- The Churchill NA75 in War Thunder is a British tank with an American twist. This Churchill has the amazing 75mm M3 Cannon found on the Sherman! It's just a shame some of the turret only has 30mm of armour! :)
The Churchill Tank is infamously slow and this one is no different at all. Usually the turret armour of the Churchill is enough to absorb most damage but this time around it has a lot of weakspots that make it very vulnerable.
However, in this video... I somehow managed to pull off a couple of insane games with the most ridiculous stuff happening!

The worst feeling in any match is when you're driving or flying to battle for 5 minutes and then immediately die without getting any action
I was driving for 7 minutes last night and got killed before I even got to the point by another person quite literally halfway across the map. The part that pissed me off the most was the fact that it wasn’t even a wheeled vehicle, it was a tank
Absolutely right. This is the worst on Fulda (especially the big one) or Kursk. With NATO mbts it’s not so bad (or the hellcat) but anything else… :/

You probably had a huge booster active as well.
The mantlet is really deceptive. Saw the thickness in the hangar and thought I'd have an easy time going through it with the 6 pounder. My M4A5 crew very quickly learned that was not the case.

I had a match earlier in my 3in Gun Carrier where I bounced 43 shots. I know its not quite a Churchill but close enough for me lol
@@hunglikeahorse120I had a same experience in the German Churchill. Big open map, KV-2 shot at me 7 times, M6A1 tried to flank and shoot me, did not do anything, PZ.IV on the hill did not do anything, i was at C the whole match, and survived, bounced maybe 30 shots.

I always find when I play any Churchill other than the I, I get obliterated. With the Churchill 1 it's a 50/50 of getting obliterated or tanking all the shots and not able to get any pens so just act as the cannon fodder on an objective while a friend or teammate picks them off
@cadenbarnfather1434 Probably the enemy team using apcr against angled armor.
This explains both extremes since apcr has either relatively good or absolutely horrible pen. A player just standing in front of you is often an easy target, see Tiger1 against M18...
If we don't self limit by driving slowly, the Churchill would have to be at 11.0.

This is why all the Churchill, Centurions have a speed governer. Because you are all gentlemens and make it a fair fight.
Why? I never had to shoot a Churchill a second time from front. Piss poor tank.

I've seen some footage of IRL chirchills climbing up some INSANE gradients. They were slow, but they were troop support tanks that could go virtually anywhere.

I just wanted to say, thank u bawz for existing because you taught me a lot about this game, and inspired me to pull through, because u and fly showed me how fun warthunder could be, a few days ago i got my first top tier tank yhe leo 2a5, and now it is almost spaded, i killed 27 tanks in 4 games and won them all, long story short thanks for everything.

Well, who wouldn't love the Matilda, beautiful tank wish it could fit a 6pdr or a 17pdr. The Japanese for sure did not enjoy facing that Queen.

That KV-1 fire situation was a great giggle time. I steer clear of the churchies now due to all the power creeps. This one will stay unresearched likely :(

I haven't spaded mine yet, but the few matches I played were nothing but pain, getting one tapped by everything. Also, every match was a full uptier, so yeah.
So obviously, get the APHE. Those first games with that AP round are miserable, but the M61 with HE filler is a wonderful round in terms of post pen. I'd also recommend playing it in a 4.3 lineup and not a 4.7, as I seem to get much more favorable match making there than at 4.7.
Up tiers are theft
@PNolandS I did play it in a 4.3 lineup, and even after getting the m61 round, it was painful. Full uptiers make it much harder to do well in any tank.

Absolutely love this thing, easily the most fun I've had playing WT in a couple years. Can't wait for it to get moved up to 4.7 or 5.0 and become totally worthless 😅

@@holdencross5904 t14 use to be really good now its just ok. Gets uptiered too much to be a heavy, it's like the jumbo where you play it as a medium-heavy. Imo there are no USA premiums at or below 7.0 BR worth the money. Which is sad coz USA use to have stronk premiums which broke up the Sherman grind. But RU company = nerfd freedom

It was slow for a reason, it was used in support of advancing troops. moving at the same pace of the guys.

To be fair, Churchill was designed for infantry and infantry only. They can be used for tank vs tank engagement with an excellent performance, but given the colossal fat ass that it has, it's more of a target practice for the CAS.

Love this tank, got it right after the update and used to to grind out UK ground tank 3 along with the Sherman firefly and Cromwell mk5 for backup
Could you revisit the Churchill without the weakspots aka the Bricc aka the 3-inch gun carrier? You haven't played it on video since it waqs downtiered to 2.7 (It's really nice there 😍), so I think it'd make an interesting video.
If warthunder was an FPS oddz would walk into a building with a 6 shot revolver, no reloads, no knife, no grenades and kill 20 enemies……. Laughing the whole time.

Spend 20 minutes getting to the fight at the speed of a 90yo with a walking frame, then when you finally get there you're either a literally unkillable murder machine or getting onetapped by a BT before you can get a shot off, no in between
Needless to say I love the thing 😂
But if you pick out the best position for defense , and angle your Armor , you can face any threats from 4.0 to 5.0. I have even had a slug fest with a tiger in this tank once 😂
I still can't help but imagine if this thing had the armor of a Churchill VII with this gun, I mean I'd probably face long 88s if it did but still

If your want MORE SURVIVABULITY try the Churchill mk 7 or something 152 and impossible to kill when angling, I’ve 3 v 1 people so much by just sitting there a wiggling a bit

By god, this is absolute Chruchill beastmode. The capture the point while out of shells then use the cap to re-arm was fantastic.

I say churchill mk 7 should be on 4.3, Churchill mk 4 should be on 4.0 and churchill mk 3 on 3.7 then they will be very good.
Churchill mk7 on 4.3 would be literally unkillable
Wouldn't mind seeing this as well especially since the pz4 are at 3.7 with effectively 100 mm hull if you include the track armor and they have great gun performance. I do well enough but some maps/BR you don't have a chance with 103 pen, hence I stay away from the mk7

I find all of the churchill varients either just die instantly or demolish everything you come across. Its strangely situational.

I had to fight a Churchill VII in a Jumbo. Couldn't go through the side, the MG port, the sloped front, so I just kept shooting his barrel and tracking him.
Essentially a considerably slower Sherman Jumbo at 4.3. Thing is an absolute beast in the right hands, and on the right map. Angle it and the thing is pretty nasty.
The churchill is like, a tank where your game will suck or you will be the terminator

Yo fun pro tip for this tank Put it in 1 CC so you keep it in low gear so you can work up the gears better and you can get up hills faster so your not going on 5th gear up anywhere
I haven't even watched the video, I just saw the title and called bs straight away. I think maybe twice in 15 games I was top tiered in this and those were the only 2 battles where I had actual Churchill style fun bouncing shots and executing those who dared shoot at me.
The other 13 games were all uptiers or same tier getting one shot left right and centre from every damn angle possible by every country. The most painful experience spading a tank I've had since the Archer, which is saying something.

Played the 4.0 Church yesterday. Apparenly everyone knows where to kill me. Managed to pull a flank in it and got 4 kills in one game though. Maybe because by the time I made it to my spot everyone was in a SPAA.

I will say as a German main (it was my first time on the game and didn’t know the armor of the American tanks) the Churchill is one of the tanks that it’s either you kill in 1-2 shots or 5-8, especially when my tanks can be hit by a flys ass hair in the wind and get one tapped that tank is crazy
I rather had the churchill 3. It sits at a lower br and has a gun with more pen. The churchill na75 can see panthers and tigers h1s. It can even fight the ikv 103 with 400mm pen heatfs round which went through my tracks and front plate and killed my last crew member.
defnitely, but tigers arent a big problem unless they're sniping. i hate fighting t34 85s and IS1, cuz the weakspot is easily missed and then the 85mm will melt u
5:00 The 45mm is actually the better gun on the SMK for killing churchills because of the APCR. While APCR is not the best round I have found it invaluable for killing any churchill III that crosses my path, but I think the 45mm's APHE can pen the NA75's turret!

The removal of historical matchmaking was an absolute mistake. Not only for the reasons stated by Odd near the start of the video, but also because you just never see certain maps now. They made the game feel less authentic and took chunks out of the map pool for faster queue times. Crying shame.
