I’m only a few minutes in so far but damn, this is a well made video! More laughs per minute than a local comedy show! Bravo! Thank you for the laughs and life lessons! 🤣😂🤣👍
I have been cutting my hair for the last 20 years. You live, you learn. You are brave to try it. Do it again. Try again. Every time is fun. Regards from Argentina
I just messed my hair up a few days ago. Afraid of hair stylists in my town. I figured if I mess it up, I haven't waiting weeks for an appointment, hours at the shop and over $100.00 wasted for slow service and a bad cut to have to go back home and correct it myself. In the back, I clipper cut my pixie too high and too short. If I had the right mirrors, this wouldn't have happened. I'm buying mirrors so I can see the back. Glad I'm not alone on t his one.😢🎉🎉🎉🎉
I just stumbled onto this video as I search for and watch every possible pixie cutting video known to UA-cam, and I wanted to just stop and say that I absolutely LOVE this and love your attitude and playfulness! Great video and I’m now subscribed, thanks for being you!
Oooomy god Lmaooo you just saved me from making the same mistake lolol yeah I think I’ll go to the salon instead 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ty for sharing your experience 👍 great help
Really cute cut!! It was fun watching each step with you while experiencing a new do. Now you know a little more about your electric hair cutter than you did before! You have gorgeous hair too.
Thanks, Gloria. If hair didn't grow back, I might have been more careful. But I really do love the buzz cut, it's so easy and feels great. I may keep buzzing it all summer long.
This was hilarious! I can't believe you actually cut your hair this short for the video! You should see what I've done to my cat with the shaver, haha!
I did the buzz. Many years ago and ended ip with a crew... aaagghhh. It grew, everything was fine, didn't leave the house in daylight for 3 months. Everything was fine it grew...
My husband gives my two teen boys their haircuts every three weeks using the clippers with attachments and clippers over the comb cutting on the top and to blend the sides and back. He has told me that cutting their short hair to look good is easier than trimming my long hair. My mom watched him give my boys their haircuts one day, and commented that he does a great job, but it looked like too much work, she would just shave them bald. I also have a friend that had an overgrown pixie with a mullet thing on her neck that was bugging her big time a couple years ago and she asked if he could cut short hair, as it is more difficult than long hair. I pointed out that he gives my two teen boys their haircuts, and she said great, I want mine like my older teen. So he gave her a boy short haircut using the same techniques as when he cuts the boys’ hair. He took off a lot of hair, and she loved t, so did her husband. If he didn’t have the experience of giving each of my boys over a hundred haircuts each, I would have advised against it. So given your inexperience with the clippers, there was definitely a strong chance that you were going to wind up giving yourself a buzz cut.
Yes - I was going to add that to the video! That's part of why the experienced pixie cut demonstrators on UA-cam make it look so easy. They've done it a few times, at least. Sounds like your husband does a great job. Maybe he should make a video :-)
Agreed, having experience makes all the difference. My husband always makes sure what is wanted before he starts cutting. Of course, with mine, my best friend’s long hair and my teen boys, it is same as usual. He starts with the larger number attachments up higher, then smaller numbers as he gets lower on the back and sides. We have never taken any video of him cutting hair, just photos after. I won’t even let him take pictures when I have henna on my head. I posted Pictures of my boys a few years back and mentioned how handsome they were with fresh haircuts and a friend who is a stylist commented that she really liked the haircuts and that she should learn to use clippers. I thought her comment was odd, as being licensed, you would think that is a tool she would know how to use. We do have a GoPro camera, so if one of my friends was ok with it, I could do a video, but I am not sure that they would be ok posting it on the internet. Maybe if they had their own channel and wanted it for content, that would be a possibility.
Oh gosh. I gave myself a pixie last week. Wish I would’ve watched your video before hand because the exact same thing happened to me😢 please listen to her!
Thanks! It'll grow, and I'll keep cutting it! I really do like it short. I thought a short cut felt good, but this is a whole new level of feeling wonderful! Free.
Tara, great to see you here! I miss your voice too -- I often think of how I used to visit you in the home economics/cooking room at Rosslyn. I'll be in Colorado in July...any chance you'll be there? Maybe PM me on FB if it's easier. xoxoxo
Thanks, Bigfoot. With a name like that I have to assume you're Canadian...but I also know what assuming does (makes an ass out of me) 😊 Welcome to the Tofino family!
Thanks! It's already about an inch long, and I'm missing the buzz cut. I'm on the road and even an inch of hair can get oily fast. I don't think I'll buzz it again but I'm glad I did. It was a good experience.
@@LaurieSheBlossoms Well, I was just thinking that a part two might be a fun idea where all of the lessons learnt in the first part was applied... If not, wish you all the best...
If you're going to do a DIY haircut even a buzz cut, watch LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of videos before you even pick up that shaver! I've been cutting my own hair for years (usually into a pixie) but I've studied hours of videos before I start cutting. "It's only hair" is an OK thought process if your hair grows quickly. Mine doesn't so I take more time to study before I cut. Instructions on your particular shaver are there to help you use it. 👍👍
Good thing that you are happy with your buzzcut, as there is not anything left to fix. Given that was your first time using the clippers, you should have had someone help you.
Well, you experienced buzzing your head, but for the way ahead as your hair grows, whether you decide to grow out your hair and manage a short haircut or keep it buzzed off.
I laughed so hard at this. She is awesome brave and funny!
I paid someone for my pixie and I hate it but seeing you made me feel better. Thanks for reminding me it’s just hair 😊

I love this video!! I love how playful you are with cutting your hair and how happy you are about it 😊
Your personality is just lovely. You look great!
BRAVO, brave lady! You attacked that hair with gusto and fearlessness! I SO MUCH appreciate you sharing your experience with us :)

This is awesome. Laughed all the way through. Now It's time to cut my hair with similar energy because no, I can't follow instructions :P
This was very entertaining! You look great with almost no hair.
best 5 mins of my day watching this! LOVED!
Your new haircut looks great, even if it was an educational experience!
Oooomy god Lmaooo you just saved me from making the same mistake lolol yeah I think I’ll go to the salon instead 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ty for sharing your experience 👍 great help
Your hair looks great that length!
Thank you so much for this vid. Thoroughly enjoyed it. In my case, I did not rewatch the video I had used before.
love the buzz:) looks amazing

"Uh oh", "we have come this far" 😅
Thank you for being brave! I’m about to cut my own hair, and this was useful! You’re so cute!
Nailed it lol. Got that look of who cares, I'm happy.
Okay but you are INSANELY BEAUTIFUL!!! 😍😍😍😍
Sweet, thank you!
it actually came out pretty good 👍
You look so good w buzzed haircut..love it
first time with the haircutter is always an eye opening experience
Especially when you're the haircutter, & you don't know what you're doing! :-) First time for everything...
This was hilarious! I can't believe you actually cut your hair this short for the video! You should see what I've done to my cat with the shaver, haha!
I feel it looks great. You left the back and sides which softens it.
That was hysterical 😆I too, hate to read directions! Just do it!
Can I do yours next. Darin? ;-)
@@LaurieSheBlossoms Absolutely! I'll be right over! 😉
LOL! ❤😂 I did something similar when I decided to try the electric trimmer on top.
I just cut mine, but I covered the sink with newspapers so it wouldn't go down the drain, lol!
You have really honorly reflected your doing! 😃Great job! 😄👏

Hats! I've always loved wearing hats, and absolutely adored them after I buzzed all my hair off 🙂

Hats are great ways to cover up botched pixie cuts 🙂
great vid! love the buzzcut:)

You look lovely with short hair!
Let it grow back a bit more. You are so lucky to have that much hair. But you look great in a short cut.
Oh I have missed your voice. I love the cut!

Fun video and cute cut!💓
Thank you! It was a fun video to make, and I actually really like the cut. I'm surprised, but I'll keep it buzzed for a few months at least.
xo
Good job. I cut mine myself all the time. Never even..don’t care
New Tofino owner. Love your videos Laurie!
Thanks, Bigfoot. With a name like that I have to assume you're Canadian...but I also know what assuming does (makes an ass out of me) 😊 Welcome to the Tofino family!
Your great awesome to watch and I live the " ohh"
Thanks Sheila, it was a fun video to make! Now, if only I could find a way to make an interesting video of my hair growing back... 😊
You are a hoot!
Thanks, Laurie! Though I daresay all "Laurie's" are hoots :-) xo
I am pro hairstylist except for the buzz LOL it look's good on you will grow out fuller and trendy
Thanks! It's already about an inch long, and I'm missing the buzz cut. I'm on the road and even an inch of hair can get oily fast. I don't think I'll buzz it again but I'm glad I did. It was a good experience.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 loved this hysterical 😅😅😅😅😅
I really like alot! It looks very good on you 💕nice work
Thanks! Once the bald spots grow out, I'll like it too :-) Still have to level it out, so it's even.
xo
When does part two come out?
I haven’t thought about Part 2! Other than “her hair grew back, and she lived happily ever after.” 😊

😊❤ 2:06 still cute as a button
guessing you are going to cut it really short and this is just a bit f fun. You wouldnt actually cut the crown with clippers for a pixie
Que has hecho ?
Are those whips hanging on the wall to the right? 😮
Nope, those aren't whips - they're necklaces! I'm not a whippy girl 😊
It’s driving me crazy at the mess she is making.
You're so cute.
That's 🤣🤣🤣 crazy. It takes time and knowledge to achieve cutting your own hair. At least you were quite jovial.
I try not to take life too seriously 😊 And in the grand scheme of things, a buzz cut isn't serious at all!
❤

Ha ha! "There's nothing left to fix" -- that's great, I love it. That's my favorite place to be. I can start fresh :-)

Crazy bold mu friend
Thanks, Michelle! It was actually a lot of fun :-)
Just dodged a bullet thanks to this video.
Omg! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Noooooo......!
My sister, pay $20 for a pro!!!
Can't get a pro cut in my town. Still trying to find one. Those cheap clip places always mess up my hair.
