It's a replacement barrel, and in Warthunder it lacks 2 crew members, 2 loaders.
It's not. It's a ballast used in between the rear tires in case it gets stuck in mud or mushy terrain
I was thinking a rolled up camo net. It is a little small though.
The bofors 40mm were known to have replacement barrels.

Started playing french tanks, they're tons of fun. This thing still slaps at 5.7 for some reason.
Same, got the french tree too 6.7 in just a day, The ARL-44 slaps something fierce.
I find myself dragging low tier vehicles into much higher BRs just because the BR spread is kind of all over with the French tech tree. I've been pleasantly surprised with just how effective some of them remain at much higher BRs. The AMD 35 was still slapping up to 2.7 and AMX13 FL11 was still slapping up to 5.7. It's been fun!
try using the 3.7 AMX FL11 in 11.0 matches, you'll be pleasantly surprised. if you can surprise any M1 they're usually a 1kill shot by aiming at the back of the turret, free god mode is always good.
7.0 - 7.7 is pain. Not the bread type.
No, but it’s hard to play them. Amx 13-90, Char 25t, amx 50/lorr 40T can kick ass used well

Day 66: Phly, you should play the Hawk III Chinese fighter; 900lbs of bombs in a biplane at 1.0 that you can dogfight in after dropping. Totally balanced.

I loved playing this vehicle. It has the same gun like the M19/M42 but only one barrel. But it just shreds in it's BR. It's like a ZSU-57 in low tier.

I'm also doing research with the French. The starter tanks weren't that great, but I'm now with the M4A1 Sherman and I have to say this one is really, really fun! I can't wait to get the M4A4. : D

Can confirm this truck used to drive like major ass a couple of months ago when I started grinding France. Don't know how or when the mobility got buffed, but it certainly looks like it did.

Dicker max are free kills if you have HE shells. It just needs to touch the hull
The problem is this. It is horifically slow and it doesn't have that good of a reload. It is not much different than the sturer emil. Has a 122 and can pen literally anything except the speed of the tank and reload ruins it.

@Две три еболе AMD 35, Renault 39, Hotchkiss 39, D2, Somua 35 are incredibly good low tier tanks. They have decent cannons and incredibly good armor at range and when angled. The AMD 35 is very mobile and has a good pen flat trajectory cannon.

Edit: the 40 mm Bofors was built as an Anti-Aircraft Automatic 40 mm gun that was used extensively by us Americans as AA guns on our naval ships
Don’t forget the french and Royal Navy as well, even the Russians received a few through lend-lease. Truly a ubiquitous gun
War Thunder is one of those games thats fun to watch being played and therapist number dialing induced when you're playing...
20:30 - just start to dive from a little bit higher, 800-1000 meters, no less. The thing is not about shooting all the way, but aiming with patience, waiting a sec for plane to stabilize, and then giving 2-3 short but precisive bursts from 500m and down to the exit point.
Easier said then done when there’s 20 AA guns firing at you

Play the M-19A1, its the same thing but with a very trolly thing because people dont know theres 2 clowns in the hull, and its also got 72mm of pen and got reduced from 4.3 to 4.0
