Many years ago I was backpacking with a friend in eastern Europe. We met two girls that were going our way so we got together. The first time we sat down to eat at a campsite, one of them grabbed a piece of bread and spread some butter and jam on it and gave it to me. I was shook... I distinctly remember the wave of fuzzy warmth that went through me at that gesture. Nothing romantic ever happened between any of us, but the feeling of being "taken care of" by a woman was overwhelmingly heartwarming. In an situation like backpacking where everything felt like minimalism and survival, she felt - strangely - like home. I still carry that with me.
I had a very similar experience of a girl offering me food that was deeply satisfying. In my case she fed me a bowl of borscht that she had just made. There is something very archetypical about this.
@@ReverendDr.Thomas yes. The point is precisely that it was a gesture that anybody could've done but the fact that it was a woman made it FEEL nurturing, like no man could've done.
Amazing video. I am a man and I am already retired. It has been rather concerning to see so many young people reject what I would refer to as some of the most beautiful aspects of being human. It is wonderful to see such a young, beautiful "woman" emphasise the beauty and significance of our nature.
The inherent goodness you imbue both in the masculine and feminine is truly inspiring. You manage to speak to the best traits of one without belittling the other, which is far too commonly the case. Thank you for your voice in this conversation.
I’ve often said that the reason why we’re in the mess that we’re in - especially in modern society - is that we’re ignoring or suppressing the things that make us human. Your videos and others like them offer a better insight of why we should value humanity: as long as we are among humans, let us be humane.
Dear, if women are nurturing, stop asking for child custody. With that logic, women are better parents than men. But you have MRAs that want equal custody of a child. Also, if women were supposed to be nurturing, women wouldn't be committing child abuse and harassing men for alimony, which means men also have that instinct. It in itself will make people think mothers are more important than fathers. Well, exceptions can exist where women truly consciously and subconsciously do not want to be mothers and where men want to be dads without woke messaging because they want to, not because they are brainwashed.
Whatever changes she said a woman goes through after pregnancy is scientific. I have no issues with this video. But maybe women feel strongly against being mothers because they are forced to. Any thoughts about that. Because forcing a woman to be one can cause issues for the child. If you stop access to abortion what will they do next? Of course, give up on the child give it up for adoption, or take the anger out on the child. Now I am not saying that there should be access to abortion but what I want is not to force it upon them. I have taken care of my brother and guess what that ain't for me now you would force that do you think as a human I will be able to achieve my full potential?
@jhalakmalhotra2029 Mothers are actually more important than the father between 0 months to around 7 years old; from there it gradually transitions to father until teenagers year.
Yes! Holy crap! The hero's journey with regard to boys has been explained for my and my brothers, but also there needs to be the hero's journey also for the girls, and my daughters!
It totally fit my Mom exactly, the hero's journey from the maiden to the mother. I sent her a link to this powerful presentation that you have made, when she watches it, I bet that her eyes will get as watery as mine own did.
There is a wonderful book about it for women called The Heroines Journey by Maureen Murdock. Another one I’d recommend for young women is Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés.
Excellent, Roni. Thank you. The lack of femininity and lack of maternal energy in many women today across the Western world is a HUGE problem in terms of marriage and the family, which are part of the bedrock of our civilisation (the other being Faith).
Great video! Thanks! My wife and I are 25 years apart and practicing 😉 for our first child. I am super excited about it! These videos definitely help me understand her better. 🙏🏼
She is all things light and airy, open and inviting, nurturing and warm, sweet and graceful. She is the cool breeze of night on sunbaked skin. She is hand holding and blushing. She is elegance and beauty. She is muse and the music. She is the reason and the power source to follow through.
Glad you mentioned emotional health in here as a marker males were looking for. Intelligence is another thing. I remember thinking I was strange not being interested in a girl until I noticed her good report card, which made me aroused. I've since added onto that with emotional intelligence and a stable personality. You'll see it time and time again all over the internet: A man wants a woman who brings him peace. Markers of good physical health may open the door, but it's a stable personality and intelligence which will keep a good and kind man coming back for more.
Hi Roni. In Dalmatia - a coastal region and Croatian islands, boys are traditionally told: "A woman will be your best friend". Indeed, if reasonable, so it is. However, if not, a source of great sadness. So what is a women? A human. Just human.
Another well-planned, well-researched, well-written piece. You read them beautifully, present them clearly and take care to look good and make your surroundings match the content. Very professional.
You have put out an amazing video that backs up what I have been doing for years as an addiction therapist. Now retired I still try to get these points across to both women and men with differing addictions, mostly in the realm of sexual addition. Many I have dealt with I would start with where they are in the birth order, then what do they believe in life, and any issues of trauma in their childhood with mother or father, and even siblings. Modern feminism is a distortion from the suffragettes of old, and the young men and ladies of today are being brainwashed with porn and hollywood movies. I am new to your channel but will investigate more of your work.
Good video. Evolved Feminism seeks to be one with the masculine heroes journey. Once the man yields his place, and she rises the question for her is “what’s next” and what man can I respect?” Also, those advocating evolutionary psychology are using it to explain the current situation even juxtaposed to how we evolved. You’re both correct. You’re focusing mostly on the cognitive, while they’re talking about environmental pressure, social change as well as the mental.
I like 1) the tight organization of the subtopics; 2) the breadth of references to authors; 3) the pace of the video is just right; 4) the visual production / editing / lighting makes it easy and enjoyable to watch; 5) the visual emphasis on someone speaking directly and in full frame to the camera helps me to absorb the words; 6) the video culminating in the merging of the 2 archetypes is satisfying as an ending. In general, all of your videos harmonize different points of view. I think this is your major strength. I have watched lots of Erica Komisar and Carrie Gress and others, and yours are the most educational, not to say the others aren't great, they are just more focussed and don't provide the sweep of ideas that yours do.
I like your videos. There is lots of reading. Thanks for your logical thinking. We're sick of emotional crap. We need more women like you whom we can reason with or think and still maintain their femininity.
Wow, I'm so grateful to the algorithm for putting you on my radar. I've watched a couple of your videos already, which have been thoroughly enjoyable and impressive in equal measure. Keep doing what you're doing, the world desperately needs you right now!
I'm wondering about nuns, how is it working for them? All those energies are present in every woman but they sacrifice motherhood and sexuality to serving a greater purpose of God. That is such a deep thing.
The maternal part of your conversation hit a nerve. My ex is not romantic, and lacks the maternal instinct. She abandoned her son at a very young age, so there's no surprise there. Anyhow, this created a relationship dynamic in which I did not felt safe emotionally, or able to express my deepest fears. This was mentally exhausting. There are days when a man needs sweetness, not vinegar. Long term, meaning marriage or moving together, this can be worrisome for a man. I always wondered what would happen if I fell ill, or was disabled due to an accident. I feared that, in such event, she would discard me for lack of that maternal instinct. Men are strong, but that doesn't mean we can always be strong. We also have our moments of weakness too. Your video got me thinking, and that is good. Onward!
Excellent work Roni, just the book references you used in the video are a whole another study by themselves. Was expecting to see Maureen Murdock's "The Heroine's Journey" to be reference somewhere, however, her thesis is quite visible in the thinking behind your premise. Very well tied together, quite obvious it took a lot of work. Keep up the great work! Greetings from Bharat, that is India.
though the Beast is still living in his parents house (castle) :P In my point of view, its not necessarily needed to live in an own flat or something. It always depends on the situation really. Some guys dont have to get an own place just for having one. Helping your family until you found the right partner is also a thing. Especially in families where you dont put your parents into care stations if they are too old, but take care of them yourself.
You come across as a balanced woman in every aspect. As a 41 yr old man, I have experienced only a few times when a romantic partner showed her nurturing side (and honestly I was pleasantly surprised). As I grow wiser, I search for exactly the kind of woman you have described. Unfortunately, around us we see many women who may garner attention but beyond a certain point we as men don’t feel anything for them. Because their basic trait of nurturing is absent. Btw, I have been brought up by a very nurturing mother and three sisters.
12:10 Human Psychology is "deeper" than Evo-psyche and game theory. But let's not even play around with the idea that they mean nothing. That just isn't true. Psychology is, after all, an investigation of motives. And people have only a few of those. That's all it takes to make all the various strategies for living that we see, some more efficacious and therefore valid than others.
The reason why we don't have discussions on the question "What is a woman?" is because we already know what a woman is. It's self-evident, and anyone who claims otherwise is likely trying to promote an agenda. I consider these truths to be self-evident.
Belle's character arc is rather complete at the beginning of the story. She already has the qualities needed to sit with the Beast while seeing the Man. But how can she do that? How did she learn it? An answer comes from Bolin's book "Goddesses in Everywomen". There she examines Persephone's journey from Maiden to Queen. She is taken by the very god of the Underworld and separated from her mother. In psychoanalytical terms, she dives deep into her own unconscious. Through a series of trials, she eventually emerges as the Queen of the Underworld. So, she achieves self-mastery, but the feminine version, namely the ability to hold space for her own wild emotions, for her own hurt or trauma. With this under her belt, she is able to sit with the trauma of other people and not get triggered by it (from children to lovers). And, it should also be noted that a woman's "job" isn't to do all of this emotional labour. We owe it to ourselves to meet our dragons and heal our hurt (because the power to do so is ours). However, sitting with powerful emotions is part and parcel of any kind of relationship, including the one we have with ourselves.
Only a well-prepared knight can hope to defeat a dragon without suffering heavy damage. It takes training, equipment and readiness; while nobody but the knight can plunge steel into the heart of the dragon, it is everyone around the knight who have the power of aiding or diminishing his readiness. A woman's role is making sure all of her knights and knightesses are as ready as can be for the struggle ahead.
Hey Roni! Great Video, I really loved it and also appreciated your jungian approach to all of this. I wrote my final thesis for my psychotherapy training in Vienna on the female heroes journey. I stumbled upon murdocks „the heroines journey“ and Valerie Estelle frankels „from girl to goddess“. I know it’s a far shot, but if you are reading this and want to elaborate on this topic a little more I’d love you to check them out and maybe incorporate that into a video in zur future ! Greetings from Vienna
This is maybe one of your best videos so far. I was going to mention that you left off one of the archetypes, but then you mention the matriarch archetype at the very end, which I've always referred to as the crone archetype. Jared Diamond wrote a book "Why Is Sex Fun?" where he explains human sexual behavior through evolutionary biology. One observation in the book is that female humans are the only mammal which go through menopause. Men, and other mammals, male and female, can generally make babies right up until the time of death. Diamond speculates that the reason for this is that childbirth is hard on the body, and having a specific age at which this option disappears makes it more likely that the woman will survive into old age. Diamond doesn't go there, but I will. There is only one logical conclusion one can draw from this: crones were critical to the survival of the human species. It's fun to speculate that out of multiple contemporaneous hominid species, ours survived due to the miracle of menopause. It's also not hard to think through why older women would be critical to the survival of a tribe. This is perhaps something you can cover in your video on matriarchs, but to provide just one example, prior to written information, an oral tradition was required to retain tribal knowledge about medicinals, herbs, plant toxicity, and other facts important to survival of the tribe. And who better than a crone to be the keeper of this knowledge?
A woman is a human female that has gone through puberty, also considered an adult human female. Tbh when gender started becoming a feeling is the problem, i understand over time words can change but gender is just another term for sex that is safer to use around work and children. Its nit a feeling its a gentler word for something else that could be taken out of context. Fyi about to watch this
In flowers, the recipient of pollen that gestates the seed, that is the female. The filament and stamen and those things are the male, they provide the pollen. Extraordinarily simple.
Women and men clearly are different. The physical differences are easy enough to talk about but the personality differences are not easy for me to talk about.
There's a story from Egypt and hermetic teachings. Man was made from the love of mother nature to the sky god. Giving us our bodies to enjoy. But what is a woman thing is man's mirror to each other. The left hand who sees the right hand. The masculine nature who can interact with the feminine nature. The bad or negative people play the toxic element in us all. Why do we act differently? Well does the left hand do everything that the right hand does? When u drive u can try to use one hand to do everything but it's extremely hard. So what should we do? Well we can explain everything about other creatures and how they are maximize their potential. A dog does its dog thing, a bird does its bird thing. So man knows everyone roles but neglect to understand his role, the role of how to people then from there how to play it's gender, and how it see itself in the world. He will avoid it at all cost with lies and drugs.
I wouldn’t make a chromosomal argument (although that feature is relevant to 99% of cases), but rather a teleological and evolutionary historical argument. Tomas Bogardus is probably the best philosopher on this subject, perhaps tied with Kathleen Stock and Helen Joyce (although latter isn’t a formal philosopher)
There would be no mankind without women. If you look at a society you can judge its health by the quality of its women. One should be careful to judge quality in measuring its effect on the ability of society to adapt to change. Women are as diverse as snowflakes, even more so today, which grants great flexibility of adaptation. This is the strength of diversity.
Perhaps it's just me, but I've always worried about what a woman is trying to get out of me when she is acting all feminine and caring. It always feels like some kind of trick.
You know as a man myself I have the question. Is being a support to achieve something great so much worse than being the hero who could not achive his/her heroism without the support? Stop the main charater syndrome
With regard to the "Transformative" nature of women, in their becoming "completely different people depending on the week", and the total transformation that happens when a woman becomes pregnant, I am wondering what your position is about weather women should be placed in positions of leadership or strategic decision making for enterprises or organizations.
Sounds to me like women have about 25% of the responsibility. This only works if they also have 25% of the authority, instead of what the balance is now. And this imbalance *WILL* correct, one way or another.
Agreed. Currently in the West, women have almost 100% authority, and whine constantly because they want to be men. As married with two daughters I now see women as toxic. They are designed to support not lead, and have broken society. The correction will be painful, but I want to see this happen before I die. At 66 I am sick of what I have had to go through at the hands of women.
What you were talking about at 31:35 or so makes me wonder if that is why so many same sex female marriages have such a strikingly higher divorce and domestic violence rate.
I think that your videos are getting suppressed. I was looking for this to watch it again. I even entered your name Roni and you channel doesn't come up....
I feel so stupid clicking on this video, and I feeling even more stupid writing this comment. Women is just the opposite gender of human male, that's it. I used the word 'Gender' because it's the proper and original word to describe the type of a human (i.e Male or Female). The word 'Sex' should not be used to describe the type of human, because 'Sex' is a word which is used to describe the action of intercourse, but these days we are using it to describe genders, which is wrong, and we should stop that.
Problem these days are mothers are under so much pressure and so much judgement from society that no matter what she does, she's pretty much screwed. If she works, she feels guilty for not being there for her child(ren). Plus this creates stress and agitation, she's exhausted and eventually reaches a stage of burnout. This is added to by men having a stereotype towards women having to be everything, do more than her fair share and deal with a partner that's either immature, selfish, and expects his partner to mother him and show him unconditional love buy allowing him to act out, serve him, or cheat, with out consequence, or he wants to dominate, belittle her, and constantly disrespects or humulates her. If she stays home then she seen as usless, dependent, lazy, and therefore disent deserve respect, hasn't earned the right to have a say or a voice in decisions made for her life or in the house hold that she's expected to do everything in without breaks, with out apperication, and is expected to it alone since she "dosent have to work". And by the time the kids are old enough for her to have a chance to start putting some of the focus back onto herself, her partner has lost all attraction to her, and is usually having an affair or a p*rn addiction so severe that it breaks her. Women have a mothering instinct, we just dont want it anymore, its has proven to be the very thing that destroys our lives, gets us abandoned, and ultimately left alone in the end. Alot of women have caught on to this pattern and have decided if that's what's going to happen in the end, then I may as well just stay alone if its going to happen anyways. If men want us to have a nurturing instinct, then they need to stop treating us like were less than, like we're disposable, and were not allowed to have a voice.
@GurneroMaelstrom and you sound like the very grown boy that uses and destroys women because he has no other way of feeling masculine. Thank you for providing the very evidence needed, turning my opponion, into fact. Try bettering yourself instead of attempting to tear down those around you, or strangers on the internet most likely from the spare room in your parents house. I understand it's easier to belittle others instead of attempting to better yourself, especially when you belive that everything should be handed to you. Thank you for again for validating my original comment.
agreed. What a stupid woman ! To blame anyone other than herself for her lack of 'woman intelligence'. sounds like a Mexican auntie who went to the military - not feminine at all!
I love a real voice in a sea of bots.Of COURSE the discussion of women is much more grey than the black and white of stereotypes from fairy tales. So much is overlooked and oversimplified it makes me wanna scream! I. Thanks for your intervention.
There is a major flaw in this video in that its reasoning is emergentist rather than reductionist. It looks at a bunch of examples of feminine virtue but without defining what it is to be essentially feminine. This is something i think can't really be done without the Bible, since that's the source of the revelation that masculinity and femininity are distinct special creations by God designed to image His nature.

9:03 As a man I'd give everything for that feeling of true authentic admiration, all that man wants is recognition.

Because a man’s struggle is vertical. We struggle for a spot in a hierarchy. This is why respect matters to us.

Greetings from Vienna
im like to here that, some times i feel lost in such importhent themes. Thank you it helps me understanding my life.
Fyi about to watch this
get out from your rabbit hole, the earth isnt flat
You are a divine being. You come from realms of unimaginable power and light, and you will return to those realms.
She got a cute wig on and eye contacts and nice pearly white dentures and perfect crayon-made eyebrows babe 😍 💕 ❤❤❤
Well done Roni.
This is Excellent and Wonderful. Bravo
This is the strength of diversity.
refreshing to hear a girl say these truths.
Will you also cover the archetype of the crone?
Perhaps it's just me, but I've always worried about what a woman is trying to get out of me when she is acting all feminine and caring. It always feels like some kind of trick.
34:59 "We also have the transition to The Matriarch, which I'll hopefully cover in a future video."
Anxiously waiting for this video.
She hot, than she talks and she gets hotter. That's rare these days
You know as a man myself I have the question. Is being a support to achieve something great so much worse than being the hero who could not achive his/her heroism without the support? Stop the main charater syndrome
Now I know!
With regard to the "Transformative" nature of women, in their becoming "completely different people depending on the week", and the total transformation that happens when a woman becomes pregnant, I am wondering what your position is about weather women should be placed in positions of leadership or strategic decision making for enterprises or organizations.
Like yeah, why did it become a mystery. it's just adult female human. (haven't finished watching the video)
Sounds to me like women have about 25% of the responsibility.
This only works if they also have 25% of the authority, instead of what the balance is now. And this imbalance *WILL* correct, one way or another.
Sounds to me you're dumb i.e.you lack rational thinking in terms of cause and effect.
The man who married this woman has won in life.
No sht, right? They don't have ones like her around here. 💕🎁✨
I would love to see you make a video on "What is a Man?"
What you were talking about at 31:35 or so makes me wonder if that is why so many same sex female marriages have such a strikingly higher divorce and domestic violence rate.
maiden, mother, crone
Roni you're so pretty and intelligent and a woman.
That was a fantastic explanation! I agree with everything you said, Roni. Well done!
You forgot about the crone
I think that your videos are getting suppressed. I was looking for this to watch it again. I even entered your name Roni and you channel doesn't come up....
Trump administration just solved that
Trump solved nothing
We need to report this channel. It's exceptionally undersubscribed and needs more recognition 😂
So, what you're saying is that modern women in the first world aren't women at all. I agree.
@infinity-r8f
Oh, so we used the word “sex” for hundreds of years to describe “gender”, until we got smart. Got it.
Lol no, gender is a modern invention
Unfortunately the term ‘gender’ is now toxic.
This is incorrect - sex is the biological category, sexual intercourse is the act.
This just sounded like non-stop whining and professional victim-hood complex to me. Nice essay attempt though.
@waanaabe-4795 I agree 💯! And thank you very much.
God Roni I wish you got more views. you deserve them.
Wow, you are gorgeous
There is a major flaw in this video in that its reasoning is emergentist rather than reductionist. It looks at a bunch of examples of feminine virtue but without defining what it is to be essentially feminine. This is something i think can't really be done without the Bible, since that's the source of the revelation that masculinity and femininity are distinct special creations by God designed to image His nature.
The Greatness of a Mother can be helpful to the Greatness of her children.

Anyone can be a woman nowadays 😂
The quicker we all agree that life itself has a parasitical nature... This planet is our host 🤷 Wikipedia (HUMAN MICROBIOME) 😉
Sadly, Roni, clever Jewish women were at the forefront of feminism.
Trump just sorted it
Only a start. There is a lot to do.
