You make amazing videos, I’m no mechanic and watching the next few videos videos on the front end helped me easily replace everything in a weekend! Thank you
Excited to see the next installments 👌🏽
You got me hooked on these 6.0s. I had a nice one years ago sold it and just bought another. Like doing the mods on them. Going to buy a second one soon. Keep up the videos. thanks.
Listen to this man he knows his trucks
Good stuff left lane. I’ve done wheel bearings fairly quickly, though I haven’t done ball joints yet
Thank you so much! This was beyond helpful!
Excellent video
Very informative
Nice Video! I’m listening with IEM’s and can hear the wind howling outside.
Rocking my Left Lane Diesel shirt out here in Idaho!
Sweet!!!
Good info! Dang this cold weather it makes everything way more of a pita
That’s the truth! Lol
Next spring I'm doing my total front end.
First I like what you do on your videos. They are informative and you present it well. On this particular video it was hard to see with the lighting you had. Maybe use another source of light added so I for one can see it. Thanks for your efforts.
really good video a lot of good information, got a question for you maybe you have a better idea so my steering wheel is almost impossible to turn at a stand still, I'm running 20s with 35s I've changed the ps pump and I just put the hd redhead 6 bolt steer gearbox but still have issues turning the wheel when not moving, but as soon as I start moving I can turn the steering wheel with one finger my question is what else you thing it might be? I also replaced both axle u joints ball joints... pretty much almost everything you mention in this video except the drive shaft joints.
Thx
If the front axle u joint(s) are bad, would it cause a sticking steering wheel/failure to return to center? I currently have that symptom intermittently, and if I saw the wheel back and forth when it happens, it seems to free up the sticking
Good video. Lots of good information.
I'm trying to understand the u-joint inspection part. How does locking the hubs help determine if the joints are good/bad? I'm not following.
My biggest issue with my 2006 F350 is everytime I get parts to replace something in the front end they don't fit apparently I have the Dana Super 60 so everything I get has to be for an F-450 based on the numbers at the parts store but what's really strange is the axle in the driver side has a F-450 size U-joint while the axle in the passenger side has an F-350 and I'm pretty sure the ball joints I got for the spindle are for an F-350 while the ball joints for the track bar was for an F-450 so frankly this truck has me confused in some of the worst ways as far as the front end goes what exactly is interchangeable between the Dana 60 and the Super 60
What about the sway bar?
I rebuilding the front end on my 05 6.0 dropping it two inches too, not the most fun thing to do
When prying under tire use a shovel it works beter.
Do recommend OEM parts when it comes to anything to do with front steering? Or aftermarket? And I can't find your tshirt sale
All oem for steering components!
@@LeftLaneDiesels ok cool thx.
And I just ordered a tshirt👍
@@johnnycortez46 thank you! 🙏🙏 I wanted to also mention that I use blue top steering gears!
@@LeftLaneDiesels 10-4.
Do my head gaskets and studs.. 05 f350.. how much?
Expect to be around the 5k range. If heads are cracked and you need injectors then you are closer to 8k
