PS3 Warlock, my primary is a blue scout that I used for EVERYTHING. I got taken king and the other 2 expansions when I got my copy for Christmas and from the moment I learned about exotics I felt like I needed them. Then I found out about a touch of malice and it was and still is my main destiny goal across both games. The fact it was an exotic scout from the best DLC imo just sealed the deal for me but I've never had a fireteam to help me through kings fall and I never knew much about the game to farm it, the most farming I ever did was for a sword. I remember farming hadium flakes for HOURS and I loved every second because of the Dreadnaught. Destiny is the 1 game that has impacted me the most and seeing this video brought a nostalgia tear to my eye. Thank you. So much for reminding me of this brilliance. I'm subscribing.

@@big_cheese_guy imo they went backwards. D2 should've been how d1 started with d1 being d2 seeing as how they are scrambling trying to get d2 to be like d1
Bro fr i forgot how long that quest was thats crazy
I miss when exotic quests felt like quests
I don't miss grinding days for a single quest step, though
except maybe sleeper in D2, that felt rather fun, and it had catchy music.
Mason Jones I don’t miss the last word quest. Or the original thorn quest.
The_SCP _Foundation nah that was lit
Mason Jones yeah sorry what are you talking about d2 quest are public events and lost sectors most boring shit ever
Absolutely loving these videos, reminiscing over fond memories.
My 11/12 year old ass did that shit? Goddamn younger mason, you were a beast.
Fuckin mood
This grind was much better than those “bounty” quests _cough cough_ Fourth Horseman _cough cough_
God, or me
it's because since bungie got out of the deal with activision they're on a smaller budget and have a smaller staff.
Daniel Maldonado Bungie made 300 million dollars off of digital sales last year alone, and they have at least 500 employees
According to a leak source that has been correct on things before, a large amount of Bungie’s staff are working on Destiny 3 while a smaller group is covering the seasons. Unknown Player made a video on it recently.
I remember how rewarding it was to get this exotic. I loved every single moment of the Taken King ❤️
2:43 That's a bad definition of "power creep". Power Creep is when power from abilities or weapons creeps up so high over time (through updates or expansions) that it renders earlier activities too easy.
Your definition is actually the opposite of power creep.
Alassandros lol thank god someone else said this. What he said is completely wrong.
lol I was literally thinking the same thing. big oof
For real
Such an iconic gun 👍
rewatching this and Evan's King's Fall video right before heading in to claim my 3rd Day 1 raid emblem, shits got me pumped as hell
I remember being in 10th grade and getting so jealous when my friend got that gun without me lol 😭 that dude is a dad now bro wtf
Sorry about your friend forgetting to put a condom on

A happy memory but the video made me sad cause i miss this gun so much, i worked so hard ;-;
For a second there I thought the title meant that touch of malice was coming to Destiny 2. I almost freaked out
xCrymson I almost passed out
it was on display with xenophage at a con and its an important weapon in the current lore so it will prolly come back at some point
at least in my pov, th egun won't come out, tommy's matchbook sounds like bungie's alternative to the gun, and i love it. it's new, fresh, reminiscing touch of malice in its own way, and it's not just an old weapon brought back yay. don't get me wrong, touch of malice is great, a lot of d1 weapons are cool and nostalgic, some players want new things, we had them before... same for raids, maps, and other things. i don't want bungie to bring back anymore old weapons... (hawkmoon gets me tempted but still) bungie should make new guns, new perks, guns that feel fresh and feel differently, some of us don't want a gun that we used for a few years back then... at least imo
they can't do that since you would need a piece of oryx who we can't reach anymore. though if recent lore is anything to go by, savathun wants to bring him back
xCrymson right same
Bungie: *releases new exotic weapon*
Evan: THIS EXOTIC WEAPON CHANGED DESTINY FOREVER
Also, power creep can also be the opposite. When old things dont fit the new meta.
I remember back on 360 me and my other clan member got ToM the day it was available for us to grab on that reset day week due to the court of Oryx rotation. I sat in the tower with it in my back for at least 3 hours and at one point, I had about 14 people surrounding me so many people asking how I got it. ToM hit different...
the gloating was the best part
Never thought I would we see you here wakkas.
Honestly felt like a celebrity when you had it. People would get replaced mid raid if someone with ToM wanted to join
Bruh when taken king was released Destiny already left the old gen consoles lol

This was my first raid ever completed in D1, and it’s still my favorite. The lore for this raid to even getting ToM, a weapon built from the raid bosses was second to none.
man i‘m watching every single D1 vid of u wit tears in my eyes...those were the times🙏
I loved LFGing and appearing with the touch. I knew that it wasn't going to my fault if we kept wiping.
Touch of Malice was seriously the defining exotic of D1. The whole synergy with titan bubbles in the Oryx raid is the easiest memory to recall for me.
You ever play with the thorn in year 1 ? Ooo it was godly
@@_F_I_E_R_C_E_ yeah I did! Total menace in PvP but I enjoyed PvE a lot more

I remember crouching under the shield brothers with my invective ahh good times
Best Exotic ever in Destiny
I see no lies
Seriously, id rather pay 30 euros for an expansion like the taking king than 10 for shit content every 3 months
Agreed. Taken king is the best imo. Kings fall was amazing.
You took the words out of my mouth
Can we have a exotic sword vid from D1? Loved those quests (even though they were a pain) but the reward was well worth it.
Could not agree more with you, grinding for Raze lighter, bolt caster and dark drinker was the longest and best grind I ever did in destiny 1. AHHHHHHHhhhhh nostalgia is hitting me hard.
Firas Drass aw man this is getting me in the feels, jeeeeez remember having to go into pvp and get kills
I can't believe Destiny has done so well this long, been there from day one and these vids bring me back baby!!!! Big ups!
This is so smart. You learned all about oryx and the gun as you collect the books of sorrow in the calcified fragments
Best raid, best exotic quests, The Taken King will always be the best expansion. Great video.
Lee Glasgow agreed
It was another 60 dollars. It wasn’t an expansion. It was another game ffs
Tahj Hightower yea but it was worth it.
Tahj Hightower it was 40 for ttk alone. The complete edition which included the base game and the 2 expansions with it was 60
Wrath best raid. Kings Fall is mid because oryx fight is so terrible
The exotics in D2 def took a far step back from what they were in D1, especially the raid exotics..(vex mytho, necro, malice, etc.)
The Ace of Spades.
@@FSUincRS I played d1 way more than d2. most returning d1 exotics were buffed and stronger than they were in d1.
D1: A time when exotics were actually EXOTIC, extremely rare, took tons of effort to get, and felt rewarding as fuck when you finally managed to get your hands on it.
D2: “Pay 1,000 silver for the season pass and get your “free” “exotic” of the month lol”
It's not even free, it's early access
Fokin' bungo 🙄
And they often are the best exotic from that dlc as well like they made 4th horseman shit but we have big ole flame thrower that shreads
Its crazy to belive I was able to accomplish this. Great video! :)
Thats what he said
@@agiantsquid8552 He said that OLD GEAR stays better than NEW GEAR as content is released. However, it is reversed. NEW GEAR through updates makes OLD GEAR obsolete is the definition of power creep.
@Qwerty Bastard And then have the audacity to spread misinformation as actual facts to other casuals...
Haha I was thinking the same
D2 just doesn’t have that same feeling D1 did... oh how I miss the old days.
Thing is, the old days weren't even so long ago. Just time flies by very fast when you love something.
Vibe Checker69 The old days were 3 years ago
@@sergiofelix2770 is that long for you?
@@vibechecker6932 I'll agree that time flies by very fast but 3 years is a long time.
These kinds of quest, while being painstakingly long, are what brought people together
I actually enjoyed using this weapon. Funniest thing is my mates and i actually went flawless using this back in d1 as a challenge and the reactions we got was 10/10
I love these videos. So Very cool to see the story of the game. Keep em coming.
Thank u for letting me reflect on some good memories
Chest hunting in the dreadnaught for those materials was a pain but SO worth it
Damn I remember the grind for this and it was tough, I was so happy when I got it. It makes me sad though that I may never get to meet the fun raid teams I had again. Respect and love to those guys honestly.
God, I remember just sittin there by the Court of Oryx waiting for 2-3 more people to show up
Ikr that was incredible tedious
The way they keep adding exotics where they are literally easy to get, they shouldn’t add this weapon in D2. Bungie lost their touch but we’ll see what they got for season 11 and year 4
in season 11 and year 4, you will be forced not to use the weapons you love. and they actually said they aren't retiring exotics YET. which makes no sense, exotics should NEVER be retired.
*laughs in Riskrunner and MIDA Multi-Tool*
maff Ya unfortunately the Mida became just OK nothing amazing like it used to be.
Destiny 2 not so much. I'm hoping D3 will be it.
So happy to see ur channel blowing up you are a great dude and deserve it
The grind required for this gun was so worth it. The nostalgia I’m getting from this video. The amount of times it would be like 3 in the morning and we’re all so close to finishing KF and then it transcends into everyone just having a laugh in the end, not even wanting to finish the raid. The days man...
I’m more curious from a lore perspective. How would such a weapon return if we were to reconstruct it?
Retrieve it from Oryx's body on Saturn maybe? That would be dope.
XÜR will probably just offer it up next week -.- ( Seriously XÜR has to be reworked or go away! )
D1 had xur too
L he didnt have fated engrams, and his currency was much rarer.
Well maybe I’m just a hoarder but I always had the strange coins to buy everything and have lots of coins left
Ever heard of that thing called "Forsaken"? Cause that's the best content drop for Destiny
Carlos Fantauzzi same destiny doesn’t vibe the same anymore
I think during the Crota raid was the peak of destiny, taken king was up there as well, but after that it went downhill.
Prison Bill Cosby honestly rise of iron was great it kept that momentum of greatness the taken king had, I wish I could experience the Crotas end era I was too young to know what I was doing
Old days man..
The Taken King to Age of Triumph was the best time in Destiny history. D2 is miserable in comparison

Weapon retirement doesn’t really solve it, looking at the emblem situation, I really hope I can transfer my stats of weapon kills,
Weapon retirement does solve it tho.
Hoping Bungie gets it right on D3 and brings back these cool quests and sense of accomplishment that we used to have
12:49 this expression sums up Touch of Malice perfectly, absolute braindead gameplay

I wish this type of quest came back.
Dude great video. Brought back so many great memories grinding my butt off for that gun. You’re so right that it was the most worth exotic to grind for

Thank you so much for watching! I want to correct myself, clarify, and add more that I missed!
I think the correct term instead of power creep is Weapon Fatigue
Power creep isn't what I described, but it is close, power creep is when the game introduces new items (mountaintop, recluse) and leaves old ones under powered, I think weapon retirement is good for this reason.
Touch of Malice was kind of nerfed where it stopped allowing titan bubble over-shield to proc with it, thus killing the user very quick again.
Thank you and new merch is coming soon!
no
Dude, Devil's ruin last season was waaaaay too easy to get compared to this.

This was the best and most rewarding quest I’ve ever done in any game, emotionally and in game :)
Here’s to hoping that this comes back with a reprised King’s Fall around the time of Witch Queen.
In the case of it and Well of Radiance, I think a good choice would it simply not healing you while you have the weapon out.
Agreed, that or have the perk actually activate and override Well/Rift/Restoration
Great prediction!
I miss when pve was actually challenging
When destiny was good 😢 back the. Exotic quest were challenging and enjoyable
"What was your touch of malice story?" I would tell you, If I ever got it...Still need Oryx's heart.
Ah yes... Oryx the boss that made or broke lfg teams. And an example of "everyone better know what they're doing or wipe" design and no matter how skilled you were, it took the same amount of time each time and became extremely tedious.
Sorry, I think you miss spoke. You said “one of the best DLC’s” and not “The best DLC”

Never played d1 but wow. Got into d2 a bit a while ago but quarantine got me hooked. 245 hours and counting. I'm in love with this game, lore and world
I loved this raid and it’s gear so much I didn’t even notice the time it took to get this gun. I was at the front lines of everything destiny for the first few years there
