    I work for a lawn treatment company called greenthumb in the uk. We use celadon. Cabedex. Or esteron t, the first 2 is 150ml to 15 litres of water in a knapsack. And esteron t is 100ml to 15 litre knapsack. With a grey DT deflector nozzle

    Hey Ron thanks for all your contents. Quick question with certainty and celsius, will it kill crabgrass and daligrass? If not what do you recommend on treating them weeds?

    • @RonHenry
      @RonHenry  Рік тому +3

      Celsius will kill young crabgrass and Certainty will suppress Dallisgrass. The best way to deal with Dallisgrass is to physically remove it. There's not currently a selective herbicide labeled for use on residential lawns that will control Dallisgrass. You can get Celsius and/or Certainty here: golfcourselawn.store/collections/lawn-weed-killers
      Hope this helps.

    C+C is a great combo for warm-season grass, but tenacity is mediocre at best for cool season. Triclopyr (one of the safest options) or a 3-way or even Speedzone would be better for general broadleaf weed control than tenacity.

    • @mrcaffein
      @mrcaffein Рік тому +1

      Yeah I prefer something like T-Zone (includes Triclopyr) or Q4 for cool season grass, tenacity is more of a specialty herbicide for seeding and a few other unique scenarios, not the best general weed killer.

    Tanacity works great to get the crab grass in my tall fescue but struggles to kill creeing charlie. I just wish Tanacity didnt blech my lawn so much. Spot sprayed with Tanacity and now I have a patchwork of white spots. I kinda feel Tzone with Drive xlr8 does a better job and doesn't blech a tall fescue lawn.

    Greetings Ron, I just found out that 70% of my lawn is Poa. I have overseeded for the past 4 years with TTTF and KB but this Poa has taken over. What can I do to kill the Poa? Should I keep up with my fertilizer schedule or just wait until August and smoke the whole lawn and start over on Labor Day? Thanks in advance

    • @RonHenry
      @RonHenry  3 місяці тому +2

      You can use this to control the Poa. Your KBG might take a hit too but the Fescue should tolerate it fine. Just as long as temps are betwen 70 - 90f: golfcourselawn.store/products/velocity-pm-poa-annua-control-for-cool-season-turf

      @@RonHenry Thank you Ron, the $699 is way out of my budget. I will continue with my scheduled lawn care applications and just scalp her August 1, spray with Round Up, dethatch, grade as best I can, scarify, apply, Carbon Pro G, Starter Fert, Solu-Cal, new TTTF/KB seed and water. May apply some Tenacity also, I will do this all on Labor Day Weekend and pray for the best. I wont core aerate this year.
      My plan is to get a decent lawn by Oct 1, may provide me with enough time to reseed any areas that may not have germinated. Hopefully, my new renovated lawn can look awesome for Halloween. Get her nice and pretty for Thanksgiving and put her to bed for the winter. Love you podcast, I have learned a lot. Thanks again.
