  • Here I'm showing you how I set up my QT5 HVLP Suction feed pot and how I fit the remote pot to your QT5 HVLP sprayer, when needed.
HVLP means High Volume Low Pressure.
Learning how to set up the HVLP and using it will/should speed your paint application up on kitchens, bedroom furniture, doors, woodwork, windows etc.
On a room I can get 3 and 4 coats on in a day.. using water based paints. Something I wouldn't dream of when using a brush.
It gives a finer finish than airless and a far superior finish over brush... meaning you will benefit for a better finish for your customer allowing you to be one set ahead of your competition... and hopefully it allows you to earn more!!!
    (UK prices)
The QTech Stage 5 HVLP is about £900
a remote pot set up about £240
and a different needle set is approx £50
Have shop around your local decorating and spray centres for the best deals.

Hi. If out the suction pot, it can be trial and error depending on how the the paint is to start with.
I like it to be thixk enough when water is added to run off the mixing stick back into the paint and it doesn't sit on the surface for too long.
It's easier to add more water than take it away.
I do say that with the remote pot I have to thin it more as I find if it's still too thick it really struggles to get up through the paint hose.
A bit if practice you soon work out what paint needs more water.
      Paints I use...
AllCoat exterior is a lovely paint to spray using a 1.8 needle set and some water added ;)
Helmi can spray nicely with a 1.5 Needle set.... If 8ts a bit thick you can go to the 1.8 if you feel the need.

Dust.... The turbine blowing does whip up general dust in around the room TBH.

Phoned the Alexseal parent company mankiewicz who were very helpful. can the qtech use for spraying ceiling and interior walls?

No. You'd really want an airless for that
Hvlp, paint needs thinning and it's really for woodwork and furniture spraying.. stuff like that.
It isn't as quick as airless but does have more control and a finer finish.

Have you seen my other video on conventional spray set up yet?
Either conventional or hvlp turbine set up is ideal
It also comes down to cost. What did you want to spend.
