I once got teabagged by a Vader Palpatine combo when me and my friend were a level 28 BB-8 and level 6 Finn respectively, safe to say we switched to out over level 100 mains and decimated them.

Not an MMO. It’s just a mode in a Star Wars PvP game revolved mostly around 20vs20 Firefights and was made by the same people who made Battlefield. The game’s pretty fun, but yeah, this is just a side-mode I often personally avoid. Lol

It wasn't like that 20 years ago, all Legends ever did was adding to the story. And you could still discard it if you wanted to. But those were the only 2 options basically. Now, it's very messy to navigate: some people like Disney, others like parts of Disney and parts of Legends, some stick with Legends and others only care about George's movies. But if you don't count the games as part of the whole, why even play them? That's why I'm really picky about what SW games I play. I gotta admit though, this idea of a "whole" is becoming more and more of a headache.

Yeah that never happened. I distinctly remember old Starcraft 1 lobbies with things like "Noob=ban", "no slow connections", and kicking people just because it was funny. Even funnier when they joined again so you all voted to boot them again just for the giggle. Heck even "gg no re" was a smug way to brag about ruining your opponent that only very recently became verbotten because Blizzard wanted to obfuscate how evil it is now. i bet once, i lost, and i paid. my word is worth a lot more than a few bucks. but yeah i never once got paid when i won :( well not with money anyway. but a guy bet his character that he could beat me 1v1 in an mmorpg, but if i lost i had to give him a super rare item i was wearing. i took the bet. my character was a meme "unascended" first job lvl 93 character against his lvl 97 second job character (second jobs are straight upgrades to first jobs in every way, i didn't take my ascension for the memes, i wanted to be the most powerful 1st job in the server and beat clueless bullies in pvp). odds were hugely in his favor, but i used superior strategy and managed to squeeze a win. he said it was a fluke and that it would never happen again, and asked for a rematch. no one would say a thing if i refused, but oh well, that's why i made a meme character. and the crowd wanted more blood. so i accepted. i beat him again. by a hair's width. it was AWESOME. i seriously didn't not expect to win twice in a row. then he actually deleted his character. i told him not to but he did it anyway. gotta commend his guts, a character like that takes like 4 months of work to make. anyway, he made a new one on a different class and later thanked me because he liked his new character so much more than the old one. good ending.
The closest mode to 1v1 is Hero Showdown, where it's 2v2. People usually will honour the 1v1 system there but of course there are always the assholes who won't. What's funnier is people raging that people aren't respecting 1v1 in Heroes Vs. Villains, a 4v4 team mode.

Brother and I got sick of all the messy bugs Chivalry 2. We needed something to play in the meantime so I just found this game a couple of weeks ago and we had a blast in Co-op. It has a great offline mode too. Looks beautiful. Just kinda mad I didn't get into it earlier, but then it probably wouldn't be as fun 4 years later.
I love when people talk mad shit as the villains, then when they get to heroes they get absolutely demolished. At least in the early days, villains were pretty much an automatic win

That's just how BF2 works, like HVV (which I think is the gamemode he's playing) is always put into two teams: light vs dark. And there's no friendly fire so you're kinda stuck doing it this way

I don't get the modern mindset in pvp games. I used to 1v1 people better than me because that was the only way to get better, especially when you've hit a wall or your progress has slowed to a crawl. It wasn't like that 20 years ago, all Legends ever did was adding to the story. And you could still discard it if you wanted to. But those were the only 2 options basically.
Now, it's very messy to navigate: some people like Disney, others like parts of Disney and parts of Legends, some stick with Legends and others only care about George's movies. But if you don't count the games as part of the whole, why even play them? That's why I'm really picky about what SW games I play. I gotta admit though, this idea of a "whole" is becoming more and more of a headache.

I miss the time when some of the high level players were caring about newbies and teaching the game to them, so when they improve in the game they do the same thing to other new players and cycle goes. Nowadays literally in every online game there are too many toxic players.
Yeah that never happened. I distinctly remember old Starcraft 1 lobbies with things like "Noob=ban", "no slow connections", and kicking people just because it was funny. Even funnier when they joined again so you all voted to boot them again just for the giggle. Heck even "gg no re" was a smug way to brag about ruining your opponent that only very recently became verbotten because Blizzard wanted to obfuscate how evil it is now.

odds were hugely in his favor, but i used superior strategy and managed to squeeze a win.
he said it was a fluke and that it would never happen again, and asked for a rematch. no one would say a thing if i refused, but oh well, that's why i made a meme character. and the crowd wanted more blood. so i accepted. i beat him again. by a hair's width. it was AWESOME. i seriously didn't not expect to win twice in a row.
then he actually deleted his character. i told him not to but he did it anyway. gotta commend his guts, a character like that takes like 4 months of work to make. anyway, he made a new one on a different class and later thanked me because he liked his new character so much more than the old one. good ending.

The closest mode to 1v1 is Hero Showdown, where it's 2v2. People usually will honour the 1v1 system there but of course there are always the assholes who won't. What's funnier is people raging that people aren't respecting 1v1 in Heroes Vs. Villains, a 4v4 team mode.

This game is nowhere near dead. Not in my country anyways. Hero modes are always stacked, just not Trooper modes

Just started playing 2 days ago. Been a good experience on pc.
Brother and I got sick of all the messy bugs Chivalry 2. We needed something to play in the meantime so I just found this game a couple of weeks ago and we had a blast in Co-op. It has a great offline mode too. Looks beautiful. Just kinda mad I didn't get into it earlier, but then it probably wouldn't be as fun 4 years later.
I love when people talk mad shit as the villains, then when they get to heroes they get absolutely demolished. At least in the early days, villains were pretty much an automatic win
Respect for that Grievous for respecting the 1v1 when the Maul came and wanted to 2v1

I love the fact that your match ups are always light vs dark side... adds to the hilarity
That's just how BF2 works, like HVV (which I think is the gamemode he's playing) is always put into two teams: light vs dark. And there's no friendly fire so you're kinda stuck doing it this way

Reminds me of some dude giving me crap for being a noob and he challenged me to a 1v1 to “help me get good”. He said I could pick the map. So I picked Kashyyyk as Han and kept det packing his Vader off the edge 😂 All that extra health doesnt matter when you keep falling to your death.
