I'd comment jokingly about failing to notice the big red flashing and beeping text in the middle of your screen saying "You have X amount of seconds to get back on the map OR YOU WILL DIE" but i've been known to do similar stupid things.

When you see this thing and you aim for the turret you can already imagine the explosion.

There's a certain amount of ammo you can load in it that leaves big open spots to prevent being ammo racked often, especially against heatfs and solid rounds. The ammo is stored right behind the gun breech and at the very side ends of the turret, which most people dont shoot at. There will be empty spots right behind the crew where it's often shot at.
And then somehow manage to weave the one shot you had right inbetween the gaps of the ammo doing absolutely nothing but turn them yellow.
I would say the Type 75 SPH is the closest. Its still pretty mobile with a fully rotatable turret and shell selection as this and is autoloaded but a longer reload and can carry a lot of shells in the racks.
The Bkan is slow, unflexable, doesnt get smoke rounds, and has a gimmick of a really stupily fast reload that depletes all of you 14 shella before you could even think about aiming a killshot
I wish they implemented an enduring confrontation mod for grounds with extra big maps, so we can actually use howitzers as artillery

Its a tracer from a shell that broke off on impact
Shoot your machine guns at the ground, you'll see the same effect on a much smaller scale. Keep in mind that not every bullet fired will do it

Oh BTW that tank gijin did something to its ammo rack which i feel was because they want to make it easier to kill as when taking like 15 rounds they stack for a column on the outside and then fill from the center of the turret where as it should only auto load from the center so that's surely where the rounds should fill from.

Proxy rounds are worth it especially in the japanese artillery tank, I've gotten kills shooting into cap points cuz the airburst comes in handy

Day 56. All this talk of derpage makes me think back to the old days of World of Tanks, when the KV-2 was the undisputed King of Derp. Nowadays, the nerds to HE ammunition have basically killed the game. But when you talk about ammo racks, it’s as if nothing in War Thunder has changed. I mean, not saying it should. Although I would make arguments about that issue with shells that are hit turning black, but do not explode. Hopefully this will sometime loop around to the T26E4 Super Pershing and it’s innate abilities.

If they're going to add a Howitzer, at least add a Howitzer mechanism. Just some mechanism that allows you to shoot indirectly.

imagine they give us some way to use arty tanks the way they were ment to be used. as arty. they need to give them some special view or way to pin point map in thos tanks then it will give you a measurement to set the gun then you fire and pray you hit the enemy. i think it will be more realistic and unique to warthunder instead of copying world of tanks arty view. the day i can sit at the very back of the map and use arty supporting tanks would be absolutely awesome.
