It crazy to think that EA has still managed to handle the franchise with more care than Disney themselves.

@anything_the_crew_2535 ubisoft is bad for cancelling games and releasing unfinished games also just not a fan of the newer assassin creeds but far cry 6 was fun but there not as popular as they used to be when they consecutively produced good games it's a hit or miss with ubisoft tbh most triple a games fail now since they are hard to make and cost a lot of time and money when indie or smaller games that take far less money and time to make and can easily outsell a triple a game since most still only take a year to make a game like Activision for example all they need to do is get rid of sledgehammer and start releasing them every 2 years so they have more time to work on them instead of releasing multiple shit games in a row

The battlefront series has so much potential. Plus there's entire eras that haven't really been touched too much like the old and high republic era. Everything is either age of the empire or age of rebellion and after which is awesome but old republic just has so much potential.
The problem with Old Republic is that there is a RABID fanbase there. If they messed up Revan, or worse never brought him back.....there'd be actual riots in the streets.
Battle front 2 was trash its whole life cycle. Towards the end it was nothing but hackers and battle neck battle fields.. loaded with obstacles that made using vehicles very annoying..

A new EA battlefront could be good but with the loss of most of the key DICE developers probably not.
There might be a new battlefront coming soon from EA. Respawn are working on a star wars FPS, and it hasent been denied that it isnt battlefront

Madden, battlefield, the 3 guys they had working graveyard shifts for battlefront 2, and a buggy ass release in 2023. It’s clear anything they have their name on is gonna have giant issues.

I beat Fallen Order when it released. The one thing that prevented from playing a new game+ or finish collecting everything was there was no fast travel. I couldn’t believe the mediation spots were not fast travels. Jedi Survivor, I can’t stop playing. That one little tweek made the QOL of the game so much better.
Bro no fast travel in survivor would make me cry. It was still manageable in fallen order, but it would take so much time in survivor if we didn’t have fast travel
Give me more games just like Fallen Order and Survivor. I only play single player games and the stories these two have put out are awesome. My only critique is that outside of two planets there’s not much to explore or do. I wouldn’t be mad if they took the 5-7 year approach and really put out a truly massive game with several fully fleshed out planets to explore.

Jedi Survivor is such a great game, already got platinum on PS5. I hope these game studios are reading the writing on the wall with how much the community(minus pc folks for the time being) is behind these kinds of games and wants to see more like them in the future
What I've heard from buddies and experienced myself is, if you have a decent rig on pc and you don't complain about 2-3 frame drops through the game, then this game is amazing, and we're all happy with it.
Exactly ! But if people are happy with live service hell, micro transaction, no life game, let them have it... I mean, all games like that are just flopping even before release because they are exceptionnally bad. Jedi series like the force unleashed just proved that we want solo games on the universe.. Yeah, and where we can fly from space to ground and vice versa, we get a good story mode and above all else, WE GET AHSOKA AND VENTRESS TO PLAY AS, we could’ve had it in bf2 by EA, but they screwed us all over.
You’re best bet at this point is to play modded bf2 classic - the battlefront 3 mod

I played Survivor start to finish on PC and had no complaints... the occasional frame rate drop, but nothing major or game breaking...

As a loyal fan from day one of battle front 2, it was one of the first games I experienced heartbreak over when the devs gave up on something that I and so many others absolutely adored. They just threw all of our support out the window and gave up, it was just crushing.

The PC issues come down to a lack luster porting attempt. They do not even let you edit PC controls completely. PS5 and Xbox always will be a neutered experience compared to the absolute top end of PC gaming, but what they do offer is consistency in expectations for the developers. They know exactly how then they can slide the margin for error on computational power. I have had zero issues on PC with Survivor but it may be the specific hardware I have. I do not know.

Ubisoft used to make good games but now days they have no idea what their doing. I hope their star wars game is great but I'd be willing to bet that it won't be any good. It'll prolly have terrible combat similar to the recent AC games. They'll prolly give us a magic weapon that gives us some sort of absurd super powers like flying or shooting lasers out your eyes similar to the magic spear that ruined AC Odyssey .
Another announcement was the KOTOR Remake. That’s probably gonna be the most highly anticipated Star Wars game of all time bar when the classic Battlefront III was canceled.

We already have Massive from Ubisoft, and Quantic Dream working on new Star Wars Games, and they have been reports they are also developing a new Star Wars RTS similar to Empire at War. Excited to see what these studios can deliver
Why are we getting hyped by Ubisoft? Ubisoft has been floundering for quite some time. That's why they are losing money time and time again. Hell they want to get bought and no one wants to buy them.

One thing to change in this video is the pc master race comment, star wars Jedi survivor has had performance issues for ALL consoles , with Ps5 having a more stable frame rate then Xbox and pc , any video you search about the performance issues will showcase this
Bro all I want is a multiplayer game with missions to complete with friends and character creation + customizable outfits. I know it’s harder to create than it sounds, but I’m a huge sucker for games with character creators, since I always love doing all the cool work as a character that has a form of feeling like I’m there as myself, if you understand what I’m trying to say. (Customizable lightsabers would be well appreciated in it too ;) )

Respawn did a good job, I hope we get a 3rd installment of SWJ and I hope other studio’s take inspiration from how Respawn handled their games. Open world sounds awesome but Ubisoft has one of the worst track records in the business so that worries me. Honestly KOTOR on UE5 with SWJ-esq gameplay is what I really want.
Kotor is Bioware's brainchild and thus safe in EA territory; unless Disney gives them a license again the idea is dead.
but they could split the SW cake and allow Bioware/EA free reign in their established old republic era while throwing any newer stuff to other developers/publishers
@@rivenoak Well that's just not true. Bioware/EA have never actually owned the rights to The Old Republic era. There were books and comic books galore that were entirely disconnected from EA. Literally anyone, with proper licensing from Disney, can make an Old Republic era game right now.
Thank you for mentioning ubisofts track record. A lot of people don't want to admit that ubisoft has been putting out shovelware for quite some time.
This is awesome!!! I was wondering why the quality games all ended after Jedi Academy, SWTOR2, and SWRC. But knowing EA had exclusivity makes so much sense! It’s been nice having these games with crazy high budgets, but I’m REALLY excited to see what’s up next for Star Wars. I’m only disappointed to hear that EA already got their hands on the next SW MMO before this contract cancelled. Would’ve really liked to see someone else take the reigns on that one.

The moment LucasArts managed all the Star Wars game was so great.
For survivor I played on ps5 and I still had quite bad performance issues, there were times I had to restart the game because the storm missions were running on like 20 fps and I’d freeze for a couple seconds while loading some areas

Dude a pod racing game would be insane, a deep one where you could customize and tinker with the pod racer like a mech game almost.
There was a pod racing game, and it was awful and the pod-racing parts of some of the other games were god-awful. There's literally no way to make it so it is quality. The concept is just awful.
@@williameldridge9382 I liked it but I was also like 10 or something lol so I probably wasn’t old enough to determine what’s good or bad. But I think if they did a Mario kart like game where every pod is different and you can customize them however you want like a mech game, and it’s focus is PvP they could make it good. There use to be a racing game with futuristic hover bikes that was good enough to be at every arcade and have a console version.
Like a racing game, have different planets have different tracks, be able to put weapons that work like Sebulba had that work on a cool down. Kind of like permanent item boxes in Mario kart but once you use them they have a cool down. Certain parts could make your pod handle better or faster but handle worse. I think you can make any racing game good with the right gameplay and mechanics

The only problem with Jedi survivor PC performance is on coruscant and in the saloon area on Koboh. Too bad that happens to be the exact first and second area you visit and you also spend the most time on koboh. Everywhere else I got a smoothish 60+ fps at 1440p and i only have a 5700. There's also crashing issues after repeated deaths but most of them seem to be resource storage and allocation bugs and not just a poorly built game.
I had no major issues with Survivor on PC. My only problem was with the boss design. Four new unique boss designs. One of which is Rick, the Door Technician...
Disney owns the IP, but CG/EA own the game. Even if Disney pulled the IP license, that doesn't mean they get the game. They would have to buy the game (or the rights to it) from EA/CG.
EA is losing the exclusive license, not the license itself. Unless another studio makes an absolutely convincing pitch that they can make a mobile game that will almost certainly make more money than SWGOH, Disney would be dumb to pull the license. SWGOH makes more money than all the other Star Wars games combined, multiplied several times over.

It's all good and all, but don't forget that making a game under such established brand is not cheap. "Anyone" can't actually give it a go, just those who have a few million dollars to pay franchise fee and a few more for actual development and marketing.

I know I know, some PC players say they have issues, and some reviewers do as well on PC. But, there are also those of us that had no issues on day one and some reviewers that also had no problems so I have to say it is blown out of proportion.

as a PC gamer, I can say that jedi survivor is the best star wars game I've played, very few performance issues for me!

The thing I dislike the most about Star Wars Survivor is the heavy content of Parkour, and how it progressively gets more extreme. I'm not good at that, and because I fail so often, I may never get to the end of the story. The story mode effects combat, but not the parkour stuff, so it is the same whether you play story mode or extreme difficulty. Does anyone else find this aspect of the game as difficult as I do? I've tried playing with a game controller and keyboard and find the keyboard controls easier for me than the controller device.
my star wars game would be an open world game where you can go anywhere in the cannon. every planet. every space station, the whole shabang. you could also make your own fleet of ships out of any thing you can get your digital hands on. you could also build bases on planets nms style. maybe coruscant could be the hub world for you operations and your starter base if you will. you could be jedi, Sith, imperial, separatist, or a custom faction so you could revive the roman empire. you could choose what kind of soldiers protect your fleet/bases, droids, clones, or conscripts. that would be the greatest star wars game ever. unless its EA, then it will probably suck ass

I got Battlefront 2 for christmas 2017 and with hindsight I'm so glad they improved the game to the point they did,

If a Star Wars game was made where it’s essentially Skyrim, where you create your own character, and make choices that form you to become a Jedi, a Sith, a bounty hunter, a criminal organization leader…the possibility’s would be endless. Have character defining moments that you choose certain outcomes that brings your character closer to the Light side or the Dark side, or a honorable or dishonorable bounty hunter.
The next game, I want Cal to have both Light and Dark force abilities, like a Force Choke, or Something dark, but also grow in the light using both…..neither Jedi or Sith or even both

We need a new Force Unleashed game. Remaster/remake or a new story where we can play as a badass unstoppable force user doing crazy cinematic things. Enough soulslike struggle simulators, i want my space magic power fantasy.
I'm extremely surprised that no one else is saying this, I would love a force unleashed game with the feel of the new jedi games. Imagine survivor, but with starkiller and his abilities, you can't tell me that wouldn't be sick lol.

So what’s happening with Star Wars eclipse
BF2 is missing so many characters. BF1 didn’t even have Ben Kenobi…
Their exclusivity contract has been over for almost two years now, there have been star wars games in development not under the EA name for awhile now.
EA essentially cut out the problem of paying a bunch of QA testers to try different PC build configs and instead forcing their players to do the QA tests for them in the form of crash reports. The cost cutting measure alleviates the burden of PCs being highly customizable but also quite unpredictable. Even now the past few days of steam reviews are closer to 70% as bugs affecting the majority of PC builds were targeted first and mostly resolved. Give it a few months and the forgetful consumer base either regards the game as "oh its fixed now" or "oh its still bad", this is just how PC releases have been going the past few years.
Anyone else still waiting for the perfect Star Wars VR game?
Also - I'd like to add that there is a slim chance that the Respawn FPS doesn't have a multiplayer, making a first person shooter and *not* adding in a multiplayer is a colossal waste of money. I imagine that game is going to be like Titanfall 2, a 10ish hour campaign story with multiplayer to go along with it.

Disney should of had something in the contract that if they cancel so many games or basically do nothing with the IP EA voides the contract. Or punish them by making them pay more for licencing to make games

I would love to play a star wars battlefront game with a campaign similar to Inferno squad, but this time around, we play as a group of clone troopers. I know that there is star wars the renegade squadron but I'd love to have a new game that tells the story of clones before during and after order 66. Or maybe even a game where the clones are finding away to stop their fast aging.

05:03 I don't know man. I have played on PC from day one and I even pre-purchased the deluxe edition and I have ZERO issues with it
me too, but steam reviews, where I bought the game, trash the way the game was released for pc (mainly high end CPU and GPU, bottlenecking its performance). That is not just a coincidence or a couple of angry guys, but a big chunk of the pc community players. After some updates, comments started to be more soft, but still... On my side I had no problem from the start with "outdated" RTX2070 and an i7 10750H. Cheers. Survivor is surely a great game.
