Didn't think the x-naut fortress could be topped, but here we are.
It's funny people forget that the X-Nauts are aliens living on the Moon so of course they get music like this

they knew they had to go all out for this one. extending it and splitting it into 6 pieces that add elements each time is so hype. My only complaint is that one ONE synth melody right before the track loops from the OG is missing 😭
they did the same with the titular door theme. It's been one of my favorite parts of this game, like with memories in super paper mario, it adds a new instrument after each chapter is completed. Blows the original out of water just from the added piano from completing chapter 1 alone

The ROM just got leaked several minutes ago. At exactly 09:12:42 AEST UTC +10:00. Which means the ROM broke street release by 11hrs 48mins 38secs. That was really close to release date at the furthest timezone, but not quite a historic achievement. lol Which means, Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 remain as the last ROMs of first party games to fail breaking street release date.

Really impressed with how so many of the tracks that I thought would be the most difficult to improve *somehow* got such amazing glowups. Gonna be listening to this soundtrack for weeks!
Honestly didn't expect anything but awesome and this delivered.
If they had made the final section sound closer to the original, that would've been perfect. Still, it's gonna be really difficult to choose the original version over this one.

For the partner abilities it seems to just play their own themes over the ability showcase now which is very wrong to me.

The lead instrument is nowhere as punchy/catchy as the original, which is how I feel about a lot of the remade OST... cool that it changes as you go down though
I mean, it's a remake, it should sound unique, we don't just eant the same song in higher quality, it's gotta have a spin put on it like a new genre, such as the rock genre added to some bosses
I really wish this song had retained the chiptune from the og song. I think that was the best part of it.
