I'm from South America and I only knew Rob Schneider from some goofy movies from the 90's. Never thought he was such a brilliant thinker and quite pleasant to listen to in a conversation. Great guest.
Coincido y, Es curioso que las personas que hacen comedia por lo general son muy inteligentes y Buenos para el análisis crítico. Yo creo que es por eso que fueron a los primeros que quisieron censurar.
@@robertovr9976 Yes, but perhaps the censorship you refer to doesn't have to do with critical analysis from a comedian as such, but something much deeper. Comedy is the most attacked expression of art in all totalitarian systems, since in comedy the reaction to it is spontaneous, emotional, unfiltered by any rational process of the mind; thus laugh just happens, even in an audience with a different set of beliefs from that of the comedian. The funny is just funny and we can’t control our sudden burst of laughter. That event challenges the platonic utopia of having the whole society under a single psique (soul) frame. And even brings down the definition of humankind as a mere group of blank slate beings subject to malleability by any social engineering. Comedy is, philosophically speaking, a very tough matter. The Name of the Rose, the great masterpiece by Eco, is a good depiction of that intent of suppression of laughter motivated by supposedly superior intentions. The parallel and somewhat antithetical interpretation of it all, though, that one could make is that: by trying to criticize certain trends of thought from Middle Ages and perhaps making a metaphor against some extreme conservative movements of the 20ths century, Eco, without even knowing it, was foreseeing what would be the mantra of leftist ideology, on this subject, in the 21th century. It's kind of surreal (and very obscurely demented) that the Left, once known by its defense of free speech and asking not to take everything so seriously, has turned nowadays into totalitarianism eager for a dull world with a single mind set. But they’ll fail. Suppression on laughter is unnatural. It always has and always will be.
One of the best conversations I have had the pleasure of watching. Never in my life did i think Rob Schneider and Dr. Peterson would be discussing such topics together.
I could never have imagined watching Duece Bigelow 20 years ago that this man would become one of the most well respected figures in our conservative movement. Lol. 😂🎉👏 What a time to be alive. Such an insightful and intelligent free thinker. A true fearless American patriot!

My Grand Pa who drove heavy machinery during WW2 told me once ' if you dress like a longshoreman you will be treated like a longshoreman ' Grand Pa had no beef with working class guys, he was one himself, but he was making a point. His always shaved, polished his shoes and looked sharp when not at work and his manners were impeccable. Civility costs you nothing he would say 😊
I love this 💗 I never thought Rob Schneider was dumb by any measure..but seeing him converse with one of the most intellectual people in my lifetime is nice. On the flip side, I never thought Dr. Jordan B. Peterson was dull, but seeing him go between funny and insightful is nice too. More of this!!
People seriously disregard the trades. I grew up with a friend that quit school at grade 10. He started out as a carpenter and saved his money, bought properties and started building homes on them. In Covid home prices flew through the roof and he had piles of property. Between him and his crew of five he made 44 million a year for about 4 years straight. Now hes still building homes, has apartment complexes and numerous properties living life on the high end. Moral of the story is don't disregard a tradesman he might be worth a lot more than you think.
Yep , know a guy who is a cabinetmaker, employs 15 tradesmen and builds highend kitchens etc. He has a garge full of classic porshes, not bad for a guy who started his apprenticeship at 16 and has no clue what kale and quinoa is 😊
Yeah, I went through high school in the late 1970s. Our high school offered Mechanical/Architectural drafting, a Woodshop, an Auto shop, a Machine shop, and a Graphics/printing shop. But those of us who were drawn to the trades and aspired to be tradesmen were regarded as "Lower Class." Faculty said, "You will be much better off getting a Bachelor's in computer programming". I followed my natural talent into the trades.
I'm a bit late to the party, but am enjoying this interview a lot! One thing I've noticed among real thinkers is that they tend to dress quite dapper. I think we need that to make a comeback.

Out of all the guests that Jordan has had on his podcast, why is that I am most surprised by Rob Schneider? I'm blown away and equally excited for the next hour and forty-two minutes.
Finally someone with a Filipino descent has been interviewed by Sir Jordan Peterson. Somehow I felt honored seeing these two having a good conversation. Kudos my Kababayan.

I am so thankful for this conversation. It is such a relief that both gentlemen speak so candidly and on point on so many critically concerning topics. Thank you for being you… and using your platform for such conversations. ❤
Excellent interview, I hadn't heard Rob Schneider before, he's an engaging speaker and I loved his hat too. Dr Peterson was looking stylish in that light coloured three-piece suit. Autism and ADHD amongst young people have increased greatly here in the UK in recent times, and it can't be all down to over-diagnosis. These conditions were unheard of thirty or forty years ago. Thank you both for an enjoyable discussion for a cold Thursday evening.
I have a 16 yr old autistic son. Diagnosed at age 2. Here in Australia in 2010 when Diagnosed it was 1 in 160. Now it's 1 in 50 or so they are saying. I don't believe my sons developmental paediatrician when he says it's just better diagnosis. That's b.s. If cancer had tripled in that short amount of time the world would be up in arms but because autism isn't a killer although massively life altering people don't take notice
