    Super video, could you please recommend a system for spraying gates railings etc , if l was to go for a standard spray gun or an airless system 🍀tks v mch

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  5 місяців тому

      Thanks. Well hvlp would be alot more controlled, as you can turn in the speed and amount being sprayed. Airless would be alot of overspray bit get the job done quicker. Youd use more paint aswel.
      Ideally you'd want someone holding a sheet the other side of the railings to catch the spray with either system.
      I'd maybe be using hvlp for something like that

      oh really? never had an issue. what size tip you using? the one it comes with? if so thats a 1.5mm and youd be better off with a 1.8mm like i use in the video. i do have some helmi and some other bits i can do a video on soon

    Great vid I’ve got some new panelling to paint ,pine and knots is the paint ok ???

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  6 місяців тому

      @TheSmithyt thanks. Well according to the data sheet and tin its suitable for woodwork panelling and knots. It may need 2 coats though. And if you do, leave it an hour before re coat .
      I usually use knotting solution aswel as bin ontop

    Great review mate. Bit of a weird question...Can you put the metal gun pot in hot water to warm up the paint or would that be a problem with build up of too much pressure when using the gun as its then sealed?

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  7 місяців тому

      Hey, im not too sure with that one. I usually warm up prior to pouring in the pot. It may be ok to do as when you pull the trigger it would take the build up out.

    What's the difference between a turbine sprayer and something like a graco 390? What situations would they be used in?

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  6 місяців тому

      the hvlp is high volume low pressure, and you have alot of control with the spray fan, the paint is guided with air passing either side of it.
      airless is pull the trigger and go, the tips you chose decide how wide and how much paint comes out. its alot more powerful, so great for high production work and also spraying loads of walls and ceilings etc
      hvlp is great for more detailed works or even kitchen units. ill make a more indepth video on this soon

    I used it for 2 years, last summer after 45 minutes use, tripped the electrcity in the house. Since then every single time I plug it in and start it, the turbine starts for a second then trips the electricity. Contacted customer service, were useless. Looks like £1000 down the drain. Of course they don't sell the turbine itself. Not worth in my opinion. Air assisted looks better. Great review tho, Bin aqua is great in some cases.

      thanks. Sorry to hear your having issues. a few questions, is it covered in paint or used in the same room as spraying? have you used a different cable which isnt the right one? i cant remember if the turbines have carbon brushes inside them, if they do and theyve worn out, that would cause tripping. or possibly an issue with the power chord.
      i rarely see turbine issues to be fair

      @rnarno 8 місяців тому

      @@sprayaholic thanks for the reply. It was used in the same room most of the time I used it. On the day it tripped I was using it in a small narrow hallway, on a hot day, the turbine was extremely hot. I did try it with a different cable and same thing occured. I am thinking of the carbon brush inside if that is causing it but I just don't know how to fix it...

    • @sprayaholic
      @sprayaholic  8 місяців тому +1

      @rnarno I'll have a look at mine this week. If it is brushes its a simple fix, i can make a quick video if that's the case.
      Paint getting sucked into the unit could have caused an issue. Maybe take the case off and see if anythinv stands out. Take the filters out, they could be lagged up

    • @rnarno
      @rnarno 8 місяців тому +1

      @@sprayaholic that would be awesome thank you. I did clean the filters when I saw it's getting white from the paint. So I paid attention for the filters not getting clogged up. I will try to take the case off to and check if anything stands out. thanks for your replies tho , keep up the great work on youtube. ''How to'' videos normally gets views.
